When you've watched this (but not before 😉), please do hop over to Stuart's channel and watch his companion video ua-cam.com/video/_9OA6qvFe_w/v-deo.html . In that, we suggest six more books for Project Managers. But these are not Project Management books. They roam far more widely!
Thanks to these two videos, I have now gone and ordered four of the said books. The problem is, I will have to read them and more importantly. Implement lessons learned. Cheers.
Hey Mike, thank you so much - I really enjoyed working with you on this; and especially thank you for that warm introduction. I've got all of your book recommendations in my Amazon shopping list, and I'm really looking forward to putting my feet up and reading that last book that I mentioned here...
My pleasure, Ali. By the way, if you want to support this channel and find the books easily, then please do use the affiliated links in the description!!! 😄
Thank you, Mike! You always have great videos, love them :) I recently read the book - "Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if Your Life Depended on It" - I think it is a great book for the PM, negotiating is a big part of our work life.
Helpful video guys, many thanks. May I add as a suggestion "Project Management Inthe Real World" by Elizabeth Harrin - lots of real life experiences included to contextualise the methodologies and strategies discussed.
There's an old Chinese story about a Zen master. He goes into a shop full of produce and asks the shop-keeper 'what is best?' The shop-keeper replies 'it's all the best.' At that point, the monk attained enlightenment. The best one here is the book that draws you to it. It sparks your curiosity or promises to answer a need you feel. It's not the choice you make, but what you do with that choice. Choose the one you are most likely to read straight away, enjoy, and act on the ideas it triggers for you.

It's a fine read!
Seriously - it was fun. And we'll be back together next year. I have a plan... (twirls imaginary moustache).
Instantly subscribed and went to my Kindle store... Thanks guys. I'm like a sponge at this point
@@lmt70402 Excellent - that's how we should all be with new ideas.
Thank you Mike, I need to start ordering the books and read (oh boy that will be a challenge)
My pleasure, Ali.

Great suggestion! Of course Elizabeth is a friend of the channel - there are a couple of interviews with her here.
Hope you a great day ahead
Thank you.
Great lists of books there, but which one is best to buy first?
