      It's considered bad etiquette for an upper belt to maul a beginner. Unless they're assholes or you piss them off most black belts will go at roughly your pace and let you work the techniques your trying to learn instead of countering everything you're trying to do and choking/breaking you.

If anyone thinks Brad is actually holding is own here, they've never trained. He could absolutely destroy Brad instantly if he wanted to. Strength can supplant a lot of technique. However, the point is to learn the skill so you can preserve your energy. I think that overcoming that will be BM's biggest obstacle.

      Yeah he definitely has the potential to be a beast in this sport. He needs to double down on cardio and actually lose just a little mass so he doesn't gas out so quickly and have a little better range of motion.

    • @89ludeawakening1
      @89ludeawakening1 3 роки тому

      @@stevenhalf3078 that's also something Brad will definitely need to work on. He's gonna have to learn how to get in position for different chokes and also majorly work on grip strength. I'm pretty sure at first he was thinking his strength was going to help him more than it does. But no matter how strong you are, if you're facing someone who's skilled in BJJ, they'll be able to get out of a hold or choke even if you're twice as strong as them.
