I know I'm asking too much for these times but ...knife companies use to contour all of their knife handles, no matter what they sold for...but to speed up manufacturing and to cut down on costs, they all seem to go with the thin, flat, slab sided scales. And we've been duped/tricked into going along with it. So...nice knife, beautiful blade...but.

I've got the Damasteel version of the chimera... such a stunner. despite all the good looks I absolutely hate the lockbar design. No thumb choil just a sharp, brutal edge. combine that with the slightest lock stick and you got yourself a very unpleasant 2 handed knife whne you try to fold it.

Seeing this and realising that it’s completely useless for me for right handed carry gives me an insight to how lefties must feel about most knives.

This could've been a nice knife but mine has terrible lock stick. I'll be returning it.

This knife runs on washers. Big washers if you're used to Spyderco knives. I was surprised at the size when I took mine apart this afternoon (07/11/2024).

Mine cannot be drop-shut without play in the blade. If your knife develops lock rock, try tightening the screws on the handle. Mine were a bit loose on the back end of the partial liners. I need to snap-close mine but with not too much effort. Really love my 551 Griptilian and my Redoubt.

Really clean good looking profile, but that clip is fuuuugly. It's like they thought "hey, let's make a pocket clip look like a dirty faded 1970s power tie.. but even uglier.."
