@Novarender Yea man. I'm interested to hear his opinion on the randomness it introduces, most of all. I haven't played competitive for a long time, but trying to predict an opponent transforming their mon into any monotype in the game, while gaining a third stab or adaptability boost, seems like it can be pretty frustrating.
Whenever I saw Flittle in the team lineup I got really excited because I knew I had at least one easy pick from there. My Flittle counter was Prankster Shroodle running Knock Off | Taunt | U-Turn | Protect/Parting Shot Flittle couldn't do damage with Stored Power with any fewer than 2 boosts, so a single taunt would shut it down early and prevent ramp-up, and I always ran Focus Sash so I could survive a boosted hit without dying, to prevent any more setup, or hit it with a knock off to remove Eviolite/Juice for my next mon to take the pick, depending on the situation. Along with deposing Flittle, Shroodle dismantled so many teams in the early game, including Dunsparce before the ban, and continued to be a super viable set when Flittle became prominent.
