    Should have used a vice to test what a gun can do.
    Leather covered jaws and then it's just the gun not the shooter.

    The new .264 139grain ammo shoot ok in my cabine. I can bet them on a standard size target at
    100 meters. But the 123 grain .264 rounds shoot off into oblivion i have yet to land one on paper.

    Was the same with my M41 the 140 gr. .264" were okay but the lighter bullets really sucked :)

      Same here the 139 grain .264 I can get on paper at 100 meters (not a tight group mind you like 3 inch-4 inch and my bore has good rifling) the 123 grain stuff Yeats into oblivion never got one on paper even at 50

      @@justacentrist4147 I think the bullets were flat base also, that probably helps too :)

    I have good results withe the Norma 156 torpedo shape bullet, 8 shots , 2 and a half inch groups at 50 yards, even tho they are .264 diameter bullet, the long torpedo shape bullet grabs more of the rifling , i have a beretta manufactured cavery carbine, with the gain twist rifling.

    I just found some Hornady 160gr bullets. Was looking for your reloading video and couldn’t find it. Can you give me your recipe for the 160gr hornady. So I can see where to start and work up to. Thank you very much!

      @@chateroakfirearmschannel2137 I can't find it anywhere. From what I hear .268 is actually oversized for the rifles, .266 is more what we should be looking for

      268 works great in my carbine. But,,,,, can't find 268 or 267, anywhere. Hornady stopped producing it. !!!! They need to bring it back,or Prii needs to make it. 160,,139,s in this size . 264 doesn't work!!! Already in alit of the Carcano carbines. Come on Pri!!! Come on Hornady!!!

    The original 6,5 mm Carcano bullet was round nosed and flat bottomed.
    The PPU is a 'Spitzer' bullet with a boat tail bottom.
    Do these Spitzer bullets work in the Carcano?

    That carbine's action looks like a pain in the a$$!

    • @justacentrist4147
      @justacentrist4147 Місяць тому

      Carcanos are not a very smooth action. The action was invented in 1891 one of the first smokeless rifles. They kept producing them mostly for economic reasons. They are good and very strong rifles especially for the rounds they shoot just not that smoothest. The quality of the clips has alot to do with it as well
