Why does no one realize that the cookies and milk are for Santa and the carrots are for the reindeer. It's only polite to feed the team, they're doing most of the work.
They are definitely doing most of the work so they deserve a little something too, you are right! 😆

Yeah as a kid me and my brother used to make reindeer food pretty sure it was just like oatmeal and salt or oatmeal and sugar can't remember then we'd throw it on the roof and I'm not going to lie a couple times I thought I actually heard reindeer on the roof even if there was no reindeer up there it was totally worth throwing oatmeal all over the roof & the salt or sugar would usually glitter looked cool 😂
I think it's pretty clear that Kevin is the scapegoat in his family. But, as we see when he's interacting with people who aren't his relatives, Kevin is perfectly polite to people who are nice to him. He's just so accustomed to being treated like a nuisance by his siblings it ignored by his parents that he's automatically on the defensive with them.
I think it is a little bit more nuanced than that. We learn in the beginning that Kevin does things he shouldn’t do (like the thing with the fish hooks) and talks back rudely to his parents. He also says to the neighbour that he hasn’t really been good. The thing is that throughout the movie, he experiences character growth. Also, older siblings are often mean without even realizing it, and during the pizza dinner, the truth is that most of them only saw Kevin ramming against his brother so… And the parents are really not that different from other oblivious movie parents.
@@Lii170 That's exactly my point. Kevin has already learned not to have much respect for his parents or his siblings because of how he's treated year-round. He understands that he's not necessarily being good to his family, but, they aren't good in return. Telling his mom that he hopes he never sees her for the rest of his life over being provoked by Buzz, who does that all the time was something he knew he shouldn't have said.

This movie is such a classic! My parents told me when I watched this movie as a toddler I’d always cry at the parts when the two robbers would get hurt.😂 Kevin’s family sucks. I don’t blame him for wishing they’d vanish.
Classic for sure, we'll have our kids watch it way sooner than us 😂Awww poor toddler you was sympathizing with the robbers 😂his family is pretty terrible but it made for an entertaining movie 😆
When my daughter was a toddler, her first film to sit through for the whole time was Jungle Book. She always cried when the Tiger tried to get Mowgli, but the Bear grabbed his tail and saved him. I finally realized she wasn't crying because she'd been worried about Mowgli, but because she didn't like Baloo pulling the Tiger's tail! I realized she was saying "No pull tail!" She couldn't see towards the future (Mowgli getting eaten), only the present, that an animal was probably in pain due to the actions of another. Funny!

Angels with Filthy Souls is an original movie within a movie: a parody of the old gangster movies. Johnny is just as well known as Kevin as a result, because he’s so memorable. Maybe even more so, since his “filthy animal” lines are the ones that end up on t-shirts.
Such a classic 😂 I always randomly just yell “Kevin” 😂

I love that John Candy and Macaulay were reunited in this after Uncle Buck. Even though they weren't in a scene together, close enough. Also the funeral scene by Candy was completely improvised, which makes it even more hilarious. And Marv's spider death scream is legit. He had arachnophobia. The greatest crime in this movie certainly...even tragedy...is that Kevin didn't even get to eat his Macaroni and Cheese...😞
That funeral scene was great! Loved that it was improvised. Listen, if either one of us had a tarantula on our faces we would probably scream like he did (especially BreAnna) 😭that was a HUGE crime he didn't even get to TASTE the Mac n Cheese 😩
33 years ago. I remember going to see it when I was a little kid (about Kevin's age) my family loved it so much we went and saw it 2 times. Those were the days

I hope you will watch Home Alone 2 next. I found it to be a tad funnier than the first one (the brick scene always cracks me up - you'll see what I mean). There were a total of 6... SIX Home Alone films, but the first two are the only ones worth your time. Parts 3 - 6 has a totally different lead kid, cast, & directors. It's obvious that they were just money grabs for the studio executives trying to cash in on the popularity of the first two original movies, that have become iconic holiday classics over the years.
A bit of trivia for you - Joe Pesci filmed this movie around the same time he was filming Goodfellas. He was so used to cursing on the Goodfellas set that he had a hard time refraining from using profanity on this family-friendly movie. So he came up with his own "frickin' frackin' language" to convey his anger & frustration over getting his butt kicked by a little kid - LOL! Merry X-mas!
Home Alone 4: Taking Back The house goes back to Kevin and his family, played by different actors apparently, but I consider that movie not canon because it pretends that Home Alone 2: Lost in New York never happened (and I consider that blasphemy), and because Kevin is confirmed to be 9 years old in Home Alone 4 when he should be 10, considering the chronological timeline of the first two movies.
Fun fact: The director of Home Alone 3, Raja Gosnell, was the editor of Home Alone 1 and 2.
Yeah we def plan on watching Home Alone 2 sometime next year, just not sure when. If you say it's a holiday movie as well then we'll probably watch it sometime around the holidays next year. Oh wow that's some great trivia! I (Fonz) love Goodfellas and there was a TON of cursing in that so I couldn't imagine having to go back and forth 😂 Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!! 🎁🎄

You should definitely watch home alone 2 and I’d say give home alone 3 a shot cause I personally think it’s pretty decent, but don’t watch 4, 5, or 6, they are absolute garbage and aren’t worth your time at all

@BAUScoupleReacts there are just certain people who can just improvise on the spot like that, John candy is one of them. Jim Carry is another good one. After they put out a great movie you later find out a third of the lines they just added on the spot.

3.Marv /Daniel Stern has arachnophobia. That's why he freaked out. He insisted on doing that scene in one take. (NOTE: tarantula spiders aren't venomous to humans but look scary). He insisted on only one take. They dubbed his scream not to scare the spider.
4. "Angels with Filthy Souls" is not a real movie.
5. GOOF: Marv has tar all over his foot when he steps on the stairs but when he grabs his foot, and all the other scenes after that no tar.
6. NO WAY could a child get the rope tight enough between the house and treehouse without a winch of some kind.
7. There's ANOTHER NO WAY Kevin could clean up that fast.
8. "Home Alone II" is good. However, Kevin as good hearted as he is, he gets mean.
9. Macaulay Culkin worked with John Candy (and Hughes) in "Uncle Buck".
That's how he got this gig. Great first time/share. HINT HINT

I always see reactors scold the mom and talk about CPS, etc but never acknowledge that it's just part of a movie plot. FFS, have fun with it. Patronizing and criticizing a fictional famiky is pointless and kinda weird 😂
