  • Freeing Yourself From All Limitation. The mind is made up of limitation. This is necessary in order to know the difference between density and non density--a necessary skill in order to navigate the realms of physicality, but when is the realm of limitation working against you? After all, aren't all of nature's rules presenting themselves to you in any given moment. Physical limitations will be there for you in any moment without you having to hang onto any thoughts about them, right? In this video, Jason speaks about discarding the limitations of identification with an accomplished ego, or an unaccomplished one, so that a spiritual seeker can continue to mine the jewels of wisdom and creativity that burst forth as a side effect. Even positive identification with accomplishment can keep one trapped in the obligation of further accomplishment, but what if the universe has other plans for you? Plans far more exciting and new. This requires deeper surrender and detachment so the divine can burst forth in whatever form it wishes from inside you.

    Game changer for me from 5:50 to 6:30: "But what if just the movement itself of who you are is success? What if that is the highest level of success? And that's what I'm here to tell you it is. It is the highest level of success because when you move and you are yourself that has a magical incantation in it. There’s a spiritual energy that starts to get active. We call it the shakti, we call it the self, we call it the internal stillness, we call it love. That movement starts to happen and that movement heals the world more than you can imagine. And sometimes it takes about 2, 3, 4, or 10 years before you actually see the side effect but it always happens. Always happens. It’s just that your mind can’t see how amazing the effect is on the people around you.”
    Thank you Jason and of course a huge thank you to Arathi Ma.

    Your videos have brought me towards taking a class on Asian religions at my college, and everything has come full circle as I recognize the terms and concepts you use more and more. Thankyou Jason for being the "middleman" that can explain these perspectives in a digestible way. I've been watching your videos for many months now, and I won't stop anytime soon :)

    I understand the importance of living beyond the mind, can you explain the role that we can allow our minds to play in our lives? Because obviously we need our minds to function, but when, how much is my question. When am I using too much of my mind, and when am I not using enough?

    Limits can be a good thing at times. For example, just because I'm attracted to men doesn't mean I should actually act on such an impulse and, in the process, put myself at higher std risk. In fact, encountering such a limit forces me to focus on and learn about alternative means of experiencing love. If it weren't for such limits, I'd have never mastered the art of non romantic love. Limits can be good....

      +Stephen Marcus I'm not speaking about "doing." I'm speaking about identification with limitation. Thinking you are your thoughts, desires, fears--the limitations of the ego. This is a way of understanding how to find your true self.

    • @stephenmarcus9601
      @stephenmarcus9601 8 років тому

      I have a BAD habit of defining myself via limitation. For example, I took two years off before starting college. As a result, I was older and used they age thing as an excuse not to socialize, we write for the school newspaper and so on.
      I've on one level or another continued on with this sort of thinking. Now, at close to 40, I feel too old for almost everything.
      I realize it's an excuse, a shield by which to protect myself. I know it isn't productive for one to degine himself by shortcomings but it's all I really know. Even my role models spoke in these terms.
      My point being, I get your point regarfing limits.

    Here recently I been trying to move out of 1 limitation and trying to reach out to people more. And so I went to the 2nd meetup group I ever been to - the 1st was some years ago. Well this was a meditation meetup with 4 other people there. And during the intermission part I started to make this comment and this lady touches my arm and goes "You need to be quiet." So toward the end of the meeting I brought it up to the group what she said as it really upset me. I'm still kind of fuming over it.

    • @JasonJGallant
      @JasonJGallant  8 років тому

      +akanksha singh it's not supposed to. Therefore you will search inward for happiness instead of externally. At some point you can be so strong as any external circumstance cannot affect your internal reality. At that point, THEN things will have an easier time working out because you just do what is necessary in your life to get things done without the emotional NEED for it to work out. LIfe becomes a natural flow of wisdom.
