the5ftgoddess drag queens are hands down some of the most incredible people, to do drag and do it well u need extensive makeup knowledge, hair and wig styling knowledge, sewing and fashion knowledge, music knowledge, dance knowledge and be a performer!! Drag queens and kings are some of the best artists on the earth.

Ok but like real talk that fabric/outfit is to die for. 😩 I bought some fabric exactly like that but put it on the headboard of my bed to cover up its original wood pattern and I love it so much. Sparkles and rainbows are honestly my dream aesthetic and I’m jelly cuz you look amazing in that outfit 💁🏻‍♀️

I enjoy the fact that you aren't an expert, it makes for an easy to follow not too difficult tutorial that is for beginners, which i am. I am learning alot from your tutorials

Shortcut: sew your sleeves onto the garment FIRST before sewing the side seams then sew down the sleeve seam and then the side seam. It is easier than trying to manipulate a small garment around the sewing machine.

I really enjoy your tutorials. You're easy to follow and do a great job explaining how you make each garment. I love that you explain your processes and how you adapt when you make mistakes. No one makes everything perfectly the first time. I'm really proud of you for making these tutorials so beginner friendly. This outfit turned out fantastic! Kyne, you're great!

I absolutely adore your sewing videos and how you show you also make mistakes. But, there it is, the feared but; I'm fourteen and I have got a lot of tips for you; so sit down comfortably and have some tea.
1: if you place the pins horizontally you can sew over them without having to stop everytime.
2: When you use this method, buy pins without a knob on the head, but with a little spikeish top, its flat and it's easier to use.
3: Preperation is 80% of the work; measure, draw patterns, transfer the patterns onto the fabric etc. Also: plan and wait some days till you make it, you might change your mind and that is not very pleasant when that happens while sewing.
4: It's a little bit more work but definitely pays off and looks neat: transfer the pattern of the real shape (so without the extra space for the seam) onto the fabric by tracing it with a pencil. Cut a few centimetres fro th edge of the lines. now sew the pieces onto each other wit the seam on the lline you drew. If needed cut away access fabric next to the seam if it is too long/thick.
5: We have this thing in The Netherlands we call Tornmesje; it's a tool used to remove unwanted/failed seams. It is like a sausage fork, but small and is sharp inbetween. It's really easy to use and I recommend you get one. I believe it is called a Seam Ripper???
This is everything I noticed that may help you to improve your sewing skills. I am not sure wether you do or not use these methods, but I thought it may be helpful.
I sew a lot and for a long time and I have made several clothing items for myself by the way.
I am sorry if I seem to be petty or rude, that is not my intension at all and my Enlish is not the best at all.
    Hope it helped; keep slaying!

Hammering off the sequins on the seam allowances helps it sew smooth and could help keep them from getting stuck in the zipper

i wish i was with you when you were making this!! i've learned how to sew exactly the same way as you, by just getting in and having a go, you're at the stage i was about 2/3 years ago, it's a fun journey, what people don't understand is, how much fabric you ruin how many or dresses you fuck up, even when you're so confident, things can fuck up quickly. but they also don't understand that high you feel when it goes right, or even better, when its better than you thought it'd turn out. and you go out, and people GAAAAG for it, it makes you feel so fucking good. your drag has improved so much even in the last 6 months of uploads. come to australia soon, you'd fucking slay here x

I normally hate the two-way sequin fabric, but that is such an amazing design. I need that fabric now! The rainbow and plain silver complement one another, which I never personally see in two-way sequin designs. You are such an amazing person! Your drag is amazing! You are so talented as a drag queen because you do everything yourself, which speaks so much louder to your creativity! Also, you are overall an amazing person with the smarts, wit, talent, and awesomeness that you will do wonders in the future with whatever plans you choose. You dedicate yourself to school and still find time to do other things you love, and I see you will have a bright future! Love yah!

If I can add 1 thing as a seamstress - it's better to cut the back pattern in half and then add the seam allowance. In this tutorial, You made the bodysuit tighter, that You intended to because You used the original back width to install the zipper.
I hope You understand, what I'm saying :P It's still very pretty tho :D

Hi! First of all, great piece of garment!! I went to fashion school here in Mexico and studied how to build about any piece, been sewing for about 10 years now, and let me tell you, I've seen people struggle with sewing, myself incluided, but you did a great job over all, I can tell you really enjoy doing it and It would have been nice to see more people with your enthusiasm in fashion school. I tend to thing some of these things are mostly intuitive, but they're not, it takes skill and passion to make clothes, so congratulations and I'm loving your channel. Also you should finish those hems cause u gonna lose sequins

I just learned so many jaw-dropping tips from this 😭 Yesterday I sewed a top with a zipper front, and I literally used tweezers + jewelry pliers to take off the metal zipper stopper and put it back on where I wanted the zipper to stop but your method in the video is so much faster what the heck 😂

  • @Terrible_Hime

sometimes if you get fabric that's only 2 way stretch, if you cut your pieces on the bias (sideways from corner to corner instead of vertically or horizontally) you can get a little bit of 4 way stretch. down side is that it uses way more fabric so it can be kind of wasteful

Omg GAG! Absolutely gorgeous, that fabric is what everybody needs in its life! 😍
Tip from a tailor. Maybe it would be an idea to first sew the shoulders of the body pieces together and then the head of the sleeve to the front and back of the piece. After that you can turn the top/dress/etc. good sides together and sew the edge cuff all the way to the bottom seam in one long stitch. Does this make sense? I hope so, lemme know. And keep up the good work! Greetings and lots of love from Amsterdam!

Top stitching the fabric next to the zipper makes it neater and keeps the sequins out of the zipper. Heavy duty needs too, marketed for denim, can help avoid as many breaks.
