    @BAUScouple Reacts,
    3:30 He likely became a Skrull sometime between Falcon and the Winter Soldier and this series here. James Rhodes needs the exoskeleton that Tony built for him to walk, and this woman Skrull we're seeing took a shower unaided. We were also told in the first episode that it is important for Skrulls to stay in their shells for long periods of time to be indistinguishable to for the real person, but we saw in this episode that this Skrull despises being Rhodey--she showers as herself, and she touches her own skins as though she misses. If she were more in tune with her shell, she wouldn't have messed up calling Fury "Nick."
    6:54 I love the Skrulls' story in the MCU--their story is the minority migrant story in a country predominately run by Europeans. All of the Skrulls want to be as they are, but they know they can't. The moment they do, the retaliation against them will be relentless because of how different they look.
    I also like how the MCU as already shown us aliens on Earth being accepted like they're already one of us, the Asgardians! New Asgard is like Disneyworld and people from all over are going their for vacation! The Asgardian experience is the same as most Europeans immigrating to the US or Canada--greeted by society with open arms and government support. It's messed up, sure, but the MCU is taking shots at society and I can't wait to see how they bring this issue to light. What's going on here is going to continue into Captain America 4 and I assume that this series is the reason the title of that movie was recently changed to "Brave New World." Skrulls in the world, as themselves will be new, and different. They and those around them, will have to be brave to move forward.
    7:15 MARS! Between the Skrulls, Asgardians technology, Thor and Rocket, surely they can figure out how to get Mars' core spinning the way it used to to make the planet's Magnetosphere, and once that's under control, the planet will start to heat up, melting the ice caps return water to the soil. Even better, Rocket could take them to that planet where he rebuilt the Guardians ship after their fight with the Sovereign--that planet was uninhabited!
    7:40 This is setting up the conflict to come from the Mutants!
    10:48 It sure did! in 1997 Fury was totally smitten when he greeted her. That said, once they were together, she chose to be as she is now, so Fury never really got to live with as she actually is. Though, I don't think he really cares about that, she's the same person, and he knows who she really is. She chose to remain as Priscilla, Fury was interested in Varra in 1997 and again in 1998.
    11:58 things went south with Gravik after the snap, probably around the Blip--Fury didn't return, and Talos told us in episode one that no one took Fury's absence harder than Gravik did.
    12:09 the woman Skrull made it sound like she's calling the shots. Priscilla called Gravik last week, and Rhodey answered the phone, remember. Rhodey met Priscilla in the church and told her not to worry about Gravik, and that she's the one that's making the call on ending Fury's life. Talos name dropped Emperor Drogge and his loyal colony in episode two! Is this Rhodey imposter the Skrull Princess?! Secret Invasion isn't the Skrull per se, Fury knew about them 30 years ago. I think Secret Invasion is referring to Emperor Drogge's colony, and their efforts to take over the Earth. Shirley Sakar, the Skrull that refused to submit to Gravik in episode two, warned the council that they were about to go down the same road that lost them their home--Talos delivered to salvation when he and his troops got them off that world and eventually brought them to Earth; and for 30 years they lived a life a piece. As we saw with many of the council members, they were content with their new circumstances albeit trapped behind their human shells, but it was a life with benefits.
    Next week can't come soon enough.

      @@burockusethompson8320 I didn't forget about FFH. FFH told us that SWORD commissioned SABER, which I don't think we had a name for at the time. It told us Fury was in space, and that was it. We saw that after the Blip that he went back to work, protecting the Earth from threats, but this time in space.
      We didn't learn what he was doing up there until this series, which still hasn't spelled it out, but I'm pretty sure it will.
      Captain America: Brave New World is likely going to focus on the Skrulls living among us, as themselves and the intolerance that'll follow, which will likely lead into to Mutants since its the perfect environment for the backlash that series always deals with, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
      Secret Invasion likely isn't about the Skrulls per se--we've known they were here since Captain Marvel--put Emperor Drogge's colony. I believe that's the invasion! There the ones that have made a mess of things, at least that's the way I see it. Why name drop Emperor Drogge's colony if you weren't going to use it? Episode two didn't give us much about Gravik's parents, but as they died a a glorious death in battle, they were likely loyal to the Skrulls Talos and those with him fled, "home in my own skin," is their mantra and we can see how they detest this new world that's given them refuge--the Rhodey imposter touched herself like she missed the feel of her own skin.
      Anyway, we've got two stories to go and they're going to be a banger. Bito has a role to play too. Wonder what it'll be? We see him fighting Gravik in a quick flash in the promo commercial. We also see a quick flash of G'iah over Talos' body during the firefight. We also see Fury fighting Gravik in the machine that made Gravik a Super Skrull. The next two episodes are going to be wild!
      I still think things aren't as they seemed, and that Fury isn't the washed up guy he's been portrayed to be. Maria Rambeau wasn't snapped. She put in place some protocols that'll likely come into play, but we'll just have to wait and see. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Monica and Vision pop up before all is said and done, though I do think this needs to finish with Fury--he told us this was his fight and a fight that he needs to fight alone since the beginning.

    You guys are among the most enjoyable REACTORS, as opposed to the disengaging running commentary RESPONDERS.
    GREAT.
    As you, the revelation of present day Rhodey being a Skrull, female to boot, has some of the audience asking "When?" I assert the pertinent question is actually "Why?'; ultimately entailing "When?". Why did the Skrulls construe supplanting James Rhodes would service their cause?
    And the rate of Extremis restoration can't overcome catastrophic vital organs destruction. Tony blasted out Savin's thorax on the plane and Pepper pretty exploded Killian entirely.
    Wow. Great. "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" call back.
    LOL. The whole Terrance Howard Rhodey to Don Cheadle Rhodey BTS swap out being contextually addressed would better be ----SPOILER!! ---- more organically consequent of the events of Spider-Man No Way Home. Ha.
    Regarding the personality, personableness and compassion of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel:.
    Many have lost track that Steve Rogers's personal Captain America evolution was from military soldier to civil Protector. John Walker's mismatching wasn't his not being a super soldier Captain America but not having the heart of a Protector Captain America till the finale of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
    Carol Danvers was a military soldier in her Earth existence and her V-Ers Kree existence. She later evolved to Protector Captain MAR-VELL, not just selfishly to only her home world Earth, but just as she attested in Avengers Endgame, the ENTIRE UNIVERSE. She vowed to end the Kree Empire's tyranny, find the Skrulls a new home -- easily accomplished right? So don't be too hard on our Cosmic Heroine, or Bree Larson's excellent embodiment, for her absence on Earth, stoicism and earnest manner, her plate has been full since 1995, and keeps having stuff dded to it.
    And, she may not smile all that much but she GRINS her buns off more often than a beach bunny as she's servicing universal good.

      In your opinion, what's the difference between the two? (between the reactors and responders)
      We gotta drop Gravik in a boiling lake of lava then! 😂 or like you said take out some vital organs! If Fury would have hit his brain instead of his cheek, he'd be a goner right now.
      Whenever the swap happened, we just hope they address it to where it makes sense! 😂 and yes WHY did they think Rhodey would be a great asset to their cause 🤔
      We might be a little harsh on Captain Marvel but they gotta at least show us what she's been doing in The Marvels movie because she just feels absent 😂

    • @dwaynejohnson4727
      @dwaynejohnson4727 Рік тому

      @BAUScoupleReacts The Difference: predominately genuine Reactors are like watching along with your family and friends fans: FUN; predominately Responder Reactors are like watching along with entertainment critics and film anatomizers: YAWN.
      You ain't wrong, Carol Danvers HAS BEEN ABSENT. I'm just saying unlike the other pivotal characters in the MCU epoch that was Endgame, who’ve had multiple prior Phase features and sequels introducing, acquainting and promoting fostering their particular identity and personality to the Audience, Carol Danvers only had Captain Marvel to introduce, acquaint and potentially promote fostering her to the audience.
      And because the majority events of Captain Marvel involved Carol Danvers practically rediscovering and acquainting herself with her own identity and persona, the Audience only got to know Carol Danvers’s heroic heart at best.
      So the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels doesn’t have an overdue debt to pay to the Audience regarding Carol Danvers, but the opportunity to delve into Carol Danvers’s identity and personality post Endgame, just as the other pivotal characters in their feast of sequels and features had pre Endgame.

      @@bluebaron9392 Brogan wasn't anyone we knew so we didn't lose him. He may as well have been Skrull #4 in the credits. I don't think anyone really cared since he's literally the enemy. That's like being sad because Hydra member #6 died at the beginning of Winter Soldier. And G'iah is still alive. So, very much not lost.
      So, to repeat myself, we've lost Hill and Talos. That's it.
