    This randomly came up in my recommended. I am allergic to all nuts, and often get frustrated with recipes using nut butter, cashews, etc. This for me was an easy swap: I used sunflower butter. Let me tell you: the brownie batter baked oatmeal is TO DIE FOR. Oh my goodness. It tastes so decadent. Like dessert! Definitely making this a staple in my repertoire. Thank you :)

    I just made the brownie batter one! Made some substitutions according to what I had in the pantry- hazelnut/peanut butter, halved the amount of honey (instead of maple syrup), used a regular egg, omitted the vanilla. Reminds me of banana bread tbh. Yummy :-)

    I love these recipes. Just as info for anyone who is celiac: your pdf says gluten-free recipes. It is important to make sure that you buy oats that are labelled gluten-free. Oats are often grown in rotation with wheat or other grains on the same fields and therefore are not 100% gluten-free. I just wanted to add that :-)

    Just came across your channel. Would like to try the plant based route but in my opinion, it seems like it would cost more than the "normal" route. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. I'm trying to move my family away from the processed sugars, know that I'm pre-diabetic and want to naturally turn that around. I am intrigued by your baked oatmeal options/recipes, which I submitted for the PDF. Then I have your Plant Biased Cookbook in my cart on Amazon. Like I said, I really want to try this NEW way of eating, but I don't normally have tahnini, coconut sugars, etc... had to look up (was on your recipe pdf as well) what a flax egg was! Lol...it's like learning a new language. New sub here gonna start learning!!! Thank you again!!

      It’s so great to hear from you!! Yes, a plant based diet was super intimidating to me at first but it gets easier until it’s second nature! And eating a plant based diet can be as cheap or expensive as you want. Some of the cheapest foods are vegan (rice, beans, tofu, veggies). But you can also spend a lot if you buy specialty items. But you don’t need to! Thank you for your support! I hope my book is helpful as you get started!

      I do that all the time, but I’ve never done that with these specific recipes. You could try it though! You may need more liquid though…

    HEY!! Love your recipes!!! I just wanted to ask you.. Is it okay if i don't use flax eggs?

    • @TheConscientiousEater
      @TheConscientiousEater  3 роки тому

      I'm so glad to hear that, thank you! And if you eat eggs, you could use a normal chicken egg. Or you could try adding in extra mashed banana or some applesauce depending on which flavor you're wanting to try. OR you could try just omitting it and adding in a little extra milk if needed...but I haven't tried that. Let us know if they turn out without the flax eggs!

      I've made baked oatmeal before with a vegan recipe (not this one) and replaced the vegan ingredients. Used regular eggs and milk and butter and it turned out great!

      Yes! Regular milk and eggs work fine in these recipes.

    Do you think I can replace the cocoa powder in the brownie one with cacao powder 🤔

    I love oatmeal so I had to try this recipe! They came out pretty nice but not as crunchy as I thought, more squishy is that normal or did I do something wrong? should I keep them longer in the oven?

      Baked oats definitely aren’t crunchy and they are more moist/squishy than muffins so maybe it’s just not your thing! You could try to keep it in the oven a little longer to dry it out more!

      You could try making them thinner if you want a crunch
