idk if he mentioned it but random tip: if a reactor says mounted, the bonus only works while you have the weapon out, while if it says equipped, as long as it’s one of your 3 weapons even if you don’t use, it you get the bonus.
Not even close, this game is a shitty shooter. I can't even make a build, the "forma" and "reactors" are useless because you keep finding higher level weapons. I keep getting overwhelmed and i don't have proper aoe damage on ajax, his abilities are on cooldown or i have no energy, my gun is not enough, there is no melee system for descendents only enemis have it, and then there way too many enemies that are immune to damage or can make everybody around them immune and can dissable you abilities. This game is actually worse progressing, maybe it gets better when i reach max level and i can finally focus on builds. So far div2 is a proper looter-shooter.
Currently playing the game just unlocked bunny. It feels like they completely copy pasted Warframe to Unreal Engine 5 with asian booba meta most of the assets are 100% the same upscaled to the moon, lol. I think Warframe is better atm for sure but I will play both maybe if I see it improving. Its still made by nexon and its filled with microtransactions and ppl already saying the grind is 20 times worse and grinding in warframe was also terrible sometimes so im not really convinced yet.
@@Jwcmbr it's a bit harder, you don't have parkour, melee, easily getting overwhelmed when defending alone without AoE abilities. Guns are lackluster because of the module system, what happened to classic mods.

CORRECTION: I understand that I am making this comment 3 weeks after upload, but I feel that I should correct something that I noticed was actually incorrect which is a bit of a crucial bit of info which may or may not have been corrected in a future upload from this one. 14:35 Right here. You say that you can receive the reactor bonus to skill power simply by having the necessary weapon or weapon class equipped THIS IS NOT THE CASE. When the reactor says “[Weapon] mounted”, you have to be holding the weapon in your hands to receive the bonus. You can have the weapon equipped, but still not receive the bonus it advertises, because you weren’t actively holding it. This will be the difference between you moving down a sea of enemies as Bunny, or just running around playing slap-ass with the enemy. Edit: Minor corrections to some things I didn’t specifically observe. Added clarification.
I'm so pleased you're into this game, I've always relied on you for borderlands which is one of my all time franchises and this game has grabbed me right away so I'm looking forward to loads more content from you on this 🎉
Me too brother borderlands was one of my favorites of all time it’s sad how they let us down with borderlands 3 but yeah I used to watch moxxy for borderlands
Best video ever ! I'm actually starting the game tonight for my first binge session. I wont lie, I'm still not completely behind this game and after playing alphas and betas I did judge it but tonight I will be going in open minded again and hoping for the best.
Watched the whole thing. Been playing for a few days and have a ton of experience playing warframe (legend 3), this video def helped clear a few things up for me and had some amazing tips. Crazy how similar the two games are and I’m loving this right now as it’s something fresh. Thanks for the detailed video
Definitely helped me a lot to understand the different systems. I was very thrown of as it was a lot and wasn't explained well, but you sir did an excellent job and have made me actually enjoy the game rather than worry about doing something wrong! 10/10
I found this super helpful - I have tried and given up on Warframe because of the learning curve and I just got confused and I was fearing TFD would be the same, but your video has given me a great stepping stone to getting to grips with it, thank you so much!
On 32:00 about dismantling duplicates, I don't know if it'll work like Warframe in the long run but sometimes its good to keep a copy or two of your most used mods if you: A. Want to make different builds that require some mods to use less capacity (if they are all maxed out you can't use them all in different builds) B. More so if they add trading, you might wanna sell them to other players.
Your popular which means your doing something right! I'm new to you but I subscribed after this. Was very informative and I didn't mind the length at all. Watched the whole thing and was pleased. Having chapters underneath is definitely a plus for you for people that have figured things out. Hope you keep making vids. I shared this with my friends that have started the game too.
Very helpful from start to finish, I'm already around Lv 30 on two of my descendants and this definitely helped clear up how to make them as effective as can be.
Nice vid Moxsy, been playing the game non-stop since launch and little things like pointing out the Junk All filters and favouriting items I didn't spot till you pointed them out. There is SO MUCH in this game, trying to nail down all the details and what things are for is really helpful.
(Before anything this video did help me alot) but Honestly this game isnt really like COD besides the module part maybe a bit of warframe and a slight bit of destiny 2 but if you've played division 1 and division 2 your gonna start off with some solid understanding of how this entire game works cus thats bassically what this game is just aliens and you have powers but i love it definitely gonna be a vet if this game blows up im staying for a while thank you 💜🙏
in 6:00 you say to save these weapons, but substats are higher the higher the base weapon level is, so when you eventually level up your "god roll" their stats will turn grey because they are underleveled, so you will have to reroll the substats, losing that godroll
Liked the video, didn't seem that long. I only have an issue with long videos if they seem stretched (A lot of 10 minute videos these days are like that to hit that magic 10 minute mark) and that wasn't the case here. Useful and brief yet complete information, just how I like it!
Thx for the breakdown. I'm having a lot of fun but also feel like I'm running around like a headless chicken in this game. Now I have some clues about what to do and how to do them.
Started not too long ago and I really regretted not choosing Viessa. She's the hardest element to get for the void fragment missions, and that alone made some of my hardmode farming a little slow at the start. Personally never found use for Ajax when I started with him. Played Bunny then a bit of Freyna, collected necessary chars like enzo and sharen, then went straight into ult bunny and the others upon reaching hardmode.
Very helpful. One thing I'm struggling with is knowing what missions I have done already. My friend and I were running around the first two or three zones, and we'd come up to a mission and ask, "Have we done this one already?" We might start it just in case, get about 30 seconds into it, and say, "Yep, we've done this already." That drives us both nuts.
I’ve been playing since day one and this game is all about farming the right gear to get the job done. I only keep the best weapons and reactors then dismantle the rest for resources. Ajax and Bunny are my mains!
@ 9:37 The mod system page was the easiest to understand. What’s complicated is ALL the peices and parts to collect and what they are used for. I swear there’s like 30 freaking names for different parts and pieces to craft and have no clue what each piece or part goes to where or for what
The best way to increase your weapons damage output is to make sure that it is matching your highest gear point level is if your gear is at like 65 then you don’t want your primary weapon to be at 55 using level weapon level transmission to bring it up to 65 is going to greatly increase the DPS, regardless of what mods are on it

Slowly, with the help of my doctors and loved ones, I began to come to terms with the fact that The First Descendant was just a game, and that my obsession with it had spiraled out of control.
