True story that may give you pause or a smile. One of my best shooting buddies is a surgeon. We were at the range banging steel plates. I made the comment that my front sight was dancing because I had taken a 12 hour Phenylephrine. He goes you know, even as a doctor, I did not know that that stuff will give you the shakes. I had a hernia repair to do and asked Lacey (his pet resident,) if she wanted to scrub in with me. Before the surgery we both got a Phenylephrine from the pharmacy. Got the mesh in ok. Time to close I was shaking so bad I did not feel safe to do that. Looked over at Lacey and she just shakes her head no. (Note: Lacey is a wee person, I suspect a full size phenylephrine had her bouncing.) They asked the P. A. surgical assistant, or someone like that, to close. I told Rob he was giving me no faith in the medical community. His response was oh the patient did great sent him home the next day. Oh I have lost my buddy because he moved to Texas, his home state.
