- It was a leisure week and by leisure I mean very little to no garden work. most of the veggies are not ready yet and the garden was still looking good, weed wise. although the wind would have made it tricky to do much of anything.
hope you enjoy and sending you much love ❤️
#Hutterite #summer
my chocolate recipe:
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp coconut oil
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp espresso powder
pinch (or more) of salt
mix well, top with almond butter or nut butter of your choice, sprinkle more salt on top, freeze until hard enough to break into bite sized pieces and enjoy.
I store mine in the freezer.

Giselle! The Sweet Marjoram. Must not let the plant dry out. Keep trimming top(I mound mine round) to avoid going leggy. Recipe: Cut peeled potatoes into large chunks (1.5 inch square as much as possible). Boil until soft for stews. Drain and remove from the pot. While the pot is hot, back on the stovetop with 2-3 tablespoons of chopped fresh Marjoram per stick of butter. Allow butter to met and meld with herb very well. Place potatoes back in pot. Add Salt to taste. Stir (don't mash) until all potatoes have been covered well with herb butter mixture! I usually heat and stir until potatoes have surrendered a small bit that almost makes a sauce! Voila!
Good to know, thank you 😊
Giselle, vlog 200!!! Congratulations! I have enjoyed everyone of them!! Thank you for sharing your life with us!

Hi Giselle, lilac has always been my favorite flower. Thank you for the video. Hello Priscilla
Your music is always so Beautiful.
I watch your videos to bring peace into my life. Thank you and Best Wishes from Montana! M.H.
Could you post the title of the hymns at the end?
They are so beautiful... I would like to sing along.
Oh my days, Giselle. I did not know honey could be flavored with lilacs! I enjoyed the soap making too. I will have to explore this craft more. Thank you for this delightful video. God bless you all!
You’re SO fortunate to live where Lilacs flourish!
Whaat a shame about the wildflowers, i remember you doing them.
They may just pop back up at some point.
Your pink dress with the blue snaps at the end looked fabulous, really suited you, thank you for taking up along on another day 😊 have a blessed sunday to all of you.
Thank you! Dogs liuke to share the good things of Life!! Shake-shake! Have a good week - lovely singing at the end...
The big bee is a gyne, a fertile bumblebee. She hibernates all winter and is the first out in the spring to gather pollen and lay eggs. ❤ bumblebee 🐝
Nice video, thank you for taking the time to make it.
I love your pink flower dress ! so summery and pretty
Lilac is my very favorite flower 😊. In Vancouver BC, our lilac bloom in April. 😊
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Love the red dress ❤
One of my favourite TV chefs Ina Garten ALWAYS adds a touch of espresso to her chocolate dishes (especially cakes). It doesn’t really change the profile but makes the chocolate stand out more.
Love this weeks video. Can’t wait for the honey review.
You can also add cayenne pepper. It's very good with chocolate and healthy too
WooHoo #200!!! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for such wonderful content and for helping us learn new things. Especially, thank you for teaching us about nature. Enjoy these beautiful days. ❤
You are a wonderful ray of sunshine! I like to see your and Kona's walks in the woods. How old is she now? Is she allowed to be in your house? Looking forward to your next cook week and picking strawberries, too. LOVE the song at the end. Thank you.
Enjoyed the video . ❤❤ I love the smell of Lilac and Lavender. My dad has a huge Lilac bush. It was his mom's. It is 85 years or more old. It looks like a patch of trees. God bless you and your family. God bless all here. ❤✝️ ❤
I do so enjoy the a cappella hymn singing you used today! This whole episode was such a nice positive feeling, very nicely done.
You live in such a beautiful area! We have a female German Shepard who would love to join Kona in the water. She loves doing the exact same thing! 💜
Giselle, congrats on 200 vlogs! I'm a Mennonite from Oregon, and I've been watching your videos for quite a while now, which only stoke my interest in fellow Anabaptists. I've always been interested in our related groups, and your videos capture what most people never see about a Hutterite colony. My dad grew up in Minot, North Dakota, and remembers seeing a number of colonies not too far away. My family is planning on visiting a colony in Washington or Montana at some point because it's been on my dad's bucket list since he was a kid. Keep the wonderful videos Giselle, we love watching them! Segenswünsche aus Oregon.
Thank you Giselle for the wonderful vlog and opportunity to share in your beautiful story. 😊
Lilacs in late April here in Pennsylvania. The fragrance can't be beat! Picking blooms encourages new flowers next year.😀
I adore Lindt chocolate and lilacs 💜

Thank you for sharing snippets. That was fun to see the end knowing it was something you were doing in the video 😊🙏💜
Lilac honey sounds fantastic looks beautiful!
Thank you for sharing your week.❤ I truly enjoyed your video.
Bakers Creek has a beautiful catalog of rare seeds. Outside the U.S it costs a little to order. The pictures are a work of art. You and all your family would enjoy looking at it. Enjoyed watching every time. ❤
Love your vlogs.
I LOVE lilacs! I used to suck the drop of nectar from the little flowers when I was a little girl but I had no idea you could use it to flavor honey.
Love the new beauty spring/summer dresses!! And boy are you brave in trying all these new wildlife concoctions!! Not me..give me plain and simple!! xxx
Thanks for the lovely video! I see where God did some pruning on the trees. I'm sure they'll look beautiful for the next bit of living.
I love your videos so much. I feel I know you. God bless you dear one.
I’ve given up sugar also ( but for health reasons) but it must be VERY difficult on your colony because the desserts you guys make look divine!
I love watching a good storm roll in!
Same, there is just something about it.
Please teach us how you collect herbs! Would love to learn more!
Thank you, for the vlog! A lovely summer week!❤
Your chocolate looked really good! I love dark chocolate. I wonder if it would be good with some of those rose petals in it? I gathered wild blackberries this morning from the end of my street so I understand bringing a bag along(and gardening glove!). Always enjoy your vlogs. We need rain down here in NC. Love a good thunderstorm shower!
Giselle, if you try another batch of spruce soda, use only the needles, not the stems. If the needles have woody ends on them take those off as well
I just love to watch your video's,vall about the basic good things life (and/or the Lord) can bring and give you. And that's important to remember in a life that's also full of the 'big things' who are in the end 'ugly things' (hope you know what I mean🤔).
I will try try to make your chocolate, it looked delicious. Only problem: we, in Europe, don't use the 'cup- measurements', we do everything in grams. So I have to figure out how to make your cups into my grams🤪. Well maybe mr Google can help me👍
Thanks again🌷🌻🌷
Giselle your wild flowers may not be gone. They normally flower early spring. not summer. Put a note in your calendar on your phone to check next year in the spring. Oh the chocolate looks good. I was just thinking a little salt would be good on top. and then you put some on. Can you please tell me what the Lilacs and honey is used for? OH!! I really like the Pink container you got for Kona's treats.Thank you for sharing parts of your life with us. Your videos make me so relaxed, with your music thank you
My honeysuckle smells so beautiful, just as the evening starts to cool it makes my entire yard smell so lovely, I’ve heard jelly can be made but never tried it.
In Japan, they make a coffee flavored gelatin dessert. And top it with whipped cream.😊
Love that pink dress with the turquoise snaps! Always a delight to see you Giselle! Many thanks!❤❤❤
And the yellow print is gorgeous.
Giselle, I think it would be great if you did a recommended reading list! :)
Thank you for this lovely video Giselle ! I enjoyed it so much , I feel encouraged! 🌸🌿 I’m sorry your wild flowers did not survive , one never knows they may show up another year . The spruce drink is a great idea , so rich in vitamin c and more ! Your cleaning so industrious , I’m curious do you listen to music as you work ? I loved seeing Kona relaxing in the cool creek and enjoying her drink of cool stream water ! 🌿🌸💕😊
Our Lilac are brown and finished here in the UK, it did smell lovely, should be nice honey, great video.
Healthy dip from The Common Man restaurant in New Hampshire...6 pounds cottage cheese (full fat), 12c. Ketchup, 1 quart horseradish, 1c. parsley, 2 T. Tabasco, 1/3c. Worcestershire sauce, 2T. garlic powder, 1c. lemon juice. Mix in 5 gallon bucket. Serve w/ crackers. Thought of you since you grow your own horseradish. 😊
Such a refreshing vlog! :)
Love the smell of lilacs.
Please may I have the words to this hymn ❤❤❤ I love it. Tia.
Linden tonic water is the best!
🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Giselle I love the yellow dress you had on Saturday. It is so pretty. How long have you had Conna for. It is so fun I to see Conna in your videos.she is so cute. By the way when you said why do they wait till there near you to shake the excess water of I know what you mean 😅

Wohoo hi Giselle🙋♀️ Just perfect timing after a long day of uni☺️
Thanks for the big smile you put on my face . You are a joy too know.
How very lovely - I can almost smell them thru the internet.
Thank you for this, Giselle !
how very good to see you again. how was the lilac tea? lilacs are so pretty and have that wonderful sweet fragrance. the chocolate bark looked so good and so few ingredients! i know your days were busier than you vlogged, but it was a restful and delightful time. my dad was a pastor and my eldest son is a pastor at a Mennonite church. i nor my children were brought up Mennonite...mainly Baptist. but the Salvation through Christ was the foundation. thank the Lord the temps have gone down and we can breathe! lol we have gotten some of the rain we truly needed. amen!! have a good and joyful week. see you soon. ps...still catching up on earlier vlogs.
i have been following you and you are amazing , my sister also started following you and she told me she loves u and how you explain your daily life in detail . keep up with your posts , we will be watching .
Giselle do you have any of your music available for us at all or do you know where we can get hold of these wonderful hyms and the harmonies are just amazing. Another beautiful video by the way💖🤗
Thanks for your vlog enjoy as usual
Another nice vlog. Thanks for sharing!❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lilacs are my favorite scented flower...The aroma is wonderful...I used to have them on our little farm, when my husband was still alive. I've been wanting to get a couple of new bushes for my home here...this has inspired me to look into doing that now!! The fries & drink look so delicious!! Ooh, the addition of coffee was a fantastic idea, Giselle...I know in some recipes, I have added coffee to the chocolate too, like brownies...yum!! Have you ever made Gingerbread? A long time ago, I bought this cookbook, can't think of the name right now, but it had such wonderful recipes & one of them particularly caught my attention...it was for Gingerbread, but it had the added ingredient of pepper in it. I made the recipe & I can't tell you exactly what it did, but it enhanced the flavor so much...it became my favorite Gingerbread recipe!! Giselle, I so love the pink print of your dress & the sleeves of your blouse too...you find the prettiest prints for your dresses & make the cutest blouses too. Thank you so much for sharing, Giselle.♥ I always love seeing Kona...she is such a faithful little friend🐾♥
Blessings from Australia 🇦🇺🙏💜
thank you
thank you Giselle! greetings from Moscow❤️🙏
Thank you Giselle
Last year for mother's day my Amish husband and our four kids got me a Mr.Coffee iced coffee maker. I drink iced coffee all year around.

I love your videos, thank you.
Out of curiosity. In one of your latest videos you and your friend were on a very large swing couch. Do you have plans I may have to buold one for myself? Never hurts to ask.
Giselle, just came home saw your amazing vlog. Love your soap looks so beautiful. After watching your vlogs, over time they have become more professional. You are an amazing vlogger. You are up there with the best. You put so much hard work into your vlogs and it shows. We thank you for that. I just want to say how much of a difference you have made in the world through your vlogs. Keep up the good work. See you next time.
@gilbaum.. since you live on a Kibbutz in Israel, what been happening in your community??? Why haven't you served time in the IDF? Its "amazing" that you havent
There's sugar in that Lindt 90% chocolate bar. Minimal, but still there.
Do you have a certain way you make the coffee that goes in the fridge?
Hi Giselle 👋 would you please tell me what province you are in? I'm unsure, I thought maybe Saskatchewan or Manitoba 😊
Manitoba
When you scrub things down, do you go back over with clear water to rinse?
Another good video Giselle and i wonder the same as you why do my two dogs wait to their right beside you, then they have a big shake all over you. Maybe their saying thanks i was hot and you cooled me down. Or maybe they think there cooling you down. You take care i just got covid again and i heard AMERICA is getting it again in places. This time it was different went for my throat and i feel awful. Give kona a cuddle from me. Jean.
Hi there Gisela. You have to tell me what the Lilacs are called in German, what name did they have. I remember, when I was a youngster, our neighbour had a tree with Lilac flowers, and the scent was heavenly. The tree came in 2 colours, white and lilac. Ask your mum or Dad. Kind regards, Doug.😘
It is "Flieder"
@@wendyw.2778 many many thanks, wendy. Do you remember the scent? was I right ? kind regards, Doug.
@@dougbear5498 it is a sweet scent, but very powerful. If you cut lilac and put it in a vase, the whole room smells like lilac
Put some chopped nuts in that chocolate!
I'm confused. At what point do you wash the lilac flowers to make sure there aren't any bugs in them
I keep my cat food in a 5 gal pail
I have
