I heard Pt. Vasantrao Deshpande's original audio, and then I've arrived here.
I was already mesmerized by the blissful complexity of the composition, and then Rahul ji and Mahesh ji performed it for this film; it sounds so organic!
A few timestamps which truly blew me away, I'm noting down here.
0:27- that wonderful Dhaivat from Rahul ji
0:35- a pitch-perfect drut taan
0:48- brilliant synchronisation b/w the two singers
1:05- excellent tonal quality of Mahesh ji
1:16- again, that synced blending
1:26- Rahul ji's excellent sense of beats
1:42- blistering Raga Kedar from presumably, Purbayan ji on sitar
1:59- another breathtaking taan from Rahul ji
2:31- that sense of awe and disbelief on Khansaheb's face
There might be a lot more such tit-bits, though!! 😁
What a masterpiece from Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki, sublime rendition here by Rahul ji and Mahesh ji. 🙏🙏

Thanks to Marathi cinema for creating this almost bilingual movie and preserving our real culture. Also for giving such respect to these songs with Braj Bhasha and even Urdu (Yaar Ilaahi). Sadly Hindi cinema has lost respect for these things and it needs to be preserved by whoever can give it the right treatment.

Is Brij bhasha still in use in either of Uttarakhand or paschim Uttar Pradesh/ Dehlawi. As a modern Prakrit speaker, it's quite fluid for me to understand even alien Prakrit languages. Alike Bengali to every Marathi comes very easy, seeing how the root words don't change much. Is it the same for Brij boli speakers with Marathi? Because we seem to understand it without learning it.

I am a karnatic guy, but I can understand the complexity here. the Hamsaanandi (karnatic raaga) in the beginning is so damn catchy yaar.... and the sudden raaga switches in the song by all the different characters trying to outdo each other... completely mind-blowing. there is a saying in Samskrit: Snaanena shuddhyate, na tu chandanena (bathing cleanses, not perfume). But to this song i think we can say Sangeethena shuddhyate sadaiva jeevane (music always cleanses in life). Awesome song, though i don't understand Marathi!
