2:07 - "skill power +1.7%" and "firearm ATK +2.8%" are negligible. As most other set bonuses currently are. You'll be better off with double/triple gold component with Max HP as main stat unless you are pursuing some very specific niche goal like "one-shot XXX" or "reach XX% CDR" etc. Also, 21% Crit hit rate is also quite weak. Suppose you have 4x CH damage multiplier and 20% CH chance (that's quite high, as most descendants have very low base crit stats, like x1.3 and 10%). That gives you x1.6 average increase in skill dps ( (CHD - 1)*CHC + 1 ). That 21% CHC bonus from set gives you x1.72 average increase in skill dps ( (CHD - 1)*CHC*1.21 + 1 ), which is 7.5% higher than it was without bonus. That's not negligible, but also not game-changing at all. And if your descendant not built for crit already, you'll get around x1.006 average skill dps increase, ie almost nothing.
Very good and clear video bro, like many on here I thought the higher rank items were the best, not!'I'm still learning but getting my lepic up to par! Thanks for sharing
The reload trick is neat but honestly or would be same amount of time to just let reload animation finish, the dodge roll would be great if you had to reload and get out of line of fire, well I'd 90% off websites didn't have lock on mechanics where they never miss, but just to save time reloading I think it's useless.
Thanks for this video. Very imformative. Helped me, as the game is very short on explanations, and so far they don't offer a 200 page PDF on how to play.
One mistake i find is people not running resistances on their externals. Even if you run a blue one, its going to be enough to deal with pretty much all content. It helps a lot with survivability actually i find, especially on bunny. I see so many bunny's dying all the time while i never go down even if i have only like 2k health. People say resistances don't matter but i found that they do, at least to some extent. I also found that DEF actually doesn't matter that much, i don't run almost any def on my gley, i got only like 6k on her and its enough. HP is where its at
I watched a guy test the difference between def and Elemental resist in boss fights and he proved that def does absolutely nothing to mitigate elemental damage which is usually at least half of the boss’s attacks and the most damaging. Since I watched that video I don’t run more than 16k def on my bunny and I’ll run the ultimate that gives me immunity to the tick dmg and then I run whatever maximize resist I need, not fully lvled it get you to around 7500-8k+. You can bathe in toxic puddles with that resist, I don’t even bother doing intercepts without it on now.
Yeah, I was confused. I watch people run over my loot all the time and it stays put lol - I'd say maybe cuz they're taking the mobs, but if you're doing a mission you're in the same party anyways?
The further I get into this game the less I feel I know I just beat the story last night and now I feel like I’m playing a whole new game with all this stuff
if you want to complete infiltrations successfully, you need to destroy the objectives without getting seen by the enemy. Sharen, being the only character that goes invisible, is basically required to complete these if you want the additional drops for completing it successfully. However, if you want just the base AM, you can just complete it normally and not worry about Sharen
I'm sorry what? All honesty you just have to hack 1 to be successful, now you only have a 5% chance to get the drops for it. But I have done a single hack with Descendants that don't have stealth. You just have to be smart and look for the open place.
Have half the stats that the gold piece at unless you’re just stuck wearing purple pieces because you’re haven’t yet level 100 yet there’s no good reason the rock purple pizza not for a little bit extra 25% more is a modifier actually adding 4036 is not a modifier that’s adding to your base that a purple piece so that you could get something that’s on it. That’s just crazy, you’re losing so much your and your stats your survivability
Obvious tip but when you go to farm a piece check all the potential things it drops from the % are often different and you might be able to farm multiple things you need at once
lol, that reload cancel. Bruh. It took just as long to dodge as it would have if you finished the reload. You gained nothing. Maybe on a MG, but anything else there's no gain whatsoever. That Ambush Point is also a fabulous place to grind for Breakers and Analyzers.
After using Sharen I've realize that it is just a waste of time, as the amorphous materials don't have 100% drop rate. On top of that you need to have farm the materials to open the Reactor and top of that you need to have luck in order to get the item you need after defeating the boss from the reactor.
Without her good luck on getting the additional amorphous don't get me wrong you can still get it but without sharen it's a really low chance. She's a must for farming
Trying to get those amorphous marks with Sharen is already a low chance and it is horrible to waste time in 10 arounds and getting just one mark. I prefer 1000% more taking 7 minutes in dungeons to obtain two 100% drop rate marks. So I stand by the fact that using Sharen is a massive waste of time.
Unfortunately, not everything can be farmed through dungeons for a high % chance to get the item from the amorphous. Certain amp from dungeons have a 10% chance vs Sharen's 20%. If the chances are the same, I agree to go with dungeon rather than Sharen.
@@ThatGuyAh If you like gambling on luck then Sharen is suitable for you, but if you like securing 2 amorpheous marks with 100% drop rate then dungeons are best for you. It all comes down to: Do you have the most suitable Descendant for each case? After the recent patch notes of the 23th of august it finally seems that playing with Sharen will be worth it.
You do realize that there are certain ultimate parts you will NEVER get out of a dungeon run right? You know why it's because you can ONLY get them from a reactor as the second drop from an outpost. But what would I know it not like I have put in almost 400 hours, and have every Descendant, Ultimate Descendant, and Ultimate Weapons currently in game.
Hi, brand new player here, I have a lot of time in Destiny 2, Halo infinite, tens of thousands of hours in skyrim, and was looking for something new to play. It seems that your (and a lot of players) main focus is not actually playing and enjoying the game, but maxing out your character, so you can kill bosses in one hit, as it were. Is this normal for this game? is everyone only focused on rank and not gameplay? Cos if that's the case I may be wasting my time with this game.... Thoughts?
26 seems to be the max you can get on mastery at the moment. Other tips I would add: 1) make a Bunny and level her. She is tremendous for speed farming missions and content. Also, you can equip those guns you will never use to grind their mastery level. 2) run the hard mode story missions solo on bunny if you can with over 200% modifiers. It takes the same time and you get double amorphous drops and higher chance of the stabilizer. This will save time in the long run. 3) make a Sharen and prestige her 1-2 times so you can easily do the infiltration missions solo in about 20-25 seconds in private lobby. This will save you a lot of time and frustration when trying to get amorphous that you need without randoms ruining it.
@@BangGotBeats - yeah you can do that; you will also be very squishy. Some are easier than others. One or so prestige levels and they are all a joke. The guns you are running also makes a huge difference with it… a max level upgraded and fully catalyzed thunder cage does most of the work. And her trans mod that allows you to target 20 enemies at once helps.
Call the difference between the main reason you choose a specific set of components. Isn’t the two piece or the four piece bonus? It’s for the stats they give you the defense that hit points at the shield the south that are just you know icing on top of the cake Set, but you have to do your survivability and for instance, a defense component the difference between purple and gold is about 2500 decent and that is a main stat value of base number that increases your defense number so that things like increased defense that doesn’t increase your defense number at all that only multiply your defense number, but you have to have defense The more you have the more increased the more HBO have the increased HBO literally gives you the stats gives you more defense more HP or more but if you use purple, it gives you about half as much there’s no good reason to use purple except that you haven’t chilled hangman yet and you can get the gold ones if you can get the gold ones do you 100% should be choosing that over anyMazzy look at purple set
I understand what you mean, but it entirely depends, for instance if you have enough survivability you'd want to choose a set that gives you some useful traits, (his example might not be the best) but there sets that give huge dps boost with just 2 pieces it all comes to your build and what you care for, dps build would obviously don't care for some living time if it means it takes half the time to kill the thing you want. He is right that you should mix and match the things that fit your needs
Reload canceling doesn’t increase your damage dramatically. At 80% the actually time you spend firing is much smaller than you think. With the roll then requiring your target especially if you’re going for a weak point your talking a very small window increase. You’re changing on animation for another and adding the the fact that you have to aim again.
I wish somebody would have told me sooner that ultimate characters dont retain improved sockets etc... thats a huge bumer and i wouldnt have invested so much in basic bunny...
Shields and setups should be set to the active character and change per so not stuck wondering if getting rid of best 1s for 1 character when swapping through characters
when playing a descendant other then ajax you dont wanna put two defense mods on your descendant because of the diminishing returns you get you only need the defense blue one mod and 1 external component with double defense and thats it having more then 30k defense on a descendant other then ajax is wasting a mod slot and since shield is non existence you dont need it so the better HP mod purple one to use is the amplification HP where it gives you HP but -%max shield
Matching the weapon gives your skill power a 60% increase. Matching the element is another multiplier of 20%, and the specific skill type is another 20%. Basically if conditions are met, its (Base Skill Power of Reactor * 160%), then 20% increase of the skill is fire, then another 20% increase if the skill is tech. Lepic’s Ult meets all of those conditions, but his 2 and 3 skills do not, hence they only benefit from the 20% increase for being considered a fire element, but not the additional 20% for being a tech skill, not that they need it. Say the reactor has a based power of 11060.96 and it is a Thundercage Fire/Tech. For Lepic’s ult, it’s calculated as (11060.96 * 1.6 for mounting Thundercage) * (1.2 for being a fire skill) * (1.2 for being a tech skill). Therefore the skill power for Lepic’s Ult is 25484.45, but his 2 and 3 is 21237.04 because it’s not multiplied by that last 1.2 or 20% increase for not being tech.
They need to make the countdown for the expqnded stol item way shorter like 19 hoirs is ridiculous considering a descendant is 16 hours and the items for them are not simple to get either so wtf is with the timer being so long.
Also if you are farming, stack power and range with skill cooldown. The fact people will say oh you're a glass cannon, yes that's the point. A bunny who can one shot with her 3rd ability. Doesn't matter they cannot touch you.
imo shld have shield too!! i only found out about the changing pattern on infiltirations few days back too some 500 hrs in lmao , , , always thought u just made it certain when u clicked the score dealio
I wish there was an easier way to farm purple reactors. Farming for golds is so annoying. Too much RNG for what they do. And if you're really wanting to min/max you need up to 4. 1 with ATK vs Colossi, then 3 with ATK vs the 3 Factions. All with the correct gun and secondary substat. I hope they allow us to reroll reactor substats like we can with weapons at some point.

Defence stat isn't needed for survivability, just build HP and or shields (unless you're on a character that uses DEF for ability scaling) Mastery is also gained by doing all the missions in normal and hard mode, you get it the first time you run it. Max mastery rank is currently 26 before season 1
@@lyrsenanokar No, DEF is actually great for survivability and with only so many mods able to be used that grant HP, you will want something else for sustained survival. DEF can get like 40-50% damage reduction without much effort. That’s literally doubling your effective health
@@TheMarine0333 Defence gets to about 50% damage reduction at 35k defence according to my testing, getting there requires at least 1 mod and 1-2 components specced in defence. After about 20k defence there are significant diminishing returns where as HP does not have that drawback. HP scales from base + components then multiplies by the % of the module. I'd rather have 20k HP and 4k defence over 4k hp and 150k defence.

You can reload cancel with certain abilities as well, like Lepic's grenade. Just throw it instead of dodging. More damage sent out + reload cancel.
6:15 is every time good to see what modul is important i maybe dosent have all of them but i try to take them next time
The reload trick is neat but honestly or would be same amount of time to just let reload animation finish, the dodge roll would be great if you had to reload and get out of line of fire, well I'd 90% off websites didn't have lock on mechanics where they never miss, but just to save time reloading I think it's useless.
You can use an ability instead of dodging to reload your weapon. In the same way to speed it up. It’s what I do.
Thanks for this video. Very imformative. Helped me, as the game is very short on explanations, and so far they don't offer a 200 page PDF on how to play.
This is all great info. Thank you
Solid vid, I've got over 250h and agree with these. Good refresher too.
Great info man. Thanks.
Reload cancel is nice unless you have fire fiesta on which is way better
Do you mean that dropped loot is not shared and somebody can pick up your loot? Referring to 15:40
Yeah, I was confused. I watch people run over my loot all the time and it stays put lol - I'd say maybe cuz they're taking the mobs, but if you're doing a mission you're in the same party anyways?
No, all lot is personal. Other people don't even see your loot.
The further I get into this game the less I feel I know I just beat the story last night and now I feel like I’m playing a whole new game with all this stuff
Where does it say we have to use sharen for infiltrations?
Nowhere, it doesn't say that anywhere, she is just the only that can go indivisible
if you want to complete infiltrations successfully, you need to destroy the objectives without getting seen by the enemy. Sharen, being the only character that goes invisible, is basically required to complete these if you want the additional drops for completing it successfully. However, if you want just the base AM, you can just complete it normally and not worry about Sharen
If you want to actually have a "successful" infiltration then you need sharen. Lol
I'm sorry what? All honesty you just have to hack 1 to be successful, now you only have a 5% chance to get the drops for it. But I have done a single hack with Descendants that don't have stealth. You just have to be smart and look for the open place.
@jakethereaper84 I thought you need to get all of them for a successful infiltration? That's awesome if we only need to one
Roll when you’re JUST over half way thru the reload animation
Ambush also good for encrypted vault consumables
Have half the stats that the gold piece at unless you’re just stuck wearing purple pieces because you’re haven’t yet level 100 yet there’s no good reason the rock purple pizza not for a little bit extra 25% more is a modifier actually adding 4036 is not a modifier that’s adding to your base that a purple piece so that you could get something that’s on it. That’s just crazy, you’re losing so much your and your stats your survivability
Obvious tip but when you go to farm a piece check all the potential things it drops from the % are often different and you might be able to farm multiple things you need at once
You dont need increase Def. Just increase HP. My bunny can out- survive most characters with 14.5k health. Save mod slots for damage.
The Slayer set gives 21% more skill power. So I use that when I'm DPSing.
lol, that reload cancel.
Thoughts?
for quick reload i use reload and then F for melee and its free reload and dont need to wait or Spell on Viessa
26 seems to be the max you can get on mastery at the moment. Other tips I would add:
1) make a Bunny and level her.
You don't need to prestige her at all. Just put on 3 duration mods and you can pretty much do every infiltration
“Go touch grass” good advice but which map is best? I can’t seem to get it to spawn
Just reached last map and finished all quest... now im stuck at the wave quest then final boss with bunny.
wow this was a really good video
I wish somebody would have told me sooner that ultimate characters dont retain improved sockets etc... thats a huge bumer and i wouldnt have invested so much in basic bunny...
Shields and setups should be set to the active character and change per so not stuck wondering if getting rid of best 1s for 1 character when swapping through characters
You can avoid a heavy landing by just shooting your gun
when playing a descendant other then ajax you dont wanna put two defense mods on your descendant because of the diminishing returns you get you only need the defense blue one mod and 1 external component with double defense and thats it having more then 30k defense on a descendant other then ajax is wasting a mod slot and since shield is non existence you dont need it so the better HP mod purple one to use is the amplification HP where it gives you HP but -%max shield
So what does having a matching reactor (element, skill type( do exactly? Ex: Fire/Tech for Lepic?
@@King369Ithanks for the breakdown!!!! Really appreciate it!
I agree with everything you said, except how dare you tell me to go touch grass!!! I want to be a sweaty gamer! Lol
Mastery rank gives OODLES of 'consumable' inventory space and SQUAT for general stash.
It's wrong....
My first mistake was booting up the game. Lost all 100 hours of progress because their account linking screwed up.
Broo i think I was noob till now 😭😭😭 thankkuu
Was looking for something like those presets so that's where they are hidden :D
u didnt show where the valby grind is
I use HP Amp. I never have shields anyways 😂 HP 227 but Max Shields - 36
They need to make the countdown for the expqnded stol item way shorter like 19 hoirs is ridiculous considering a descendant is 16 hours and the items for them are not simple to get either so wtf is with the timer being so long.
Sterile land kiper mine is good for XP, Gold, kiper and reactors
Also if you are farming, stack power and range with skill cooldown. The fact people will say oh you're a glass cannon, yes that's the point. A bunny who can one shot with her 3rd ability. Doesn't matter they cannot touch you.
Volt users from wareframe already know.
This game tells you a lot if you just take the time to read 😊
Actually really helpful, 2 or 3 things will help me… gg.
Where did u see that u had to use Sharon for the mission
imo shld have shield too!! i only found out about the changing pattern on infiltirations few days back too some 500 hrs in lmao , , , always thought u just made it certain when u clicked the score dealio
Looking at timestamps and realizing I need to be Sharen this video.
You know reactors are on a rotation right?
Can someone explain what I shouldn’t do not upgrade my gun or character before hitting it to max rank or ?
There is absolutely no X in the word, especially
Just subbed 🎉
Are you sure once you socket a weapon or descendant doesn't give you mastery xp when leveling again? Cuz I thought it did and have done bunny 10x and thunder cage several. .mastery rank 16 atm
How do you change or add those odd numbers that lessen your module power cost?
when im mid reload i melee and it reloads the weapons fully idk if activating grapple may work too but ive noticed it after accidentally fat fingering reload button
reloading animation cancels for me at 50% for me and all ammo shows up for me lmao
@@SwampRatSmith it often depends on the weapon. Like machine guns often you have to reload cancel later. SMGs are usually right after 50%
F tier click bait thumbnail with an arrow that doesnt even point to anything. At least try my guy
I just waych your video n I got alot of great information. I just need help once I unlock hard more
Hey I have what is prob a dumb question but when I equip external component sets should I see that stat increase in my character info screen? I have the Tomb Vanguard 2 piece bonus but don't see an increase to my DEF in the info??
Damn homie trying to get them to patch the animation canceling 😢
How do I put 4 things on the external components thing? I'm new to this probably guess that with my question lol I've only got 2 on that bit I got to level 40 though and think I've mastered putting the best parts on your weapons its just that bit external components it won't let me have 4 ? Collect more materials or something 🤔 idk
I didn't know that you can set it to private I'm going to do that jump on it with the kids after work, thanks for that 👍
50%-60% on reload idk why everyone keeps saying 70-80 lol.
I find sometimes at 50% i wont get the reload but 60% i get it consisently
@@mattfonti2344it only matters what weapon you're using it's different for every type
@@envoydroid4027 ive honestly only been focusing on eternal willpower and thats all i really use.. still sometimes dont get it at 50%, i assume its a pretty exact number or something like 53% or something random and i just cant hit it by feel everytime
@@envoydroid4027i dont doubt it swaps woth each weapon but i cant say personally as i habent experimented with most of em
My thunder cage with extended mag does it at 40%
Defence stat isn't needed for survivability, just build HP and or shields (unless you're on a character that uses DEF for ability scaling)
Mastery is also gained by doing all the missions in normal and hard mode, you get it the first time you run it.
So Valby + ult Valby = "+1" not "+2" mastery?
Would have been a good video the first week the game came out.
>_>
In Agna desert there is a new and better bunny run
