🚨NEW FREE WORKSHOP FOR 2022🚨 Learn how to create a PROFITABLE handmade business online without keeping up with social media 🔽 Watch the free workshop here: bit.ly/3Kn8ds7
I took your advice and posted a necklace on a white background with a simple question, "What's your favourite flower?" And had double the reaction of any post in the last 2 months. Looking at analytics I can see that posts where I post simple questions have much more reaction! Thank you :) Implementing your strategies bit by bit ^_^
You're correct about posting other's work. I sell weekly at our area farmers market. When I combine one of my food products with something from another vendor's products and tag the market, I get the bonus of them sharing on their pages. This has gotten me so many new followers and customers.
I love the way you only put simple questions. You show your product without making it an ad or asking people to buy anything, but you get engagement. Is there any way to figure out if the post generate sales?
So many great tips and advice, things that had not yet hit my radar! I am starting a new business setting the groundwork for it first. I am feeling a little intimidated about my launch - so much to learn about websites and marketing aside from creating my digitized designs. Thank you for doing these videos they have helped me a lot. I will look into your website and your courses on marketing as that is my weak point.
Thank you for your video series. Trying to start my own thing and I really appreciate the advice. I'm about ready to start taking pictures, so I will be watching more of your videos first! May success be ours in 2021!
I love this video too and very very informative, sitting down to revamp and reconcile my page and social media. Also shared this to a couple of my friends that sell in Facebook.. Thank you
Thank you for your response, but in another comment of this video, I read that boosting a post is like a "dead end" ad, though you recommend to invest at a Facebook ad. It seems that there is a difference, but thank you for your time to respond.
Ah, I see what you mean. I was referring to the fact that for both you are paying for views. This article explains the boosting: www.agorapulse.com/blog/boost-post-facebook-advertising/ but I do personally prefer and use FB ads.
@@amel2784 my apologies...that wasn't meant to go under the previous posters comment. It was meant for you. Sorry. The first link you have for the Facebook group sent me to a person named Muhammad.
A Mel, you can find my jewelry at tinyhandsonline.com. Barbara, thank you, I'll check the link but here it is just in case: facebook.com/groups/347318245463423/
Hi Mei, can I use my personal page for my business instead of starting a new page for the business.. Like I will change my name to the business name and all that stuff..
I wouldn't. The business page is a more formal format. You can post your business location and contact info, and you can link to your products or email list. It's really best to keep business and personal separate, and personal FB pages don't do the work the business page will. Here's a video on setting up your business page: ua-cam.com/video/m8cEtiatTn0/v-deo.html
The best thing to do is test a few posts and look at the engagement you get. Look at your stats and insights for the post. See the times people are responding to it. Then test another one at what seems to be your best time and compare.
@@CreativeHiveCo Thank you for such a prompt response. I really appreciate it. Where do I find the post scheduler? Where do I find a reliable social media planning app? I’m just getting started in my business. Thanks again. Any link she might care to share that might help others as well?
For the apps, I would look into Later, Planoly, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Sendible. And here is how you can schedule posts on Facebook: facebook.com/help/389849807718635
What can you do to gain more followers or brand awareness when you do not have a product to post yet? FYI, I've been posting about inspirations, blog, and aesthetics but did not spend any advertisement boost yet.
You could follow accounts that you feel are in your niche and start interacting with them. This could bring them over to your account. You can use hashtags to get your content noticed, and you can post teaser photos ahead of the product - maybe supplies, tools, in-progress - just to give a little peek.
Your content is AMAZING, ENGAGING, AND INFORMATIVE I've shared your videos with my friends and family who, like me are interested in starting their own handmade products business, so I told them, start here and watch EVERYTHING! That's what I'm doing and I feel so much more prepared to take the necessary steps to get my business off on the right foot, and using your advice and learning from your experience, I believe I'm ready to take the first steps toward a lucrative and rewarding business doing what I love...and working smarter, thanks to YOU! BTW, my life's passion is miniatures, but that's not what I'll be selling, unless, as per your advice I might make it a small, occasional part of my business, cause as you know handcrafting something like 40-50 teeny-tiny cherries to top my Graham-cracker crust cheesecake for the dollhouse I have been building since dinosaurs roamed the earth...so yeah, point taken, as much as I love every second making my teeny tiny cherries and Graham cracker crust cheese cake, is definitely not be the best use of my time! So, thank you again for sharing your incredible I'm grateful to you for sharing your incredible. wide-ranging, comprehensive, and valuable knowledge and experience! I will be signing up for your program in the very near future.
Thank you so much for your comment - I DO know what it's like to make those teeny tiny food pieces! 😂 I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to share the videos, too!

That's awesome!! And really cool that you do this. Sometimes people are afraid of "competition". 👍
What if we tagged other pages, but they didn't react about our business too? So seems like we just gave them some followers without benefits
I know this is an older video but you are so helpful to people who are just starting out and don't make things sound so confusing well done!
Thank you SO much Dermot!! ❤️

If you have linked the product in your post, most selling platforms will have tracking from where people are coming from.

Hi Mei, another helpful video of yours. Please can you explain what's 'a boosting post' vs an 'ad'? Thanks a lot.
It's the same thing!
Thank you for your response, but in another comment of this video, I read that boosting a post is like a "dead end" ad, though you recommend to invest at a Facebook ad.

Do you have videos on how to create an experience in your packaging and how to make the thank you cards etc
I do! ua-cam.com/video/Y5iDWkwFcd0/v-deo.html
Are there any videos on making great product descriptions?
I do! ua-cam.com/video/3QKnPuyw0RE/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/rAZutTswLwQ/v-deo.html

Ask a question instead of directly asking for engagement.
This has been so effective for me, time and time again!
Ehm... For me "frequently" is twice or thrice a week. Not trice a day 😅
That's totally okay as long as you're being consistent with your posting. You got this!! ❤️
Yes but where can i buy your jewelry online? I don't do FB.
I think your Facebook support group link has been hijacked. I went to check it out and it isn't what I expected.

What not to do? Make over 10K and be forced into an ad program you dont want to be a part of.
I have no words 😭
is this an etsy comment? lol

How time do you think it’s better to post
The best thing to do is test a few posts and look at the engagement you get. Look at your stats and insights for the post. See the times people are responding to it. Then test another one at what seems to be your best time and compare.
How do you bulk and or automate posting to your Facebook page?
You can use Facebook's post scheduler to plan out posts ahead of time, or you can use a social media planning app to help.
