    • @fit2function528
      @fit2function528  Рік тому +1

      @@MusicLover-dv8fn generally it is because the stomach muscles are deconditioned and you have to condition them to do their job instead of your back doing it alone. Which can take time, but you just have to be intentional about keeping you core working. It might just be one minute at a time that you can keep your stomach engaged. But the more you keep at it that minute will turn into 2, into 3, ect until your stomach is reconditioned to do its job

    Is it normal that i find breathing more difficult when doing this?

    • @fit2function528
      @fit2function528  7 років тому +42

      It will be slightly difficult if you feel that most of the tension from engaging your core is in your upper stomach muscles. When we breath, our diaphragm is supposed to pull our lungs down towards our upper abdominals, which is hard to do when those muscles are contracted. What you want to do now that you understand how to engage your core, is try to only engage your lower stomach muscles. This will cause your core to engage without the extra tension in your upper stomach muscles and allow you to breath easier while allowing your core to do its job. I will be posting an instructional video soon on how this is done.

    • @fit2function528

      Sitting on an exercise ball is the fastest way to gain the strength and endurance to engage your core while sitting. But if you don't have a ball if you sit at the edge of a chair with good posture it will cause your core to engage the same as sitting on a ball. And if you really want to challenge yourself put your feet together in front of you and lift your toes off the floor and balance on your heels. And if that is still to easy cross one foot over the other. These can be done sittting on a ball or the edge of a chair.
