    I became a Glock fan in 1986 I picked up 14 a contract job I was about to get I wanted something carrying more ammo and it felt right in my hands. I later bought a Glock 26 Gen 5 and then found a Gen 4 Glock 30 in 45 caliber. I'm very happy with mine .

    Glock 40 MOS Gen 4 10mm owner here. Love this gun. With 150gr JHP Underwood ammo it is an absolute man stopper. Or, if hunting, you have options with Buffalo Bore that will put down a grizzly bear. I love it, but isn't the gun for everyone. It is a BIG gun and even at 6'3" 250 I have to open carry with this sucker to be comfortable...which isn't a bad thing since I live super rural. If I have to go concealed, I run my Sig P365XL. Anyways....after getting my hands on some 10mm fun I absolutely love the cartridge and feel it is well balanced for many purposes depending on the ammo you buy. If you want one, get it while you can - the G40 at this time is not being brought into the gen 5 lineup.

    Sad to see that the .357sig is virtually going away. When we T&E'd the 32 against the midsize M&P, everyone was highly impressed with the 32. One would have thought that with the 32 being lighter and less beefy, the M&P would have come out ahead, but it didn't. The 32 was about as comfortable to shoot as the 19 and far more comfortable than the 23. What kept us from going with the 32 was, at the time, the price of ammo was absurd. Also, with the M&P, we could take the midsize, use a full mag and added the sleeve that was designed to be a seamless extension of the grip. Glock wasn't able to do that and any aftermarket sleeve did not stand up to what the M&P was able to do.

    I daily carry a Glock 43x but if it’s not just about concealment then it’s a 19x or a 45. 9mm is the superior round in my book. I don’t want to have to buy multiple rounds to go target shooting. All my guns eat the same rounds and that makes it easy. Plus in personal defense I don’t want a round going through and through and traveling on to possibly hit someone behind my target. Train with your weapon so your shots count and a 9mm is more than enough. Thats my two cents so take it for what it’s worth.

  • @josh885
    @josh885 Місяць тому

    All of the 19 slide, 17 grip glocks are point less. Instead by a 19, a few 17 mags, and some Xgrips to go on them and you have the same thing. But can go back to a 19 size gun if you want/need too. Basically if you buy a 19 you are getting a 45 as well. So you are basically getting two guns for the price of one. Same for the 43 and 43X unless you want the MOS version.

    I’ have a well tuned athletic build. The 19x is basically a Glock 45 without front slide serrations and has an amazing useless lanyard attachment. After buying several holsters, it’s the most uncomfortable and annoying firearm to conceal carry. Especially if you have a physical job. In my opinion if you want comfort which is the most important aspect of conceal carry, get the 43x. Not the 43x mos. Because then you might as well get the Glock 19 which is also not comfortable. If you worried about the 10 rd capacity of the 43x then carry an extra mag which is also small enough to slip inside a pocket. I’m not a fan of the shield arms 15 rd mag because it has known to malfunction on the odd occasion.

      @@HWG-wm8ld ok bright spark. Don’t forget to attach your lanyard when dive into the swimming pool If you climbing up scaffolding and ladders with the 19/19x your clothes are going to get torn. If you sitting at a desk, you will have to remove your firearm within a short period of time. It’s too big and uncomfortable. The 19x is fine for open carry. Unfortunately that’s not allowed where I live.

      History: In 1993 Aberdeen Proving Ground was awarded a contract to test all available .40 S&W pistols available for adoption as the USBP Service Pistol. One of the tests was a 10,000 round reliability / durability test where three pistols of each submitted make / model were required to have less than 17 malfunctions average to pass. None passed, but the only submission that catastrophically failed was the Glock 22's and the Glock 23's. Each submission failed between 6,000 and 8,000 rounds. Glock corrected that problem by adding a locking block pin, but never resubmitted for subsequent service pistol competition.
      Question: If Glock added the locking block pin to prevent catastrophic malfunctions, why then did they drop that pin on the Gen 5's?

    The 43x is currently the most popular concealed carry pistol in the world. It outsells everything. That aside, I would argue the Hellcat Pro is a far superior pistol out of the box. I will ask the group, what other pistol is as reliable out of the box with steel 15-round magazines, steel combat sights, aggressive stippling/grip texture, optics cut, and a true accessory rail (not proprietary)? The 43x falls well short of this whole package. Sig does too.

      @@HWG-wm8ld I agree the Prodigy was initially a big fail for Springfield. I don’t agree that the whole line went to crap though. The XD’s are extremely reliable, solid pistols. But I was specifically referring to the Hellcat Pro. I am not aware of any reliability issues with it. It is accurate, comfortable to shoot, and the only one in that category that checks all the boxes.

    This finger groove thing is a fad. To groove or not to groove. Glocks typically have the least ergonomic grips on the market. These guns need additional grip support and finger grooves do that. I have older generation models with the grooves. These guns are extremely accurate and easy to shoot mainly because of the better purchase that grooves provode. I've really wanted to purchase a gen 5 variant but feel the grip is just blank for the lack of a more formal description.

    THEY HAVENT BEEN BEAT. EVERYONE STOLE FROM THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE SO DEPENDABLE. THEY TOOK 100 GLOCKS AND TORE EVERYONE OF THEM APART. MIXED THEM ALL TOGETHER AND SPREAD THEM ACROSS THE FLOOR.
    THEN THEY PUT ONE BACK TOGETHER FROM TGE SCATTERED PARTS . IT FIRED FLAWLESSLY.
    TRY THAT WITH ANY OTHER MARKETABLE PISTOL. SEE IF THE PARTS ARE THE EXACT SAME AND FIRE WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE.

      Could do that with almost any modern pistol these days 😂 glock hasn't been the only super reliable pistol in a long time.

    I have my Glock model 45 tattooed on my back. So yes, I’m a super Glock fan. I also have the enhanced Glock trigger in it. Perfect
