    Been a fan of my Day Pack and love the refinements the new one has. I noticed they removed the front compartment's slip pocket and then changed the two elastic pockets from the main compartment into a 3rd slip pocket to give more space on top of removing the internal water bottle pocket in exchange of an external. The fleece lining, floating laptop pocket, and all the little improvements make this very tempting to replace my original one since I was planning on picking up the new Slim Pack for lighter carry days.

      Thank you for watching and glad to hear you have enjoyed using the original day pack! The improvements are definitely really nice and definitely a tough choice between that and the slim. that one looks pretty cool but maybe just a bit to minimal for me :) haha

    I was deciding between Bellroy Classic 2 and Aer day pack. Ended up getting the Bellroy since I like the looks better.
    Prizefighter looks good too but the big logo and grey color on the straps bothered me.
    Aer 2 looks great but the glossy front makes me prefer the Bellroy more.
    Have you considered doing reviews on Tumi backpacks?
    I ordered a Tumi Alpha Bravo Nellis backpack. I think it fits well in the EDC category but definitely more pricey. Worth taking a look!
    Btw you should also check out the ISM backpack.

      Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice between this the bellroy and the prizefighter pack! Hope you enjoy using the bellroy a lot, I really like the look of that one and harness is great! Good suggestion on the tumi bags, I’ve heard some great things about them and I’ve never been crazy about the aesthetic but I would definitely want to try one out in the future!:)

    As usual great review. I am very impressed with this bag, at $140 I think that's a very reasonable price point. I'm curious about that arcido packing cube you use, I love it. Looks like a good size, I want one. Is that the arcido medium packing cube? When I go to their site I can't tell. I want a cube I can fit a at least one pair of pants and one shirt into. Looks like you have more in your arcido cube though.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I definitely agree on the price point, really good value overall for such a solid bag! And the packing cube I have here is the Oxna compression cube, definitely my favorite at the moment! It will be able to hold quite a bit, I normally have a few pairs of pants and shirts. If you pack a little more minimally it’s also nice that it’s double sided so you can store your used clothes separate from the clean ones. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer!:)

    Great review, love your videos. Do you think the day pack 2 would fit a plastic lunch container comfortably? In addition to a 16" MBP, 11"iPad Pro , cable/dongle, pens and 1 notebook. Cheers

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I think that would depend on the volume of the lunch box. My guess is that with the items you mentioned it will be a pretty tight fit even for a smaller lunchbox since the bag is pretty slim and rigid. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

    I have the Tech Pack v1 and that thing is huge. That was my only gripe since I didn't mean to buy a travel pack. It's rated around 18 L, but I would say it's actually 26 L at least. I hope v2 is more compact. I'd love to see that video.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching! I agree the tech pack definitely felt bigger than 18l, the new version is a little more compact but still not 18l in my opinion even though it’s listed at 17 on the site, closer 22 based on what I’ve been able to fit in it. I should have the full review ready soon and I will he including a side by side with the original tech pack :)

    I'm honestly more curious about the Slim Pack than anything else (even though I'm going to probably get the Day Pack 2 myself as a matter of prudence) since I do find myself a bit charmed by its apparent degree of minimalism, and there's nobody reviewing it sufficiently in depth online yet. I'd just like to know what compromises it might make beyond the obvious less space/no bottle holder type stuff, like to say ability to stand upright or comfort of the carry without the back padding, etc.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому +1

    Are there any other bags in this price range that do a good job standing upright? Very underrated feature that is super useful for working on the go, enough to convince me to pick this over the Flight Pack 2.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and I definitely agree this is a nice feature to have! As far as other bags that stand this well, I can’t think of too many that are designed to actually stand up like this one is, but a few that have a more rigid shell and flatter bottom that did a good job were the standard luggage co daily and the Targus mobile VIP bag although I think the day pack is still a better all around bag than both. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer!:)

    Is there enough space for an iPad Pro in the main compartment with a MacBook, notebook, and ANC Headphones Case, or would the Tech 2 be a better fit for that set up?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and good question! I think depending on the size of the headphone case and the notebook you could make it work and there would still be space in the front organizational area. With that being said the tech pack might give a little more flexibility and it’s nice that it has the additional padded sleeve that might be a good spot for your iPad. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому

    Ok after watching many many videos on AER products I am down to this one or the commuter brief as both should fit all I need. Which would you recommend? My biggest concern with the commuter is the short strap I keep hearing about. I would jump on the slim pack but there is no water bottle holder.

    • @dannypacks

      Thank you for watching! I haven’t had a chance to use the Titan but it reminds a bit of the ridge backpacks which are pretty solid. Hi.
    Could you advise if I can carry a lunch-cylinder that's 9" tall and 6"wide, along with a 13" laptop, in this bag for work, and also use it for occasional hiking?
    I really like this bag for its aesthetics and organization, but fearing may be small.
    I have been carrying a Doughnut Macaroon(M) for the past 4 years. In it, I carry my laptop occasionally, my lunch-cylinder every weekday, and take it out for day hikes when the opportunity presents. Plus, miscellaneous items. Could you advise if Aer Daypack2 can do similar or better?

      Definitely a tough choice here! Do you mean the Nomatic backpack or travel pack (the expandable version)? Overall I like the aesthetic and build quality of this one a little better and it is slightly more comfortable but the Nomatic travel pack which is the one I recommend is a little more versatile as it has a lot of great organizational options, a comfortable and removable waist belt and the flexibility it has as a travel bag with its expand ability is really useful. Hope that helps a bit and if there are any additional questions I can help answer please let me know!:)

      Traveling Salseros Great! Yes the Nomatic travel pack. I agree with the flexibility and the expand ability it can offer. I’ve used that bag in my recent travel and it’s superb. I have that but I always feel that It’s kinda overkill for my day to day office work. That’s why I’m thinking of getting a smaller bag. I’m eying on this bag (Aer daypack 2). But not sure if I should opt to Tech pack 2 or not. Any advise on that? :)

      Good question! I can definitely understand wanting something a little smaller or more minimal for edc. I won’t know for sure until I test the tech pack 2 but it seems like it might be a little big for what you’re looking for and the day pack may be a better option. from what I saw with the original tech pack, it’s silhouette will be about as large as the Nomatic.

    How is this bag for a small binder or two and a small lunch thermos?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and good question! I think it would depend on the thickness of the binders and the size of the thermos but I think it could start to become a bit tight since the bag is pretty slim especially if you plan on carrying a laptop as well. It might be worth checking out the tech pack 2 or the incase city commuter if you need a little bit more space. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)

      Traveling Salseros Thank you for your help. I ordered the Day Pack 2 and have plans to return it if it’s too small. If it’s too small I will get the Tech Pack 2. Thanks for the reply and great content.

    Can you help me decide between Aer Day Pack 2 and City Pack

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  9 місяців тому +1

      Thank you for watching! Definitely a tough choice between the two and they have a pretty similar layout / capacity so it will primarily come down to aesthetic preference (personally I prefer the look of the city pack) and the city pack also has the additional zippered pocket on the front and a side carrying handle

    I was wondering if this can be used for highschool.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  9 місяців тому

      Thank you for watching! It can work but it’s fairly slim so it won’t be able to hold too many textbooks and folders, the tech pack 2 or 24l pro pack might be better options from aer

    I have day pack 1 worth upgrading?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and good question! I think that depends on how important the laptop sleeve is for you. There are some other differences (stands up better on its own, top pocket has fleece lining, luggage pass through) but to me the laptop pocket being suspended and adding a fleece lining is the big upgrade. If that’s not as big of a deal the original version still holds up pretty well. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

    Is it worth upgrading from the DayPack version 1 to Version 2?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and good question! I think that really depends on how much extra value the water bottle pocket and suspended and fleece lined laptop compartment will add. If those are two things that are super important for you in a daily bag it may be worth the upgrade. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

      @@dannypacks Would you say the Daypack 2 is any roomier than the original? That's worth upgrading for me, the original Daypack was so contoured, its difficult to fit much of anything in it, not to mention even seeing what's inside. I'm looking for a slim minimal bag that is easy for EDC but could also fit a change of clothing or two if need be. Would the Tech Pack or Tech Pack 2 be a better option?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and good question! • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and for the suggestion! I have definitely been curious about Sony’s newer offerings, so far I have stuck with beats as I like a heavier bass sound and for some reason their noise cancellation is the only one I’ve found that doesn’t make me dizzy:) haha
