Hehe, it's funny I agree but I have to say it's funny that the student should be open, but the master is the only one open. I'm saying, Sadhguru talked about the resistance, it is mostly happening in your family and people you know. But it is in you, every of us should open to it and truly experiencing the bundle of resistance. Then maybe we can say " open" and real man.
When Sadhguru went into the Details of Japa-Tapa-Dharana-Dhyana-Samadhi.. I was like shivering & having goosebumps all over my body.. I mean how does he knows Everything.. I have heard these terms since my childhood but nobody could explain me what is the difference between them!!! Very lucky to have Sadhguru 🙏😍😭
What i understand from all the talks of Sadhguru is this, he is always telling the people he is talking to is that they are doing up till now is good if it is adding the welfare of the world. But he has some tools that he wants to share the people he is talking to to make this world more wonderful for each and every being. Sadguru is always positive with his guest he in talk with, whether it is a scientist or normal audience like us. He only wants to the other person to understand that there is a way of living to our best and he has experienced it and want everyone to experience it so we can be our best version. I just respect him so much for always putting so much effort with everyone he is in conversation with, whether he has to face critisism and has to repeat everything again and again to make himself clear so that we all can just simply accept and thrive to do things which can help us not even him, but us to live a better life. I mean.. wow!

Just wow. This conversation was so enlightening, especially from 1:16:49 with the question posed by Bala, "what determines how much life we capture?" This question parallels much of the information that Sadhguru speaks about in his new book, "Death", but this discussion really adds more meat to the bones to fully understand what it means to live a full-fledged life as Sadhguru so often says. We gather more life by simply being open to life; to experiencing the full spectrum of life; to tasting all the flavors that are here. In order to do this we must set aside likes/dislikes and learn to respond consciously instead of react unconsciously. This in turn, expands the karmic bubble and allows us to grow larger and larger until the inevitable 'pop' of transformation. Although our world is going through immense change at the moment, we are all profoundly blessed to be living at a time when such a powerful Master is embodied to not only teach but experientially light our way through our darkness. What a beautiful and profound dialogue between a scientist and a mystic. Thank you so much for organizing this talk and I hope to see plenty more.

The beauty of a baby child is that he can be amazed by all that he hears, that's possible because it's his first time of hearing anything. If we are able to do it consciously, all the material that we've heard in this video will leave us super amazed.
Great discussion. To all the judgemental commenters, please refrain from judging or condemning the speaker showing different perception or level of understanding. If it evokes your negative judgement it shows your non-acceptance (in a sense contrary to mindfulness). Keep learning and growing on your path to spirituality🙏
I am from India. I can say Steven representing our entire free world vs. Alien Sadguru 😂 I never experienced these point of view in my entire life. One tricky thing is I just can’t deny any of the words Sadguru is saying and I also feel my 6th sense is accepting what Sadguru is saying. World is not just ready yet 🙏
@@madhukiranattivilli2321 First of all the way you perceive that statement in the generic sense will raise lots of issues for limited (Too identified) unexposed (To the spiritual process) intellectual humans. The way he meant it was that as a consequence of being part of the yogic process he is now able to access further dimensions of memory that is mentioned in the yogic sciences just as he explained in the video. Also just because an expert does something doesn't mean you can (but you can understand where he is coming from.) That is why @Pratap D said he can't deny the words of Sadhguru.
I am really thankful to Sadhguru to bring out the real essence and meaning of Sanatana dharma. Where spirituality and science were one. Thank you Sadhguru 🙏😇
As always listening to Sadhguru's discussion is mesmerizing, but I would also love to hear more input from Steven Laureys about science and his experiences on the brain and consciousness.
I think he said he is struggling and Sadhguru advised him to use best machine we all have that is our body unsullied by memory. Modern science still has a long way to go or never reach there.
Isn’t it amazing how fresh he looks even after talking for 1 & half hours continuously,??? That’s proof enough that what he teaches us all everyday has great substance. Science cannot explain a huge number of things in life yet.
So many titles and a dramatic introduction for Steven. And Sadhguru with no fancy titles answering to Steven questions. How complex we made ourselves when something stars above us are so simple. Thank you both for the lessons.
I think he should remember Paramahansa Yogananda was the start of the true great teacher of Kriya.Yet he never mention his work.teachong Westerners in the 20's amout Self Relization. You are teaching the same path.
Sathguru, I have followed you for many years and believe that you are an extraordinary person with very clear views, and I am very impressed how you discusse with highly educated people who defend their points of view poorly by discussing with you. Congratulation.
From the first time i listen to Sadguru i continued then in my mimdi knew he is a part of Lord Shiva because any question you ask him he answer it i think he is a great manand there is no other one like him
Not confused. just grappling with new concepts, alien to him. Some introspection will clear the way for him. I like his attitude. He is curious and at the same time humble, ready for learning new concepts or perspectives. He is an intelligent man.
It’s very difficult for westerners to grasp these concepts because for years they have been trained to identify only with the material and physical. For them everything is about mathematical proof. But how do you prove or express in numbers subtle aspect like fondness, love, compassion, feelings, etc. These things by nature are subjective. The only thing that is closest to consciousness is quantum physics, mainly because it proves that the nature of reality is uncertain and unpredictable.
Yah, language is the barrier and knowledge data of it expressed as per their belief. We r to learn from both. Pls, gather the knowledge for ur intelligence. Not barrier of comparing, u miss the information. This discussion is very valuable lesson. 😉
What a lively conversation!!! Sadhguru, your thoughts are simply enlightening! Your insights and clear explanations on the mind (Buddhi, Ahankara, manas, and chit) should instantly help many to open their mind to new dimensions of life. Your insights made me pause for a while. Steven, thank you for standing on your ground in conversation with the INTELLIGENCE itself. 🙏🏽 Pranama Sadhguru. 🙏🏽

Mind blowing answers from Sadhguru. This is one of the rare interviews where he touched many aspects of mind- brain and consciousness together . And given ample time and focused discussion , the depth into the subject was profound. Stephen will definitely have some astonishment from the perception of Sadhguru. His scientist mind will not concur, but the as a curious human he will definitely be amazed to know so many different aspects our world. For me it was very fruitful time spent. Thank u d Sadhguru, for u opinions ,It is really refreshing fragrance.
One of the best sessions I ever listened . Satgurus point reconfirms the existing age old practice , Human are adviced to show less reverb by standing still to avoid being biten by snake when suudenly encountered.
Thank you, Sadhguru, several AHA moments for me: - soap bubble, neurologist not being to wield a sword in a different place different time. Sadhguru's wisdom. And his humour, the guru is there to mix the cocktail, otherwise there's no punch. :D
"Intelligence is the basis of memory but memory is not the basis of intelligence ......." Intelligence doesn’t need a memory, it functions on its own accord.
An Amazing intelligent being SADHAGURU - he can go so deep,,, beautifully portaging his artistic inner greatness of man- this phenomena of intelligent dimension ,, 'All depends on how much life we can capture " as Sadhuguru.....!!🙏🙏🙏
It's so funny because what I see is a purely intellectual mind trying to Think his way into understanding consciousness from the yogic perspective. I love it how our guru explains it. For me, it makes total sense. And the less we are identified with our physical bodies and psychological makeup the easier it is for us to experience, expand and reflect our truest nature .. Consciousness.
The way sadhguru explains the thing is UNBELEIVABLE... No one can teach like him. Nd Steve, so humble with a big smile and so much curious to know the things... Enjoy watching their conversation...
Such an interesting conversation between humble scientist steven & mystic sadhguruji who gives knowledge of consciousness in precise along with good sense of humour...🙏
Finding this discussion at this time, now, was meant to be. Now I must share it. Whenever I listen to Sadhguru, I am left with a kind of new belief in myself, a kind of can-do spirit, a gratefulness, and gladness that my time was so well-spent. Thank you Sadhgura, your smile, your voice - especially your chanting, are so pleasant to me.
I love this conversation. I’ll be listening to it again and again. So much knowledge to experience. I love that this is a discussion to not just understand life, consciousness but it’s about sharing, listening and learning from two totally different ways of thinking. What a great discussion. I have great gratitude to all three of these men. Great gratitude for Sadhguru.
Well said. Shaghuru explains it more as l am subjectively understanding. Consciousness is part of brain to understand by each person system programmed.
Laureys is so humble and willing to seek and challenge his assumptions. He demonstrates the beauty of science always reassessing. Very pleasant conversation.
This discussion is SO important for the changing into our new world! I am of the "ethereal" world and offer myself as a test subject for Steven Laureys to assist with the unrelated experience research.
Only way to fathom, even a bit of, what SADHGURU says, is to become a student like Steven. What a fantastic listening capabilities he has...Pranams to Sadhguru, Steven and Bala!
This speech is absolutely amazing. I love seeing the difficulty of the analytic mind (neurologist) grasping these concepts (represents all of us) and the simplification (always the best kind of teacher) of the yogi. The other scientist plays the buffer between the two worlds. In science, data can record subjective experiences as research data although they are more prevalent in the humanities as opposed to the physical sciences. I have been trying to under energy work for years and he just puts it together so simply. Ironically, now this has become a memory and a theory so it's part of my intellect now lol. I feel the point is to be an open book, to be boundless in one's identity and experiences. Yes, we may face cognitive dissonance initially but that just shows where the resistance is. Just go backand try again. I'm glad consciousness was explained in regards to animals because as I was listening to this, I understood that. They can tap into or access (my feeling) especially with more problem solving and creativity (play). I experience/observe it nonverbally with my dogs. Scientists would say I'm putting meaning on something not there but my gut says different. Anyway, I hope that this will be the beginning of my personal transformation by melding my own scientific/book background which allows me to critically think (a help to humanity) and understanding the internal significance of life (consciousness) while applying it by managing the mind better (soul). Blending of the physical and spiritual worlds. ;)
Mind is not the soul. Consciousness is an attribute of the omnipresent soul or divine just like heat is an attribute of fire. Tat Tvam Asi - You (conscious and immanent soul) are (already) that (transcendent and omnipresent divine) regardless of whether there is self realization or not. Without the conscious, immanent and omnipresent soul, nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles can happen.
Thank you so much Sadhguru, this is more than a precious teaching. Even I cannot give it any title. Your mighty talk is carved on my heart, and in the Cosmos. Also Dr Steve was excellent and very open. I feel that he is going to truly helpful to Humanity. Thank you again!!!

Steven & science clearly are explaining their incompetent/incorrect 'tool' - this gives the view Steven and science today have!
This sadhguru guy...I'm just starting to realize he is a treasure for humanity.
What an experience ! Thank you Sadhguru and Steven.
So are u saying u can also think from ur entire body?
@@madhukiranattivilli2321 First of all the way you perceive that statement in the generic sense will raise lots of issues for limited (Too identified) unexposed (To the spiritual process) intellectual humans. The way he meant it was that as a consequence of being part of the yogic process he is now able to access further dimensions of memory that is mentioned in the yogic sciences just as he explained in the video. Also just because an expert does something doesn't mean you can (but you can understand where he is coming from.) That is why @Pratap D said he can't deny the words of Sadhguru.
Sadhguru, wisdom speaks knowledge of eternal ages. Much love & gratitude, Namaste.
As usual, Sadhguru never disappoints. Loved the conversation.
Isn’t it amazing how fresh he looks even after talking for 1 & half hours continuously,??? That’s proof enough that what he teaches us all everyday has great substance. Science cannot explain a huge number of things in life yet.
"The ONE you're looking for is the ONE you're looking from." Namaste.
One of the best interview of Sadhguru 😍. Thanks to Bala and Steven🙏🙏🙏
Steven -- can i ask one question.?
Sadguru -- Yes Sir.. .
I love the way when he says yes sir..
51:30 The best and simplest explanation on what actually is CONSCIOUSNESS (by Sadhguru).
So many titles and a dramatic introduction for Steven. And Sadhguru with no fancy titles answering to Steven questions. How complex we made ourselves when something stars above us are so simple. Thank you both for the lessons.
Great observation and spot on 🙏🏻
This is going to be a full scientific knowledge video, I will not miss

I think he should remember Paramahansa Yogananda was the start of the true great teacher of Kriya.Yet he never mention his work.teachong Westerners in the 20's amout Self Relization. You are teaching the same path.
Sorry about my typos but you make references to Bahji or Sri Yukiswar but not Paramahansa who showed much more then Many other Guru's.
You could make a book from all Sadhgurus's talk. Every word he says makes perfect sense.
That's what his volunteers do.. They compile those talks and publish books..
Fascinating wisdom from Sahdguru!!! Thank you!
Sathguru, I have followed you for many years and believe that you are an extraordinary person with very clear views, and I am very impressed how you discusse with highly educated people who defend their points of view poorly by discussing with you. Congratulation.
Thank you to all 3 for this great mind stimulating subject!! Sadhguru 🙏
Ahhhhh Sadhguru always outshines the others with his holiness. I love you!

From the first time i listen to Sadguru i continued then in my mimdi knew he is a part of Lord Shiva because any question you ask him he answer it i think he is a great manand there is no other one like him
@@filmychannel6703 let me guess. You are here to keep tabs on the con jobs.
Steve is confused and so humble that's how everyone should be 👌🙏
Not confused. just grappling with new concepts, alien to him.
@@JagjotSingh not for western even india is more western
Yah, language is the barrier and knowledge data of it expressed as per their belief. We r to learn from both. Pls, gather the knowledge for ur intelligence. Not barrier of comparing, u miss the information. This discussion is very valuable lesson. 😉
Sadhguru has blown away the understanding, concept and approach of scientist regarding the consciousness, quite amazing to listen Sadhguru as always 😊
Pranama Sadhguru. 🙏🏽
After hearing all the interaction of Sadhguru with different experts of various areas,,,it feels like before they start with question mark on Sadhguru sayings and later just start blowing with the wind...and become a good listener.......and that's y we call this man a Mystic of India
Rightly said Pinku :)
Simply incredible! Thank you 🙏
Mind blowing answers from Sadhguru.
Thank u d
Sadhguru, for u opinions ,It is really refreshing fragrance.
This meeting of minds is awesome-so happy to see collaborative understanding
An Amazing intelligent being SADHAGURU - he can go so deep,,, beautifully portaging his artistic inner greatness of man- this phenomena of intelligent dimension ,, 'All depends on how much life we can capture " as Sadhuguru.....!!🙏🙏🙏
Wow, an interesting and mind blowing conversation.
Sadhguru your words are so precious, just listening to you fulfill my life in someway🙏🙏🙏
Love his take on using the body to experience consciousness!
Sadguru is sooooo wise, annd the man asking questions is very inquisitive. He is also wise
Steven is humble and open to learning. Great!
Amazing talk. All of them brilliant.
Pranams Sadhguru.
The way sadhguru explains the thing is UNBELEIVABLE... No one can teach like him.
Nd Steve, so humble with a big smile and so much curious to know the things...
Enjoy watching their conversation...
Steven, you should go to Isha and stay there three months! That would be the way!
Wow. Can't believe how open Steven is in his attempt to understand Sadhuru from a scientific perspective.
Oh my gosh! This is the best conversation. Please make sure this video reaches to lot of people. 🙏
Literally Mind opening conversation. Very interesting and informative. Thanks sadhguru
