Emmanuel Goldstein, Insurance is a big deal. You can be easily sued for shooting someone who was causing or attempting to cause harm to you. Basically they cover your ass in the event of a situation like this. There's usually different tiers of coverage, pay more and you get more. If you don't carry, then you don't need the insurance.

that depends on what state your in. Most states now have laws that protect you from thugs and there families if you shot someone while they are commiting a crime. most states call it castle doctrine. look it up

Being a limey 🇬🇧 I probably have no business commenting here, but this was was a good call by a good man. I’m occasionally asked “If you were an American, would you own a gun?“ My answer is invariably “No. I would not own a gun. I would own about ten, and carry one all the time if their brothers and sisters were not in easy reach.” Here in Britain, injuries and fatalities involving firearms are few and far between, and almost invariably between gangbangers, and as far as I’m concerned, they can carry on. But if you are so much as caught in possession of a firearm, it’s a mandatory five year stretch. God bless America and God save Britain 🇺🇸🇬🇧

I'm a Black Amerika Democratic Socialist.Guns are for weak cowards that are afraid to take an ass whipping like a real man. Don't be rude and you avoid problems. If you own a business in a high crime area, you should hire security, and or get insurance, they want the money ,not your life.Pulling a gun only forces robbers to take your life.
Yes the vast majority of you right wingers are racist, as your own delusional comment proves. Republicans and Democrats are equally corrupt, your entire two party Amerikkkan system is corrupt. I support the Green party, except for their views on open borders. I am a Democratic Nationalist Socialist. Socialism is the only way to bring about true equal opportunity. Socialism is the only way to greatly reduce White Greed.
Every citizen should be paid a livable wage, if they have a job. Poverty is what breeds crimes. If wages were fair, gun crime would be greatly reduced. You bigots,.racist, and Atheist are blind of the solution to robberies, and other gun related crime. We need a Socialist Nationalist 4th party. The Green party comes close except for their open borders for immigration ideology, and their acceptance of same sex marriage.
The smarter White people of Sweden, and Finland pay their citizens are truly livable minimum wage, and crime and poverty is extremely low there. They earn about $22 per hour working at McDonalds. With all the tax money the Amerikkkan government spends,it is more than doable in the Divided States of Amerikkka to pay a $15 minimum wage, not even $22 per hour, but White Greed frowns at Blacks not being in poverty anymore.

Keepskatin I’m Hawaiian. Voted democrat many times. Voted for obama twice. And when it comes to guns here’s a fact.. feel free to research and try debunk..
A CDC study ordered by Obama in 2013 shows Guns are used for self-defense often and effectively. “Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year. Guns have protected victims from attack more than the number of people killed by guns. Even at the lowest number of victims protecting themselves at 500,000, dwarfs the homicide by guns at 11,208 that year.Way more lives are saved by guns than are taken..you can feel free to look that up and try call BS you’ll only be proven wrong

    • @Keepskatin
      @Keepskatin 6 років тому

@The Real Softcore Gun Nut Your Obama study is misunderstood, that is also a lacking,1 year study. One year only and heavily flawed. Your lies won't work here, and yes I always verify any info anyone ,especially what a non Black tries to provide to me. Here is the truth about that so called study you refer to gun nut.
The study (available as a PDF) calls the defensive use of guns by crime victims "a common occurrence, although the exact number remains disputed." While it might be as high as 3 million defensive uses of guns each year, some scholars point to the much lower estimate of 108,000 times a year.
A total of 34 states have laws that allow qualified adults to carry concealed handguns. Right-to-carry laws are not without controversy: some people believe that they deter crimes against individuals; others argue that they have no such effect or that they may even increase the level of firearms violence. This public debate has stimulated the production of a large body of statistical evidence on whether right-to-carry laws reduce or increase crimes against individuals.
      www.nap.edu/read/10881/chapter/2#7
However, although all of the studies use the same basic conceptual model and data, the empirical findings are contradictory and in the committee’s view highly fragile. Some studies find that right-to-carry laws reduce violent crime, others find that the effects are negligible, and still others find that such laws increase violent crime.
That 500000 to 3 million annual gun use is highly inflated, and contradicts other research numbers involving gun related death and injury.
      In 2013, there were 73,505 nonfatal firearm injuries (23.2 injuries per 100,000 U.S. citizens),[2][3] and 33,636
      www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/01/16/the-study-that-gun-rights-activists-keep-citing-but-completely-misunderstand/?noredirect=on&.e8c9b6c15d7e

Keepskatin so not listening to anyone who isn’t black is ignorant. Second so even at a low 108,000 number that still dwarfs the 11,000 homicide that year. And the 15,000 last year homicide rate. I could care less about the suicide rate with guns to inflate the number to 30,000. Because suicidal people are still gonna find a way to kill themselves. The fact is people defend themselves from people with guns. Just like the story you hear here. And you can look up countless videos of others. I do think only responsible people should own guns. Banning guns is a no no.

I a a former Law Enforcement Officer, a former Marine and a licensed Concealed Weapons holder. I have trained in the use of weapons and tactics for over 14 yrs. In my LEO career, I thankfully never had to use my firearm, I always carried FOP protection. Now that I am a civilian I hope people who are law abiding citizens will look into getting USCCA. Its the aftermath of being involved in a deadly force scenario (which no one wants) and the legal process if your involved in a self defense shooting. I think its fool hardy if you don't have some sort of protection ....I am glad that "David" was able to protect the people of the barbershop and his family members. I train and practice but if and when something happens, I hope to be ready as I hope others will do also.

Whenever someone asks me why I carry, I can usually bring out a copy of one or two publications that have stories demonstrating everyday folks defending themselves as cited by local television or print media. I appreciate this video. It's really sad that we need to plan for defending ourselves in this world, but I'm glad organizations like the USCCA exist to help defend us after we've defended ourselves. There are so many examples of people being sued by criminals and/or their families after someone had defended themselves. I think everyone that carries a gun needs this type of insurance just as much as a doctor needs malpractice insurance.

Great video. It really gets you thinking about how precious life is. One thing I can say after watching this is video is that I will never leave my house without out my firearm again. I always tell new CCW holders it is imperative that they become a USCCA member. I personally became a member before I received my CCW, because I wanted to be prepared from day one. Like David said, if you are a CCW holder and don't have USCCA insurance you are playing Russian roulette.

The last mistake too many people make is assuming that just because you haven't needed something, you won't ever need it. You carry tools, jumper cables, medical kit, etc... in your vehicle in case of emergency. You have fire extinguishers in your home and place of work in case of a fire. A firearm is the same thing. It's a tool for situations that you may have never experienced, and hopefully never have to experience, but something you may experience and you will regret not having one when it happens. "Have it and not need it rather than need it not have it." sums up that situation perfectly. David, you are a hero. Much respect to you.
