Yes, we did re-install the wheel wells. The original screws couldn't be re-installed due to the fender lips being rolled, but the holes were still fairly close together so we put zip-ties through the holes and pulled everything tight. We are trying to find an improved way of attaching the wheel wells to the fenders after they're rolled. We also shot a video rolling the fenders on a 2002 Ford Mustang.

Is there a specific roller I need to purchase or use for the VW. I borrowed a couple from some friends, but the stock lug bolts don't fit through the base of the roller. Any help would be much appreciated.
this tool is simoply stretching the whole shape and loosing its body line. To do this job correctly you need to apply equal pressure from both sides. Like an english wheel.

Have you tried a spacer with lug studs that fit?
i would have to run way too much camber i looked into that plus not the biggest camber fan. i was very pleased with my rolled fenders though

There is a adjustable suspension under the Golf, just set it 1/2 inch higher and problem solved... Saves paint ant tires also....
