A torch is definitely helpful to have in the garage.

That was a great video Jeff on tool and equipment maintenance, for someone who’s never done it or apprehensive it shows you the proper way step by step on how to service it. Very good tip too about servicing the oxygen regulator and not to use any type of chemicals in there to clean, the results can be very disastrous for sure! Unfortunately nowadays like you said, we live in a throw away society and it seems like it’s a lot easier or cheaper to just replace something using off shore parts than to spend a little time and repair an older quality made part which would last you a whole lot longer. Thanks for the video and hope you have an awesome weekend Jeff!

Thank you Raymond! It is so tough in today's society to not throw away a part and buy a new one! They make that too easy for you to do that now! I had such bad luck with these inferior, overseas replacements that I went back to forcing myself to repair the older, better built stuff instead of tossing it! After all, I am a garage channel now and it wouldn't set a good message or example to others and miss the mark on what the channel is about. It's also much cheaper to rebuild and you still retain the quality part. I also like that you learn everything about the internals of the equipment you work on. It's a win/win for me and hopefully, others see that it's not so intimidating and try to make these repairs themselves too. Thanks for watching Raymond and I hope you have a great week! Take care!

That’s exactly it, back in the day, we always fixed stuff, rebuilt starters and alternators, rebuilt brake components, things like that, glad that there’s still some of us around still that have the skills and don’t mind sharing them! That’s quite the snazzy shirt you had on too! Lol

Thanks Mike! I thought I had answered you on this one earlier! It sure is nice to repair something instead of tossing it out and buying a new one. Most of the stuff they make today, as you know, is all crap anyways so I am sure this is a project that you would have easily tackled yourself too! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great weekend!

Jeff, don't wash your clothes in the parts washer. Lol. Nice job on the rebuilds. I've been looking at Amazon more and more lately. Sometimes cheaper than Summit or Jegs for parts.

Thanks Dan! I almost had to use the parts washer when my real washer broke the other day! I just knew it wouldn't get me that fresh out of the dryer smell...hahaha! It is really hard to beat Amazon when they have good prices and such fast delivery times! I try to throw money at the companies in the hobby every chance I get while trying to support the good ones like Summit, Speedway and I have good luck with Rock Auto too. Sometimes the price and the convenience of needing the part quickly from Amazon outweighs the other choices. Thanks for watching and hope you guys are well! Take care!

Two very indispensable items to have if you work on your own cars for sure. Like that shirt at the end. 😊👍

That is for sure Gorni! I think I am going to take my buddy Tom's advice and learn to weld with the torch and welding rods. Some guys weld with coat hangars! My uncle welded this way his whole life! That is a Dixxon Flannel limited edition. They are a great company and I have a Speedway Motors Flannel and a Clay Smith Cams Flannel. The one in the video is their Red Green Show Flannel. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Yamayagi! Nope, I still have several months to go until I exit my tri-five years...hahaha! This shirt is a Red Green Show Dixxon Flannel Limited Edition. I got hooked on these flannels when "The Kid" got me my first limited edition collectable from Clay Smith Cams where he worked. I also picked up another limited Edition Dixxon Flannel from Speedway Motors and later, being a fan of The Red Green Show, I picked up their Limited Edition too. I hope to find a Mooneyes edition someday too. Great Shirts! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great week! Take care!
