The only advice I think you need is you need to slow WAY down and pay attention to the little things laying around, and also to read the pop up instructions which explain how you use things. You passed over a whole lot of things that could have helped you and even given you permanent stat upgrades. But glad you liked it! Also, you'll want to collect a lot of apparently useless stuff because you can use it as scrap in crafting. Enjoy!
I've been watching so many new people doing lets plays of Fallout 4 after watching the tv show and the one thing they all do is rush through everything. This is not a game they are going to finish in an hour or two. lol. I suspect a lot of them won't have that much staying power.
I've watched about half a dozen of them and most of them are not really playing the game at all, they are rushing through it because it's the flavour of the moment and onto the next hype. I watched one girl playing with a suite of mods and actually playing it.
"War... War Never Changes", is the iconic line that was first uttered in the very first Fallout game by actor Ron Perlman. Ron is the acter who played as Hellboy in the OG Hellboy movies and also Clay Morrow, the President of the Sons Of Anarchy MC on the TV show Sons Of Anarchy. He also did the intros for Fallout 2, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, and he was also the voice of the news anchor reporting about the bombs being dropped on the TV during the beginning of Fallout 4. Bethesda decided to use the voice actor who voices the main Male character for the intro in Fallout 4, which I understand, but Ron Perlman is the true voice for the Fallout franchise. Hopefully, Bethesda will go back to Ron to voice the intro for the fifth game in the franchise, but then again, by the time that game is released, Ron will have probably died of old age.
This game is an absolute masterpiece and you should definitely play the entire thing. I have played every single ending possible, and still wish I could re play it for the first time ever.
Fallout 4 was my first fallout game, So it has a special place in my heart. I’ve since played 3 and 76, new Vegas is on the list and the show has been great. I love this franchise!
You really need some quality update mods to enjoy New Vegas these days. Game runs like shit on modern hardware. Check out Viva New Vegas for the best ones.
yeah, Fallout New Vegas Modded > all other fallout games modded however playing the base game can be harder for younger audiences and especially this generation with their dopamine addiction, low attention span and lack of imagination, that's why fallout 4 is more for this generation. unfortunately. But New Vegas is by far is the deepest, best written, and "real feeling" game. coming across a deathclaw in new vegas feels like running into a deathclaw irl. terrifying... not like fo4 where you can sprint and shoot like the doom slayer lol. But even then with mods you can get new vegas to have better gameplay than 4 (even with mods on fo4.) my Modded game has cyberpunk like gameplay if I really want to play that way, tried modding fo4 the same way, just couldn't. fallout 4 is the best graphics/gameplay/UI at base for sure fallout 3 is the OG, most fallout fans started from here so it has a place in our hearts, it was also like nothing else at the time, that feeling it gave me was unmatched until I played new vegas a few years later. The gameplay for 3 is the worst of all the modern fallout games however it does not matter because the vibe. world and story immerse you more than enough.
I was almost yelling "Stop when talking to Codsworth, if you want to progress". Not to mention "Youi missed the baton and the second gun in the Vault"...
“Quit barkin” lmao If dogmeat barks in this game it means hes trying to show you something youre missing or alerting you to enemies. He doesnt just bark.
Enjoyed the video, so cool to see all the people trying Fallout 4 for the first time. Glad you've had fun so far! 😃 Also yes some things you'll get used to over time, but it's definitely worth it. And for VATS, check controls in the Settings, you have it and you can use it anytime. ;) I especially love the game, bc it gives you a LOT of freedom to actually do things in your very own way at any given moment + decisions have actual consequences, good and bad + being sarcastic in dialogs is just the best. :P
I just started playing this again (first time since it came out). Playing it on survival with the Life In The Ruins modpack. It's such a freaking blast.
You can double crank the Laser Musket. There is VATS it is accessed by the LB on the controller, or Q on the keyboard. It lets you aim shots, but it is not required. The Critical shot is through VATS, though and is useful when you really need to hit your opponent.
The first Fallout in the series to include base building. Also has companions feature with can be expanded with mods. The availability of tons of high-quality mods is mind blowing. Has great replay ability. Thanks for sharing your experience. New update coming out April 25th, 2024, that fixes bugs and adds new content. Thinking of buying game. Wait until then.
Not that it matters much at this point, but I think Fallout 76 was released more recently than Fallout 4. I believe that 4 was single-player only, 76 is multi-player eligible, and there are a bunch of expansions for both. Regardless, glad you’re enjoying the series buddy!
My first Fallout was 3. That game was tough lol. Once I got going I started understanding how to survive but man the first few days I was dying over and over. 4 is much much easier for newcomers.
Im only a few minutes in but thought i might give you a spoiler you can easily never find or realize but the iritating salesman becomes a goul and you can find him in game and he remembers you and has diologe
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Fallout. I never played original games (Fallout 1 and 2) cause it's not my genre, but my story is that I was trying to play Fallout 3 back when it came out, but I couldn't since I'm a PC player and PC port of Fallout 3 back in the days was terrible. So after trying to play it and facing many bugs, glitches and crashes, I just decided to quit trying and moved on to other games, like Far Cry 2 at the time, or Metro 2033, Stalker Call of Pripyat and so on. But after decades, few years ago I decided to try to play Fallout 3 for the first time since many years and.. I didn't liked it. Maybe because I played so many other games that, in comparison to which Fallout 3 feels like a cheap knockoff, maybe it's something else, I don't know, but I played Fallout 3 for one week, was trying to learn the game and it reminded me of Stalker made by our guys from GSC Gameworld. And since I'm a very good at Stalker games, like I know all of the original Stalker games like a back of my hand, I figured that I can get good at Fallout 3 too. Yeah, that is not what happened. What happened is that, I tried to play this game. I tried to learn this game, all of it's mechanics and I was thinking that I was doing it the right way but in the end Fallout 3 just became unplayable for me for many reasons. For example, game gives me a quest to go at this location and do this. I go there and all of the sudden the marker from the map disappears. I was thinking that I disabled it somehow but nope, it just gone by itself. Other times it didn't even gave me any marker at all, and I had to wander around the wastelands, trying to find my goal and what I should do according to the quest description. Other times I just couldn't get a better gear or weapon to get through some sections of the game, cause they were hard to get through and I was simply stuck. I was trying to do a quick saves to make my life easier, but they were crashing the game. I was trying to speedrun my way through those hard sections but it didn't helped. And in the end I just gave up. I was exhausted, I lost a passion for playing any video game and I just deleted the game from my hard drive and took a very long break. Like a month or so, cause I felt burned out. And that is why I never got in to Fallout after playing Fallout 3 and that is why I'm not a fan of the game. Cause, when you start, from the looks of it the game feels good, but the more you digging in to the game, the more problems with it you discover, and at the end you just gets frustrated. And yes, I'm good at video games, but Fallout 3 feels broken and unfinished in comparison to millions of other games that I played. p.s - Sorry for the long comment. Just had to share my story of why I'm not a fan of this series of games.
lol seems like you def have not played Skyrim with the lack of looting and checking everything in every room. Though I do get that some folks are not as loot crazy as I am 😂
Lol damn man. You need to slow TF down! This isn't CoD it's an RPG. There is story, there is dialog, there are things to collect and see. Like I know all our attention spans are crap now days. But damn. Just running through every area like it's a shooter gallery and walking away from conversations then wondering why you can't progress, Dogmeat trying to show you things and your just like stop barking lol.... this game won't be fun for you
Wow when i see somebody play a rpg or shooter with gamepad + they cant even look around and so on..i cant watch.. its too painfull. Just play with mouse and keyboard a LOT MORE ACCURATE. Turning like a robot that is lost and isnt even looking down or up or looting or anything. :) What games do you play? :)
This game is a masterpiece. And with all the PC mods you can get hundreds of hours of additional playtime, i'm at 813 hours and the game is still not boring
The story line . yeah i ain't reading that. Not the kinda gamer you are. hahahahahahaha not watchin anymore . enjoy half the content or less. if you want. you paid for it.
not really , now he can do a video on the before and after differences. That is just extra content , clicks and views for the man. How is that pretty dumb?
He is playing a straight un-modded game, so the update won't affect him at all. It's those that mod the game with F4SE script extender that will have to go through the modocalypse after about 3 or 4 years of zero updates to FO4.
Fallout 4 has terrible writing, and 76 is just terrible in general. If you want what Fallout is really about, play the first 2 games. They are fantastic. 3 is okay.
1. Why are you not mentioning New Vegas 2. Expecting someone with modern gaming sensibilities to just jump into an isometric point-and-click RPG from the 90s is just silly
@majimasmajimemes1156 Yeah, New Vegas is pretty great, and is it really that difficult to play a top-down iso RPG? I guess it would take some people a while to get used to. I also suppose I'm biased because most of what I played in the 90s and early 2000s were isometric RPGs.
The only advice I think you need is you need to slow WAY down and pay attention to the little things laying around, and also to read the pop up instructions which explain how you use things. I put 750 hrs into it when it came out and didn't finish it lol. Just started a new game this week.
Me watching him run through everything without searching every body/container/room 😡
Same, and I'm out.
Fallout 4 was my first fallout game, So it has a special place in my heart. I’ve since played 3 and 76, new Vegas is on the list and the show has been great. I love this franchise!
Nice, saving the best fallout game for last. 😉

Going to replay it next week when the update comes out. The Show was perfection

I played this when I was 22. It was awesome I loved it. It doesn't feel that long ago. But it was because I'm turning 31 now. Damn...
Good choice dude! Im actually recently playing the game again myself too lol
The first Fallout in the series to include base building. Also has companions feature with can be expanded with mods. The availability of tons of high-quality mods is mind blowing. Fallout 3 is better for the story and feel that even though older the mechanics are good.

I payed $4.50 NDZ for my copy cause it's $9 for a pre-owned copy at EB games and I got it on a 3 get one half price
lol seems like you def have not played Skyrim with the lack of looting and checking everything in every room. Though I do get that some folks are not as loot crazy as I am 😂
21 min in and i see you don't loot.
Oooh man. Play fallout 2... You will never forget that black humour
With Bethesda games you do have to be a bit patient
I dont do quests in fallout 4. I play the game like minecraft.
Lol damn man. You need to slow TF down! This isn't CoD it's an RPG. There is story, there is dialog, there are things to collect and see. Like I know all our attention spans are crap now days. November 10, 2015
14 bucks for a almost 80 bucks game 🙂👍
should've started with new vegas
r1 for vars
Spoiler alert Fallout 4 is not the most recent Fallout , Fallout 76 is the most recent game
True but it's the most recent single player "main game". BGS' bread and butter are single player open world "rpgs". 76 isn't single player.
you are gonna be really mad when i tell you that you could have gotten the base game and all the dlc on Steam for 9 bucks
This game is a masterpiece. And with all the PC mods you can get hundreds of hours of additional playtime, i'm at 813 hours and the game is still not boring
Go back to playing Battlefield 1, join up with me ,I'll make ya a killer 😂
The story line . yeah i ain't reading that. Not the kinda gamer you are. hahahahahahaha not watchin anymore . enjoy half the content or less. if you want. you paid for it.
