I like fixed blades but they see a lot less use than the folders these days. That one is simple elegance ! A time proven blade shape, the epitome of a straight knife. Very practical.
Yes, certainly some crossover between a traditional tanto and a puukko. Ryu can mean dragon, prosperous, or noble in Japanese. Ken Vehikite styled this one after a traditional tanto....
The review is great. I have a question, is the blade hollow or flat? In the clip, you said the grinding is hollow, but I saw it on the website of an agent and it said it's flat. I looked at the photos and watched your clip, but I don't see the same as hollow grinding. Thanks for sharing.
The Italians know how to make fine knives! I love Fox knives and own quite a few and I just purchased this yesterday!
Sweet! Thanks for watching. 👍🗡️👍
A great looking knife. I love the straight forward design a knife being a knife. Great review 👍
Killer wicked! Fixed blades are my favorite edc blades&tanto my favorite shape&always love seein new stuff.
Thanks! It's a really sweet blade! 👍🗡️👍

great review!
Thanks for watching! 👍🗡️
Beautiful knife! I'd argue with the fact that it has a tanto-like design. It actually looks like a puukko knife.

It's listed on several knife sale sites as hollow grind. And just taking it out now I can definitely feel a hollow grind but not too pronounced.
@@OGBladeReviews thank you !
Is the knife sturdy enough to do some outdoor tasks?
Nice review btw!
Absolutely! Very robust. 👍🗡️👊
@@OGBladeReviews thanks for the quick reply ;) sadly the micarta version seems to be out of stock everywhere in Europe.
Greetings from Belgium
Yes I do see that Lamnia has the blacked out version for $150 US
The other design is the Monkey Thumper.
I'll take a traditional tanto anyday over an Americanized tanto.
And I have the monkey thumper as well... 🗡️👍
100% cold steel outdoorsman lite has perfect shape
Nice 👍👍👍👍👍
Are the handle scales removable?
Yes! 🗡️👍
@@OGBladeReviews great! I love this blade design but thinking I may dye the micarta a deep blue or purple.
Nice, but for me it maintains its tactical/military look as is... 👍🔥🗡️
@@erikangus What is the best method to dye micarta? I would like to dye the micarta handles on an ESEE 6 knife blue myself. Any recommendations?
FYI Ryu translates to Dragon
Yes, thanks. Spent some time on Okinawa. 👍
