Unicorn cut ( they are watching ), step by step to a great look , who needs to go to a parlour ,when you can do it on your own , well done .. super video & cool content .. cheers
Thanks guys! They're watching lol. Everytime I've gone to a parlour, I've never been happy with results. Not to mention, they point out your flaws one by one in order to sell you an additional service or product. You sit there listening to insult after insult, wondering if you should complain about the haircut or keep shut and be polite. Also we don't have any curly hair specialists here in Calcutta so...
Heyyyy thank you so much for the video i remember whenever I used to go for a hair cut they just used to say that since your hair is curly you cannot have a layered cut as it would damage your hair and then I used to get a simple u-cut which is so boring and after this I video I can definately try this on my own
@@bharathibhaskarreddyreddy2548 I tried ribboning with it. You'll see the results in my red border (lal par) saree pics on instagram. It gave me these weird spirals at the mid to bottom lengths. They looked like artificial curls or atleast I didn't like the look of them. I think the look may also be different if you have type 3 hair. If you decide to upside down style, you can make your clumps with the comb. Where the comb really shines is at detangling!
Aww your soo gorgeous 😍😍 And your hairs just compliment you so much that I can't take my eyes off 🥺. Well demonstrated vedio.👍 I really like ypur work. You definitely have worked on your hairs so to get such fabulous curls❤️ After looking at you i am lucky to have curly hairs❣️
Your hair is gorgeous!!! I'm waiting for my shears to come from Amazon. Can't wait to give myself a unicorn cut. First haircut since discovering my hair is wavy.
I finally gathered my courage and tried it today. And it kinda went wrong 😭. Idk if it's because I cut very little but I'm not seeing any visible layers 🥺. There are some hair clumps which are short in the middle. There are also some really long layers in the middle. That's it. I kept my front long seperately. Without them, the other part - It's not like the front have shorter layers than the back or vice versa. One side has long layers in the back, one has "not -so long" hair in the back. It's a mess. And no one can tell that I cut my hair except for the funny shape of it 🥺. Idk what to do, should I try dry cut or should I do the whole thing again. It's just as everyone used to say "layers are not noticable in curly hair" . *Sigh* I messed up 🥲
I cut my hair for the first time and while m happy with the results, I did touch up my hair with a few more hair trims and now it looks much better. So chill, it won’t be perfect the first time, you will learn to do it in a few months.
Ono! Bad hair is so frustrating. I had the same problem the first time I did it, but I love this haircut now. It looks so good every time. You have to be super careful with the top layer - I stopped cutting the third layer, and it looks really good
Just wanted to have a haircut and randomly came across ur vedio, this is amazing loving ur haircut and hair colour too🥺💜can u please mention which hair color ( shade, and brand) u r having
So this video is a little aged now, but would you still recommend this? I have super long hair and it needs some layers to not go flat af and pull the curls down…
If you have a curly hair stylist in your city, it's best to get a professional haircut. I don't exactly have that option here so I cut my own hair at home. It works for me in that sense.
@@MichelleManuel of course. I’ve found one here in my city, but it’s just so expensive🙈 and I think there’s something really nice about being able to cut your own hair. I’ve been doing it through lock downs, but never tried this version 😅 I’m just a very diy kinda girl I guess, and your video inspired me a lot 🤩
@@zeera4377 I totally feel you. I haven't stepped into an establishment for a professional haircut in the last 5 years. It's difficult to hand over that kind of control if you've been burnt in the past. If it's super expensive, that just adds to it right?
Have you updated your video at all. Do you do anything different? I want to attempt a cut and I have been putting off doing one. I actually did a cut last year without the unicorn. I thought maybe a different type of cut would be different. Any advice? I like long layers for sure.
If you're attempting to do this yourself, ask someone at home to even out your bottom layer. Make sure you keep it bottom heavy so that it doesn't look scanty at the bottom. That's the only additional point I'll recommend. Apart from that i stand by this tutorial and all the other steps.
Hi Mitchell..i have been looking for a hair trimming video for too long... my wait was worth it. I have exactly the same kind of hair n of the same length as I haven't trimmed my hair in 2 years now. My only problem is my hair is less dense compared to yours. It is too tapering down at the bottom So how do I go about getting mine done?
Hi Vandana! Great question. So if you have lower density hair, layers are perfect because it will give your hair volume. However at the bottom section leave a good chunk out so that the hair looks blunt and not scanty. Do the layers as shown in the video. After you're done, ask someone at home to make the bottom layer straight/round based on your preference. But make sure you keep enough hair out so that it looks dense at the bottom.
Iv been avoiding layers because i felt it made my hair puffy, but now that my hair is longer im going to try this. Thanks Michelle.
This haircut is for volume! So.... If volume is what you want, go for it! ❤️
My pleasure 😁 happy to see that you liked that comb!
It makes detangling so easy! ❤️
@@MichelleManuel ikr 🤩
That's a lot of steps but the final results make them worth doing🤩
I just tried it. I Love it!
Thank you 🙂 it feels so nice to cut my own hair. I’m always disappointed at the salon 😉 be blessed 😇

If you want more layers at the back, put the ponytail further back on your head, not on the forehead.
