I like fixed blades but they see a lot less use than the folders these days. That one is simple elegance ! A time proven blade shape, the epitome of a straight knife. Very practical.

Beautiful knife! I'd argue with the fact that it has a tanto-like design. It actually looks like a puukko knife.

Yes, certainly some crossover between a traditional tanto and a puukko. Ryu can mean dragon, prosperous, or noble in Japanese. Ken Vehikite styled this one after a traditional tanto....

The other design is the Monkey Thumper.
I'll take a traditional tanto anyday over an Americanized tanto.

I have a question, is the blade hollow or flat?
In the clip, you said the grinding is hollow, but I saw it on the website of an agent and it said it's flat. I looked at the photos and watched your clip, but I don't see the same as hollow grinding.

It's listed on several knife sale sites as hollow grind. And just taking it out now I can definitely feel a hollow grind but not too pronounced.
