    Another extremely helpful demo and explanation. The tip about waiting until after the cast has formed and the gel isn't wet is really helpful.

      Rewatched the video after long, now that my hair has grown it helps to root clip (specially the crown and face forming ones) and keep it away from my face while it dries with added advantage of volume 😀
      Thanks again

      I think my hair has become curlier too. Some bits are loose waves, and some bits are tight spirals. I see some clear 3a ringlets from time to time.

    All boxes ticked: Volume, definition, frizz-free.
    I root clip on occasions with small claw clips. Really gives better volume at the roots. On other wash days I’m just lazy and get done by fluffing out my roots after sotc. I’ll purchase root clips few months later maybe since I don’t have the patience to do it regularly at the moment.

    I love your hair❤️
    I had a question, my hair is in between 2c to 3a almost like urs probably and high porosity but only curls formed are in front of my face , the crown part till the mid length my curls are all flattened and bland how do I put this there's nothing wrong with the styling or application of products.
    Should I get a haircut but the curls at the back are not forming and are just thin strands with irregular pattern.
    I'm also suffering with hairloss so my scalp is visible too much

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 роки тому +3

      Curls don't form in the beginning. You'll need to curl train for hair for a while before you see curls at the top sections.
      You'll also need to perfect your styling and focus on your scrunching and plopping. This helps with the curls on top. Length is definitely a problem with 2c hair. It gets weighed down and the curls at the top don't form. You'll need to embrace it for now and hope for improvements as time passes and you get better at styling your hair.
      Although I did post about this on instagram please have a look.
      I have a video on hair loss that you might want to watch. Figure out the cause and go from there.

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 роки тому +2

      Ahhh I see. Check your technique and see that you're going right in all the steps. Dampness, sea weed like feeling and gel cast are on point.
      If not, style by sectioning this way. 2 quadrants at the bottom and 3 sections on top. Right left and middle. See if it makes a difference.
      Imo you don't have to style and wear your hair on the same part. The inner bits will always look better.
      I just find it easier to style on a middle part.

    Heyy Michelle idk if you remembered me but I talked to you a month or so back my problem was that I my waves weren't defined anymore the became straight you told me that I am facing some kind of overload I was using protein mask and moisture shampoo and conditioner I did the test and figured my hair was moti overloaded I watched your clarifying video and tried the reequil dandruff shampoo But just using it didn't work so l used the chealiting technique with the reequil shampoo only but didn't show much results I don't know what I am doing wrong can you suggest something or maybe just a affordable routine I just miss my waves I have (well used to) medium length 2b waves. Please help.

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 роки тому

      Hi Palak! So I looked at our communication. You had asked how to remove buildup without buying more products as it was expensive. My suggestion was to watch the clarifying vs chelating playlist in order to find diy options.
      Maybe there's another thread of communication that I'm missing somehow?
      Your waves lacking the definition that it once had, points to protein moisture balance.
      You'll need to experiment with the all the suggestions I've listed in my protein moisture balance video. It might be a good starting point to access whats happening exactly.
      In order to fix overload, you'll need to clarify and then feed your hair what it requires on each wash day. The stretch test will help.
      You'll find lots of content on protein moisture balance in my playlist on protein moisture balance. Unfortunately most often our hair behaves differently and it's not an easy fix. You'll also find lots of info that might help in my curly hair motivation playlist as well.
      Try to pin point the issue and tackle it accordingly.

      Cantu is not cruelty free. It used to be an OG CG fav because of their price point in the states. I don't think the products are as raved about anymore. They're quite heavy from what I hear. You have far too many better options right now. (Especially if you're living in india and are subjected to ridiculously inflated prices on amazon india).
