You damn right. There's this very odd idea among several OutKunts that Stankonia is not, as you put it, "ambitious, cutting-edge, strange", that's it's a mere mainstream and conformist pick. It's almost like arguing that Trout Mask Replica can't possibly be excitingly weird simply because it's the mainstream's pick for Captain Beefheart's best album. ATLiens and Stankonia are definitely my favourites.
Thank you. Stan Konica has a couple of their most popular hits but the album as a whole is experimental and weird as hell. I’ve always loved how creative it is and never understood why it was their “sellout” album. Anybody who thinks that hasn’t listened to the album
Stankonia takes more risk, shows more versatility, and has no tracks to skip. Aquemini had Mamacita. Maybe Aquemini has higher highs, Da Art of Storytellin' Part I being one of my favorite songs of all time, but Stankonia is just more consistently great.
Aquemini has just as much versatility. SpottieOttie vs Chonkyfire. Or Rosa Parks vs Liberation. And Stankonia definitely has some skippable tracks. We Love These Hoes, Snappin' and Trappin', I'll Call before I Come, and Gangsta Shit are not bad, but I rarely find myself repeatedly listening to them. And Aquemini just flows much better as an album, not just a collection of songs. It's grande, it's epic, and it's thematic all the way through.@@AHHHHHH03
coolguitarchannel I agree, Aquemini is the one, every artist has that period of time where they’re in a zone. Aquemini was that time in OutKast discography in my opinion
Fantano two years ago: "Siri, what is the best OutKast album." Siri: "It is Stankonia." Fantano: "...Ehhhhhhhh... Yeah, if, like, you're a mainstreamer."
Aquemini is one of my favorite albums ever, but Aquemini, ATL, and Stank are all classic hip hop albums and can all be interchanged in the top 3 and I wouldn't be upset. All three are some of the best albums the genre has to offer
Mine would be 6. Idlewood 5. Speakerboxx 4. stankonia 3. Southernplayalistic 2. Aquemini(damn close to first) 1.ATLiens my dad had an ATLiens and aquemini CD in his car and everyone time I hear the smooth and deep bass on some of those tracks like da art of storytellin’ or wheelz of steel or two dope boyz it just gives me instant nostalgia. Not to discredit the other albums but when I hear speakerboxx or stankonia I just don’t get that feeling. But that’s just my opinion of course
Exactly! Stankonia did not hit me as hard as their first 3 albums did the first time I heard them. It Just didn’t. It didn’t have that classic feeling. It’s also the first album they started trying to get away from Organized Noize, which shaped their whole sound in the first place. This guy’s entitled to his own opinion but I’d bet he wasn’t listening to them in the beginning.
Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is one of the greatest projects ever released. The Love Below on it's own shook up the industry, expanded mindsets/genre, and birthed so many artists.

ATLiens is my favorite outkast album. Mostly because it’s such a cool concept, I really don’t hear much rap that sounds like that. Then or now. It reminds me so much of my childhood. Good Shit™️
I think SB/TLB was a bit underrated. Sure it's a dense monster of a double album but it's still super consistent and a amazing piece of work to me and a lot more experimental and interesting to me. I think that's what puts it over southernplayaliticadillacmuzik.
Anyone that listens to OutKast beyond their main hits has my eternal respect, regardless of their album preference. In my opinion one of the greatest of all time, and so underappreciated in this era where the general population only care about Hey Ya, so much more to offer

5. Southerplayalistic
6. Idlewild
Switch 4 & 5 and this is correct.
Idk, personally I kind of wish more duo artists made albums like Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. I think it’s always nice to let each member get a chance to show off their style and strengths, and even if it isn’t the most cohesive album in the world, I think both albums are good enough to stand on their own feet, and given the the love below is the closest we will ever get to that Andre solo album it’s pretty dear to me.
I still remember downloading Bombs Over Baghdad on Napster. Took all day. Blew my goddamn mind when I heard it. Played it over and over and over. The ending of that song is phenomenal

Yep. It's amazing how wrong he got it really.
Was it intentional, that you left out Idlewild? haha
Love the list. Ours is mostly the same except I had Stankonia and Southernplayalisticadillacfunkymuzik switched.
The Beatles dammit do the Beatles they are literally the best candidates for a worst to best ever
stillaliveplus1forme Their discography would mean a longggggg video.
@@Adamassmilk and a damn good 1 at that. And he'd better put the past masters in there aswell!!!! Hey Jude, Revolution, I feel fine, we can work it out, daytripper, don't let me down and the rest need to also be recognized!!!
Not really, all Beatles albums are pretty revered. Artists that are varied make for better content
W C I think Kanye is actually the best artist for a worst to best in this sense; most of his albums are distinct in style and where people rank each one differs greatly
W C Every Beatles album is revered? Have you listened to Yellow Submarine?
Still need the following:
Kendrick Lamar: Worst to Best
The Beatles: Worst to Best
Michael Jackson: Worst to Best
Pink Floyd: Worst to Best
Death Grips: Worst to Best
Kendrick ain't done yet nigga
Yeah - he’d only really want to do discographies that are finished. Otherwise you end up in a situation where it’s out of date in a couple of years.
He doesn't only do discography that are finished 😂. Are Bjork finished? Or Radiohead?
Mikkel Lindeberg sorry, I should have added that he has said he is more interested now in doing more static discographies, seeing as the Kanye one is now pretty out of date.
Chris Cusack He’s literally reviewed all of Death Grips albums, so rank the scores. He’s also ranked all expect one for Kendrick Lamar, his debut is his worst anyway.
Melon, PLEASE give us the Pink Floyd Worst To Best next.
ATLiens is their absolute best for me. Would have never imagined finding its mint promo LP in a record shop in Zürich for 2 swiss francs. Damn album is a whole ass experience. Wheels of steel still gives me goosebumps.

I love stankonia but I'd say its 3rd in my list. I always felt like the last couple songs were kinda weak
Thank you. Stan Konica has a couple of their most popular hits but the album as a whole is experimental and weird as hell. I’ve always loved how creative it is and never understood why it was their “sellout” album. Anybody who thinks that hasn’t listened to the album
You say that Big Boi doesn't appear on The Love Below but doesn't he have a verse on "Roses"???
DAVID BOWIE WORST TO BEST
That's 25 albums to rank
I fail to see an issue
@@bzradiohead18 Yea, it's not like he's ranking Buckethead.
Aquemini is their masterpiece! ATLiens is close but not quite as good. Stankonia is good but not as flowing and cinematic as Aquemini.
Stankonia takes more risk, shows more versatility, and has no tracks to skip. Aquemini had Mamacita. Maybe Aquemini has higher highs, Da Art of Storytellin' Part I being one of my favorite songs of all time, but Stankonia is just more consistently great.
But his verse on mamacita made the song
I agree Aquemini IS their masterpiece.

Fantano two years ago: "Siri, what is the best OutKast album."
Siri: "It is Stankonia."
Fantano: "...Ehhhhhhhh...
Idlewood
5. Speakerboxx
4. stankonia
3. Southernplayalistic
2. Aquemini(damn close to first) 1.ATLiens
my dad had an ATLiens and aquemini CD in his car and everyone time I hear the smooth and deep bass on some of those tracks like da art of storytellin’ or wheelz of steel or two dope boyz it just gives me instant nostalgia.
I thought I was going to have to make a list but I found the correct listing. Thank you kindly. Your description is spot on, by the way
You’re insane for putting southernplayalistic at 5
Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is one of the greatest projects ever released. The Love Below on it's own shook up the industry, expanded mindsets/genre, and birthed so many artists.
Young Thug Worst to Jeffery?
LZRD. Why would he leave out Barter 6?
1.Atliens
2.Stankonia
3.Aquemini
4.Speakerbox/Love Below
5.Scpmuzik
6.Idlewild
My exact ranking
big boi is criminally underrated because he was alongside andré 3000, like andre is the greatest of all time but big boi is like top 20 - top 25 rappers of all time
its honestly disgraceful that Big Boi hardly gets mentioned amongst the greats of the hiphop genre. He is easily one of the best rappers alive
A worst to best on Pink Floyd??
fahlén. please
I think that list wouldnt really contain any surprises 🤔
@@AsirIset I think melon has quite the interesting opinion on PF, he often mentioned how he thinks DSOTM is overrated and that he loves Animals. He seems to have some interesting opinions on them too, i'd love such a Worst To Best.

“Stankinonia, eh, if your a mainstreamer.”

Dallas Reedy that’s what I thought
Worst to Best: The Roots
“Undun” one of the greatest albums of all time. Def in my Top 5
ATliens really is one of the best and most consistent albums ever made. It's their best for sure imo
ATLiens is my favorite outkast album. Mostly because it’s such a cool concept, I really don’t hear much rap that sounds like that. Then or now. It reminds me so much of my childhood. Good Shit™️
Also Big Boi is on Roses on the Love Below... so not left off it completely
Even though I prefer Aquemini, I agree with him about Stankonia. However I would put southernplayalistic over SB/TLB personally.
This needs more bumps. Southernplaylistic is much more consistent.
I think SB/TLB was a bit underrated. Sure it's a dense monster of a double album but it's still super consistent and a amazing piece of work to me and a lot more experimental and interesting to me. I think that's what puts it over southernplayaliticadillacmuzik.
Stankonia is one of the best albums in american music period. Regardless of genre.
Anyone that listens to OutKast beyond their main hits has my eternal respect, regardless of their album preference. In my opinion one of the greatest of all time, and so underappreciated in this era where the general population only care about Hey Ya, so much more to offer
By the way, Da Art Of Storytellin' Part 1 is the best song of all time

Speakerboxx/Love Below 7/10
