A SAPPHIRE Costume | Making a Drag Costume!

Here is a run through of the costume I made for Ottawa drag queen, Sophia Sapphire! The theme for the costume was blues and rhinestones (hence the queen's name lol).
There was a lot that went into the harnessing and small pattern pieces for the shapes of the base of the costume. Mina Gerges is a designer with an interesting pattern making process. He wraps himself in shrink wrap and duct tape, almost creating a very tight cast of his body shape. He cuts it off and creates his pattern from this, his pieces end up fitting really nicely.
