ok I think the sound effects guy got too happy cause of my comment on last video. I love em! But he needs to volume down so I can still hear you over them! ;) Good vid tho.
Thank you this is really valuable! I have to listen to it a second time. So very true. I'm one of those that tend to overthink at times because I want to be different....sometimes too different. Your vids are really cool please teach us to do those too
Another very valuable video. Organizing an email list is on my to do list so I appreciate the information you've provided. I have to agree with others' comments regarding the sound effects. You don't need them. Your videos are great without them. Thanks Mei
@@CreativeHiveCo I am really enjoying your videos! I am a soap and body care maker. I have a few emails from last craft show so I can build on it. I need to get on it!!
Thank you Mei! I'm back on Shopify and found that Mailchimp is confusing to use. So I deleted it and am trying out MailerLite. I want to try your Ladder Discount Sale as you explained in your other UA-cam vid.
That's great, Lovena! MailerLite is a great marketing platform. A lot of people also like Klaviyo though MailerLite is a little more straightforward. Good luck with your sale!
Question! Do you have insight on starting and growing an email list WITHOUT A WEBSITE (I'm working up to building a website in the future but want to start an email list now)...Is it possible? PS. Can I just say I super appreciate how you respond to every comment...It's quite generous of you!
Thank you for being so sweet, Courtney! And yes, it's totally possible. Most email marketing companies will allow you to link to a signup form that you can post on your social media and other platforms so you don't have to have a site to embed a form into. And Facebook has a button on their business pages that you can set to "sign up" which will send them to a sign up form. I think it's a great idea to start now - then you can announce your new site to them! 💖
@@CreativeHiveCo What if you don't have a website and social media: not yet anyway and you sell to repeated and new customers from word of mouth, is there something out there to use to send out emails to your clients other than using your email address?
I’m working on setting up a Facebook business page. Just selling locally for now. I don’t have an online shop aside from that. Would you still recommend an email list or is this something more for online shops? If so is there a free one that you recommend?
I recommend an email list always. That is a main source of contact to your exisiting customers. You can build that list as you move platforms and grow your business. Mailchimp is a free platform a lot of people start with.
Hi Mei, it's indeed amazing you take the time to respond to each one of us and give us your advice. I contacted you few times and you are among the very few people who come back to give your opinion and advice. I'm at the point of enriching my knowledge and I find the point of marketing quite difficult but of utmost importance. Question (silly question), Since I will now start building the customers' list, how am I going to reach and get them to know me since I don't have their email? ☺️🙄
Question, I am only currently on Etsy. As I understand it, I cannot gather emails, there, is this correct or is there a way to do it without losing my shop?
I heard there is an Aweber integration with Etsy that lets you collect subscribers when customers are checking out with your products. Don't know a whole lot about it, and you'd have to comb through Etsy TOS to really have an answer... I would personally reach out one on one to past customers to invite them to join my email list over Etsy convo. Not all will convert, but some will and that's a start!

Yes, definitely do it! Even starting small helps a ton and you can learn a bunch now before the list really grows.

Courtney, that's a very good question. I always wondered the same thing.

I’m considering switching from MailChimp to MailerLite
