      Hi! Thanks for the support! It will most likely be our weekend cruiser/ trail rig! I think they are pretty good tires and from what we hear they last a while if you rotate them every 3-5,000 miles! Small price to pay for the amazing tires + the bonus that they are SILENT

    That is impressive! I recently went up to 35s on my TJ (I have been overbuilt on my 33s for a while!) and I can safely say that lifting 35's is no easy task. I do not want to go taller just because they are so heavy as is, haha! I'd never be able to put a spare on!

  • @christopherziliotto1831
    @christopherziliotto1831 4 роки тому +3

    Random but may be highly significant: please look up using an impact gun on spacers on wheels- In my research the way to have issues with wheels coming off and damaging them is to use an impact gun instead of using a Torque Wrench set to the specific required torque so they aren't loose or too tight. Especially installing spacers. I may be wrong, but I have watched a LOT of videos that say that you shouldn't be using the gun because that increases the chances of damaging and adding dangerous stress to the spacers. Just wanted to have you look into it and be careful... Thanks

    I run Dyna Beads in my mud tires and can’t speak highly enough about the way they perform. The problem with Road Force balancing is yes their balanced now while new but as tires wear or a lug gets ripped gravel mud etc gets hung in lugs now it’s out of balance that’s where the Beads shine. A lot of people put BBs or cheap beads in and have subpar results. But if a high quality bead is used the results are amazing. Just my experience on the subject. I enjoy your channel.

    Sorry but that was dumb. No tire larger than 35’s should go on ANY Jeep stock axles. You need One tons for any tire larger than 35”. Even for a 35” tire you really need 4” of lift and 1.25” body lift. I’d recommend a 4” Savvy or Currie lift with a savvy 1.25” body lift. Nothing but the best all other lift kits don’t compare and are trash. My Savvy lift is the best.

      38’s stock with no lift means you have stock gears and the jeep will be a dam turtle with a bunch of things rubbing. You need at least 5.25” of lift to even run 35’s correctly.

    First and foremost tire balancing WILL NOT cause death wobble. Second those tires will fi and clear on the road with a proper highline fender up front and a good tub trim in the back this will never work offroad without some serious suspension mods like setting it up for a droop style suspension. Real highlines and 3.5” suspension lift and all will be well in the world.

    • @Garagecouple
      @Garagecouple  4 роки тому +2

      Balancing is one of the culprits to death wobble. Ask us how we know! Lol. Anyways, stay along for the adventure, this is just the start of this build.

    • @oneflyryd
      @oneflyryd 4 роки тому

      Furthermore a road force balance is a total waste of money on a Jeep. Balance beads and be done. I am running equal now and have run airsoft BB’s in the past and both don’t care if the tire spins in the bead on the trail they are always balanced. Your Road Force balancing will need redone the first time you spin a bead. 🤦🏼‍♂️

    • @jeremywhitcraft7415
      @jeremywhitcraft7415 4 роки тому +1

      Death wobble is not caused by poorly balanced tires period. If you think it is you are extremely misinformed. The cause of death wobble is worn suspension components and the leading cause is improper Castor settings. If you thought it had something to do with balancing then you probably had a wheel not installed correctly and got it right after the balance job. I’ve been working on solid front axle vehicles for 25+ years and never once has tire balance caused death wobble. Mater of fact I’ve run numerous sets of tires that have never even been balanced and guess what no death wobble.

    • @Garagecouple
      @Garagecouple  4 роки тому +1

      Death wobble is a subjective term. It is caused by a number of different issues. First thing to check is the low hanging fruit such as balance and alignment. We had an issue with death wobble that resolved with a re balance.

    • @Garagecouple
      @Garagecouple  3 роки тому +2

      There is no difference between running a spacer or finding the rim with the exact offset. It's very difficult to find rims with the exact offset. Spacers allow flexibility in choosing rims

    • @michaelshuler3349
      @michaelshuler3349 3 роки тому

      @@Garagecouple yeah I get that. You might find a rim with the right offset, but an ugly design. I would just be scared of sawing off the original studs to put spacer on. I have 2" spacers on my duramax and running 20x12 with a -44 offset. So I'm not 100% against spacers, I just dont like the fact you have to cut the studs that you're mounting too.

I personally wouldn't want to use them without regearing, but there is absolutely no 'need' to regear.
