My mother said “Marry a rich man or a handy man.” She negelcted to add “Marry a willing man!” You’ve hit the jack pot. Great family team.
LOL, I did hit the jack pot. Thank you! and that's a great piece of advice. I think I'll take the handy man... they are more fun I bet. 😂
Haha, I was laughing out right at the reminiscing of your first arbor!😂😅 we definitely get to know our husbands better as time goes on!😅❤ oh and I have a husband who knows how to do EVERYTHING! he just needs TIME!❤
TIME. 😅 how I can relate to that. We all hardly have enough aye?
@@theMennoniteMom I have a question... do you like the Lectric bike better than the Hey Bike?
You’re just fine with those 2 in the back! I remember back in the day when our dad let us ride on the tailgate of the station wagon when mom wasn’t around 😂
When mom wasn't around 🤣 that cracked me up
I love watching you and your husband interaction. It is so sweet to see how men and women think differently and yet look at the beautiful arbor. God is so good we are different… life would be boring if we were the same . Don’t stop laughing together!!
So true! We see things so differently but it does make for an interesting life. God bless!
Nolan truly is the whole package. Hard working, good husband and father and a man of God.
I'm a lucky woman
How I wish the world had more men like Nolan. Such a calm steady presence. Never found my other half but sure wish I’d found one like him. 👍
My husband was like that and it was such a blessing. It’s been 3 years this month since we lost him and I miss him more everyday.
He truly is a gem, that I thank God for. I can't imagine loosing him 💔 sending hugs @starflower703
You are not becoming dependent, you are being taken care of. Cherish the care and love.
Xander is so industrious with his handsaw. It is good to see a young boy being allowed even encouraged to use tools and help his family.
Great point 😅 I'm blessed thanks for being here
I like your rustic arbor, fits in with the country look. Perfect is for other things!! Lexi and her big toothie grin...so cute. Nothing better then the open country life where they can run and be free.
So cute watching Lexi play with the dog and play peek a boo in the field! So cute such a daddy’s girl! She’s not afraid of frogs!
Your husband is such a blessing. Reminds me of mine. He's always finding ways to make my ideas come to life. Thank God for good men. ❤
Amen! What would we do without them?
Zander is such a great helper and growing up so fast
Couldn’t you just make a simple video about cleaning your kitchen and a bathroom 🤣🤣🤣? Nope, you just have to surprise everyone again. I love it 👍. And you husband is also very sweet , Blessings 🙏🌺🌼🌸
🤣🤣 I get So bored with the bathroom and kitchen. I can't believe people enjoy watching a bathroom get cleaned. (I guess it's motivating?)
😂😂
Or a video titled “ A day in the life of a Mennonite mom with two kids “
No no…. Keep surprising us
Your videos brighten by day thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤and I love the longer videos like this ❤ your farm is just beautiful ❤
So nice of you, thank you for your feedback. I'll keep that in mind for the future
I agree... riding in back of farm truck as a kid was awesome!
Precious! I love everything about this video! Just livin real family life ❤️
Zander is adorable and growing so fast. He reminds me of Opie from the Andy Griffith show.
Yes he does! 😀
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOUR ARBOR! YOU WANT THE BEAUTIFUL CHARACTER OF EACH BRANCH GOD CREATED! THAT'S WHERE THE BEAUTY LIES
I've been married to my husband for 35 years and we are still trying to figure it out, it's something you have to work at everyday. I love the rustic look of the arbor!
a never ending process. 😀
I love the harbour!❤ so much joy watching your videos and family life!
Now I wanna make an arbor. Xander and Lexi sooooo cute - love her blond hair. Thx for sharing. ♥️
You two CRACK ME UP!!!❤❤❤ & You all walk with Christ. Great in my book!!❤❤
Lexi girl is adorable 🥰
New subscriber. Looking forward to your channel and journey. God ☦️ bless you all and many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 🙏🏻 ☦️ 💙 nice music 🎶 and prayers with in!!
Thank you and welcome here! Honored to have you
Your videos are incredible. I think you should be at 100,000 subscribers already. If not 500,000!! Maybe change the name of your channel. I'm a cradle Catholic & will never change. Nurse for 48 years, & Eucharistic Minister. I take my patients Communion that are in rehab. What a joy! You walk with Christ. God bless
I appreciate that, however I'm not anxious to grow too much 😀 nurse for 48 years, that's amazing! God bless your work
Really cool arbor, you have lost a lot of weight you look amazing, love your videos love your family
Really funny, Jeannine! Nolan is hilarious and Xander tries to be serious & the grown up in the group, but makes me laugh as well - and of course, Lexie has the most infectious laugh and the little pooch - you have to remind us about the Corgi, as I can't remember his name. They are all so game! I could do with Xander and his folding saw - although I have one, I could just do with a strong lad to sort out my shrubs around the garden, keep him happy for a few days!
I think the arbor looks great and of course once you have some vines - there used to be a trumpet vine I especially loved in Michigan , and how about some good climbing roses, you really won't see the wonky bits, besides the plants probably prefer the natural wood to planed & treated lumber. Wonder if I missed your jaunt to Hawaii?
Hope you're all well up there & Happy Birthday, Nolan, for next week - and Happy 4th of July tomorrow! (Sorry for typos, I'm miles from the screen!!) G
Wonderful!! The cuts at the end Hilariious but the "Jeannine private information censored" carcked me right up! Oh Zander you are the best! Much Love from Prison Island Xo
😅 he gave away last name (which in trying to keep more discreet) and our whole address 😅 have a great week!
Anything you do as a family is wonderful ❤
You are a brave woman, wonderful mom. Great teamwork between you and your husband ❤️
I appreciate that I’m also married to a man who can do it all! I don’t think people that don’t have a handy husband have no idea how much easier that it makes the lives of us who do!!!
Yes!!!! I agree 😀
my mom told me marry a man who is half the man my father is and watching you i agree Beautiful family
Thank you for the compliment. He truly is our rock
Purple hyacinth bean would look lovely on the arbor. Then save seeds to plant next year.
Oh Yay, look at you!! You go Girl!! Whoop, whoop
😂
Wow, that Xander is quite a worker, he's been taught well!
I loved this video! The garden project was a family affair and reminded me of when our children were young. :) You sure have got great helpers there (and a budding videographer)!
😆 thank you. He does enjoy when I hand him the gopro
What a wonderfully sweet family video! ❤
Jeannine, you’re a woman of many talents! I love that you’re not afraid to get in there and just give it a go. I want to be more like you! And your videography inspires me. I do photography and your videos make me want to branch out and give videography a try. As always, thanks for sharing a peek into your life. Sure love your family!
Thank you! And that's wonderful you are into photography. It's so invigorating! I feel I used to be more intentional to get the photos, but as a busy mom you just grab and shoot a lot. Whatever moments you come upon. Best wishes with your photography!
Janine, I'm very impressed with how you did a lot of the work on the arbor yourself!
Thank you 😊
When I saw you trying to start the chainsaw, I appreciated my Ryobi 40 volt battery powered chainsaw even more!😂It's amazing what that chainsaw and I have done and can accomplish! My husband has a gas powered chainsaw for the BIG jobs. The Ryobi feels safer to me! Hopefully I won't dismember myself right away. I sure enjoy cutting down volunteer mulberry trees and cutting off branches! Hubby says me with a chainsaw is dangerous😂
That's what I need! Battery is the way to go. I'm glad you have that 😀 had fun cutting down your mulberry trees 🙂
Y'all have a great marriage and are amazing parents. And y'all love the Lord and are strong servants for him. I love how y'all worked together building the arbor.. the kids are growing so fast. Love the video❤
You definitely need to wear helmets. Im glad you put them on the kids tho. Road accidents happen fast and are life changing.
Love the arbor and the video! The end is so good when you each share your sides of the arbor stories!😂 It's all good!!
Lol. Thanks!
Laugh I did laugh! A precious family
I love the video and glad you left the out takes in. Everyone had a part in the family arbor. The small branches are special because Zander cut those. Good job family!🎉❤
I love this so much!
That’s a Mennonite or (Amish)man for you taught to work hard and the ability to get things done.
Oh my goodness what a fun project you and Nolan completed and I absolutely love the interaction between you 2. You all are an amazing couple. The kiddos looked like they were really enjoying themselves. Take care sweet family, God bless you❤️
Thank you, I count my blessings multiple times when i come to Nolan. He's my rock. Thanks for being here!
Thank you for posting about how different people communicate. I am married to an engineer and they definately think "outside the box". Most of the time we are not in the same book let alone on the same page when it comes to communicating. I am glad to hear and see that your love for each other reflects God's love for us. His ways are not our ways and his thought are not our thoughts. You and your husband show the fruit of the spirit. Again thank you for being SO encouraging to so many. Most of us who just watch and may not comment much.
Thank you for the encouragement and also sharing about your engineer man. 😀 I can imagine his brain thinks on another dimension 😀 God bless you!
Whosoever hath a wife that's not afraid of a chainsaw and is of the artistic mind is a blessed man 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤣
😅😆 thanks for the laugh!
It’s gonna be a beautiful garden!! Love the arbor!!
You are an inspiration! I have been wanting a pergola in an area next to our house but I’m really thinking that an arbor looks yours would be great. And I should be able to find trees like yours in our sugar bush area. Thanks for showing this - it looks great! Really enjoy your videos and the music that you put with them!
What a sweet video! 🥰 As always, your family is adorable and I appreciate the video.
Love this video!! True life n the journey of blissful married life.
Blissful with bumps 😅
Awwe love it, you have a gorgeous family and I always tell my daughter if he makes you laugh and you 2 laugh and pray together its a winning recipe.
A winning recipe. I like that! And so true
Hi Mennonite mom. A Mennonite mom here. When I saw you trying to start the smaller chainsaw, i was thinking are you sure it’s on, On not off. I’ve done that a few times and had to call my husband in defeat. Just a few days ago my husband was going to wash out his livestock trailer and he wasn’t able to start the pressure washer. When he told me it crossed my mind to ask if it was On for sure but I didn’t. Knowing him he give it all he had. That evening I knew he wanted to tell me something and didn’t know how it seemed like, and finally he said the pressure washer was on off. I just started laughing, all in fun. I wanted to roll around the grass laughing I thought it was so funny. He’s like why are you laughing, well congratulations I said for passing the human test.
🤣🤣🤣 oh my word this is funny! Thanks for the great laugh. Who knows, maybe it was off for me? Lol
Loved this video start to finish. You and Nolan are blessed beyond measure.
Thank you so much! Yes, I try not to take my family and life for granted. It can be easy to do
Pretty nice. Yes, communication takes work.
There were just so many precious moments in this vlog to count. I love the arbor. The children are absolutely adorable. Lexi's first time seeing a frog!❤
Children make life magical ✨️
"Father chose not to comment" what a hoot 😂
Good job on the rustic arbor!
😆 he reads too much 🤣
Poor dog running....😂
The white dress with blue flowers is very nice!
😀 I should've put her in the back with the children. But she likes to run. Get energy out
I needed a 30-minute laugh. Thank you! Lexi can keep everyone entertained for hours on end. We rode in the back of Dad's pick up all the time around town (not on the highway, though). Most of the time, we were standing up. We would face forward, leaning on the top of the cab for stability. I literally just came in from using my chainsaw. I wasn't building anything, though. I was just cutting up some downed limbs to put in the firepit for tonight.
Good for you! 🫡 they are fun to run but always scare me a little. Riding on the back of your dad's pickup... so many memories!
I love your Arbor, I would leave it as is. You and your husband worked well together. yes, couples have different ideas but working together and coming to a medium is always a win. I am soo encouraged to try that. Can't wait to see your garden in motion. ❤🙏🙏
Thank you 😀 you're so right!
Loved the video and the arbor and oh how I miss riding in the back of a truck, we use to sit on the tailget , my father always went slow when we rode on there. Oh the good old days, i sure do miss them. Take care sweetie, love and hugs from Ephrata ❤🤗
Yes tailgate sitting. So much fun! Hello to Ephrata
I think the arbor looks great!
I love the harbor. Nolan is so precious. He's such a good man. You fix good Jeannine! Zander is gonna take your channel over. He's great. He's gonna be a good husband one day like his dad. Fun video.
I tell him if he half the man his dad is, he will be a good one 😀 he thinks that's funny
Oh I just LOVE your family.
you're too kind. thank you!
Im glad you show real life farm kids, our kids love to ride in the back of the truck, that is of course with an older child who knows to stay seated like Xander. Love your arbor .
Best place to ride! Aye?
Loved this video!!!❤❤❤
Oh, my Heart watching Lexie play with the dog!
🤩
I look so forward to your videos! I just love you and your family 😊.
Thank you so much!!
Beautifully filmed. Joan
I love the arbor 💛💛💛
Ahh. My favourite family is back , you have such a beautiful garden , love this video , Zander and Lexi cam great 😊 greetings from the one across in England
Thank you. I can't believe you complimented my weedy garden. Especially given the fact that you come from the land of BEAUTIFUL Gardens. Take care!
LOL you remind me of me trying to start the lawnmower and weed wacker 😅. The only difference is that I can never get either of them started. 😵💫😏
Your arbor looks just fine, it has that outdoor rustic look. Wasn't that what you were going for?
Love this! Myself included lol
LOL, I hear you. Starting things with a pull start is rarely a go for me. It's like they KNOW who's starting them. LOL. Yes, rustic is the key word here. 😂
Xander is so grown up now. I love how he takes care of his sister in the back of the truck. Also he is learning how to use tools. Boys need tools!
Truth! Boys and tools go together like boats on water 😀
The arbor turned out great! Nice family project! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love it !!
Looks good ❤
Your Arbor is lovely!
This video is awesome ❤
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing.
Had fun with this one we get marriage conflicts as well but we learn. Great little helpers you had there. I laughed at at end with outakes with Zander
😅 he keeps our life interesting. Marriage conflicts are inevitable aren't they?
@@theMennoniteMom Yes they are lol
I remembered disagreeing with my husband about frozen chicken. It was bad and it was right near time we left to go to my parents in another state at the time. I called my parents and saying we are not coming fighting about chickens. My dad called us with stern voice stop fighting over nonsense get into the car and drive here. When we arrived as soon as my mom seen us she started laughing at us for fighting over frozen chicken. My dad told my mom to stop laughing.
Love your channel
You're a lovely family
Great video, beautiful family. Lexie has so much fun right now. Adorable age. Zander is such a big guy now! Thank you for sharing your family. Grammy from Texas
I love your determination and smile. At the same time. I love challenging myself - which is getting harder a 63.
I’m old so riding in the back of a truck was our only mode of transportation….
You two are so funny❤
It's nice you working together, and spending time together!
Great video ur arbor looks nice real rustic have a nice vacation ❤❤😊
This was awesome
As always, JEANNINE love your videos. The kids are growing. They’re both beautiful. God is good. He bless you with two beautiful children and an amazing husband JEANNINE have a great fourth see you next week God bless you and your family always, your friend Kathy❤❤❤❤
Thank you Kathy, I thank God for my little family. So blessed. Happy 4th to you as well!
The arbor looks wonderful great job as a family. It's great to see the kids enjoy nature and a country life love the innocence. You n Nolan make a beautiful couple. God bless
Thank you so much. 💓 Blessings!
I was having a bad day today, everything went wrong … then I watched this video…and your video 🥰. Xander and Lexi loving life on a summer day on the farm riding in the back of the pick up while mom drives to where and do what?.. To help her cut down trees with a chainsaw!?!?!! 😂🤣. I loved every minute of this video! And Nolan to the rescue! Xander is growing up so fast and Lexi is at such a fun age now too. You always put a smile on my face and this video was perfect timing today 💖😆. Thank You….
😆 I hope your weekend goes better. And I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Children truly make life more interesting
So nice to see EVERYONE working together to make the arbor. Loved seeing the kids enjoying themselves on the farm. Lexi is always having fun (the frog and in the high grass) and always showing her beautiful smile. I can't believe how much she grows with every video. Xander, using the skills he's acquired was quite impressive. He's going to grow up to know how to do everything and make some blessed girl a wonderful husband, especially with his loving nature.. So glad you and Nolan found each other!! God bless and keep you!!!💕💕 Love and hugs!!💕💕
Thank you! I hope he grows up to be like his dad 🙂 I'm so grateful for my family and God leading is together. God bless you thanks for being here!
You should put Jasmins on each end of the arbor
So I am thinking by the third arbor you and Nolan should both be on the same page. 😂 (Too optimistic?) I think this one is beautiful and could be the start of your grape adventures if you are so inclined. Your miscommunications are probably "Men are from Venus and women are from Mars" things. He is trying to go from A to B in the most direct line and you are following the Spirit maybe. Beauty matters to you as well as results. What you feel inspired to do matters more than a checklist, etc. You two have plenty of years to have that discussion with Bible in hand. When are we listening to the Spirit and when are we just undisciplined? God never said, "It is not good for woman to be alone." But He did say it is not good for man to be alone. That nurturing, creative, beauty loving thing is needed even if it can be overlooked practically speaking, right? What a blessing your "ordinary days" are. Seeing the pup chase the truck out to the field and Lexi enjoying the pup, the frogs, her brother, excursions with Dad, rides in the back of the truck, hiding in tall grass, are all such treasures for you and her. Xander is becoming a real farm hand and sawing down trees, too!!! Love that he is building his skills with videography. Glad you gave up on the chain saw. Loose chain is a real hazard from what my Dad said. Enjoy your vacation and thanks for sharing!!!
Loved your thoughts and wisdom. Thank you for sharing, I can tell you think deeply in the matters of life. I treasure that. Yes, I'm not sure if men and women will ever quite be on the same page even when we think we are 😀 it keeps life interesting. Thank you for your wisdom and God bless!
I love riding in the back of a truck!
I really like the arbor. I can imagine it with a vine on it.
