I’m a simple man. I see a Chase Reeves upload, I put on my Peak Designs Travel Bag and wool boxers, and watch it at 1.5x speed while walking around my suburban living room.
My DayPack version 2 just arrived today! I had the version 1, and I agree that the inside fabric is a big step up. I feel like the bag was almost perfect before, but the updates made it perfect for me!
Is it still just barely too small? My day pack 1 is just a HAIR too small... The new Tech Pack looks to be smaller than the OG, is that the perfect sized bag for a slim, minimal EDC that can also take a change or two of clothing into it while still remaining slim and minimal?
Just got my Aer day pack 2 today. Very impressed. I was looking for 2 days for video reviews on the day pack 2 and nothing. I did not know it was pretty much just released. So I watched your video on the day pack 1 and went for the 2. Then look here you just posted this video today. I'm glad to know I made the right choice. I almost got the Peak Design zip 20, Boundry Supply Errant, or the Nomaic back pack updated new version. After the research the day pack 2 seemed to be the best choice. Thank you for this video.
Bought the original Day pack like 1+ year ago.. but the liner of a strap broke. I reached out to Aer at the beginning of this week and their customer service was awesome. After I sent some info they sent me a Day pack 2 and I got it today. I didn't even expect a full replacement, let alone the updated version. Now that's some great service. This version fixes all the problems I had with the original Day pack. Would recommend!
Im edcing the Peak Design Everyday 30l V2. Its got so much organization and it makes me feel way more organized then I actually am. Gotta love everything peak makes!
@@jaccoborggreve9285 yeah I actually was suprised at how big the 30liter actually is .. When it's fully packed it's extremely heavy. While I like having the extra space... I have felt like the 30 liter is a little too large for daily edc multiple times since I bought it.
You sold me on the NutSac Satchel 11 , I love it because it is made well, but also because I have to somewhat plan what I’m going to bring instead of throwing everything I own in a bag just because I can. A typical day includes an iPad, sun glasses, charger cable, battery bank, lip balm and water bottle. Thanks for the great content and stay groovy.
i discovered Aer because of you and i bought fit pack 2 then i got the dopp kit and cable kit. and i just been looking for a video to see the exact size of the backpack! I'm so in love with the day pack. I cant wait to get it. thank you for your videos much love.
I would love to have a nosey through your cupboards... loads of amazing gear, consistently! 😂😂😂😂😂 Thank you for continuously showing us all these all the time!
I travel between home and office several times per week by metro or bicycle. Literally the only thing I need to bring is my laptop, just so that I have it at home for those WFH days, don’t even need to bring chargers or what not. Definitely gonna check out the Slim Pack.
My daily carry is the peak design 20l. Been using this for more than a year. Im in love with it. Actually it is my 3rd pd bag. Gotta love the functionality of their bags
Been looking for a daily bag to travel with my Topo Designs Core Pack - so I can leave that one at a friend's house or hotel room but also have a smaller backpack to take with. I was waiting on your take on these new Aer updates. The Day Pack 2 is looking like a good contender!
The suspended laptop update is great to see; knowingly because almost every V1 bag of theirs will fail to protect your laptop without an additional sleeve for your laptop. Happened to mine with a short distance "drop" and I never bought a single Aer back again because of the lack of that feature. Hopefully it's good!
Need ideas for 17” pc laptop daily carry brief case / backpack. This segment seems like slim pickings. Dig the topo design global briefcase but run into the “fits most 15”,” negative feedback loop.
Not sure if you knew chase, but Thule just released some new edc and updated some of their old line such as one of my favorite bags of all time, the Thule paramount 24l in red.
I'm glad they listened and actually put the water bottle compartment on the Day Pack. If I didn't just buy a Synapse 25, I would highly consider the Day Pack 2!
Superb video! Between the Travel backpack 2 small and the Tech Backpack, which one do you reckon would be best for a university student and as a carry on?
I love my Day Pack v1. Great EDC! The small compartments are great I barely put anything in the main one. I like that the laptop sleeve is raised on the v2, that’s a great upgrade.
Rock the V2 peak design 10 liter sling. Kinda looking for a 20 liter sling pack that I can easily strap a jacket or 2 to the outside of it, as well as carry my 40oz chute.
Robert Lawrence Bany I was hoping to go to Powell’s to buy some books before heading home. I hope they’re not closed to right before I get to fly home. I’m thinking I’m stuck here until May maybe
Chase, I am using the mystery ranch Prizefighter. Aesthetic wise its exactly what I like. It is nothing too nice with these crazy materials. It is simple and will last forever and I have been loving it.
Still hunting for that unicorn bag.. But always seem to revert to my North Face Surge from 2014. The AER Tech 2 definitely looks like a keeper, but I was wishing it has a new front throw all pocket.
I'm currently rocking the Aer Fit Pack 2 X-Pac version. Imo it's only missing one thing. An external water bottle pocket. A lot of bags I'm seemingly interested in lacks the external water bottle pocket and/or doesn't fall into the 18-20L capacity. I've been eyeing the Bellroy Classic Backpack V2 Premium but it doesn't have an external water bottle again which leads me to believe that maybe I should wait for another version with that feature. Thanks Chase! Keep making videos!
@@withlogin I haven't had the chance to order any of those and I'm still trying to debate on how much I can fit on both. The Aer Day Pack 2 has an external water bottle holder but it's only 14L, the Bellroy Classic Backpack Premium forgoes that feature but has a much more larger space.
I use travel pack 2 as my daily carry. But the small one here seems great for that personal item carry on for the plane. But I guess it doesn’t fit business papers? Just one monocle mag? May need to rethink.
Currently using the Black Ember Forge. It’s cool. Almost too much daily carry space for my needs. Should be good for overnights. New enough I don’t have a good feel yet. I keep falling back to the AER Fitpack 2 with their tech pouch. That duffle opening is just so damn convenient. My negative on it is the interior material feels cheap. Looks like they’ve updated it here so hoping it comes to the rest of their bag updates.
Hey Chase! Love the videos have watched a ton and learned even more from watching you articulate the bags you review. Question; what is the puffer jacket you are wearing? Thanks!
I'm having trouble deciding between an everyday style bag like the Duo and a hybrid style bag like the Prima System. Do you have any videos or resources that talk about the pros and cons of going with a hybrid system beyond the obvious "it's bigger"? I just wonder if there are some gotchas I might not have seen because I don't have access to lengthy testing.
Currently I'm looking for a "bucket bag" where it has a lot of empty space to dump things in but also carry essentials. I just stopped using my Aer Tech Pack v1 and started using the Mission Workshop Shed messenger bag....
Hey Chase Reeves...I bought the Aer Tech pack and it had a "stiffener" insert in one of the pockets. Can you tell me if that would be used for anything specific, or was it just put in there to keep the pack stiff during shipping? Thanks! Love your videos!
I seen that the dimensions on the tech pack 2 is actually a little smaller then then fit pack 2 and original tech pack..does it feel like it is to you side by side?
Chase can you tell me if the shoulder straps of the SLIM PACK are thiner than the ones in the DAY PACK ? I bought the first version of the DAY PACK and I didn’t expect them to be so thick and wide😕 not so much “professional look-like” as the bag is supposed to be
I was waiting for your review about this new bags form aer. I usually carry a 15 inch laptop with his charger, one or two books, a pencil case and my lunch. Do you think it's better day or tech pack for all this stuff?
I love the quality and craftmanship ofAer bags. But their big flaw on their bags is the lack of side compartments, or secret compartments from the outside. You can't take anything out the bag while with it in your back. So if you left something in your car, you have to take the backpack off and put on the floor to get to the damn keys out. So many backpacks have though this well, like Boundary Supply and so many others have these secret backpacks pockets from the back but not Aer. This would be a big improvement for them.
Hi Chase, like you videos very much, as my basic daily carry I’m using Brooks Sparkhill Backpack 15lt. Could you make some reviews of Brooks England bags?
still think my favourite hybrid travel bag is the kathmandu, seen that review and bought it that day. great for a my life style of flying to and from work every 8 days. its perfect for my cars and ass magazines (love it)
Shout out to Aer for designing these. Check em out here: bag.gg/AerWork. 🤙🍻
And for those asking about the jacket, airloft hoodie from bag.gg/WestRise
When you see the words "Aer" and "Chase Reeves" in one video you know it's going to be a good one.
David John meh, I’m over Aer. They’re products are overrated IMO
@@Seanonyoutube Meh. It still doesn't negate the fact that it's objectively a good video, does it?
