Even if you DON'T play super--aggressive like Moxsy, HP is King. I started out hoping "Shield is King!" but sadly, it just isn't. DEF either, although it's better than shield. The bang for your buck from upgrading HP mods is no contest imo. Even blues.(Fwiw, I play super-squishy Bunny almost exclusively) Also, prefer "Sharpshooter" to "Action and Reaction". (They'll in same class, so you can't run both). I play on controller, so don't like extra recoil. Also, it adds extra crit-chance, which is my 2nd most important.
As an ajax main i definitely notice what 50-80k defense feels like over 30k, but yea shield needs a higher capacity without too many mods necessary to achieve it and elemental resistance is practically useless unfortunately
Unless you are Ajax with 65k def, 32k hp, AND 29k shields. Ever since getting it in fuming trying to get shield collector because yes my shields are now more durable than my hp but never recover once they’re due to atrocious shield regen in game. But shield collector would be a game changer. I’m never getting it tho no matter how many times I combine yellow mods. It’s bull crap rng
In regards to skill crit builds. Always use both blue mods skill concentration and skill insight before using purples as you get alot more crit chance and crit damage from both blues over purples. But you can also add both purple mods after the fact and have 4 crit chance/crit damage mods on at the same time.
So glad you're making videos for this game, been watching since tiny tinas wonderlands, and no one else seems to produce "quality" content for this game, it's all rushed and unfinished builds.
Moxsy, Love to see my favorite BL3 creator still making amazing vids, would you consider making like a mod priority list? as far as what to level first when starting out?
This video is really helpful for someone just starting. The thing I would like is to inspect the mods in the drop pool of a mission because it's kind of hard to check on a different window or outside source. That MP Collector mod is like Arcane Energy in Warframe.
One thing they should add is at least one module that grants shield recovery on skill use, or something along those lines. That would seriously encourage shield builds. There just is not enough means to maintain shields at this time.
Bunny kinda has one. One of her transcendent mods reduces how much electricity you build up while using her 2 but makes you gain shields at a fairly low rate lol not really worth running it. I tried it for a bit and it didn't seem to help too much outside of some colossi encounters where you could run to get shield back up and weren't using her other 3 skills much of at all.
Great content, as always. The entire time I was watching, I kept hoping you would click on that mobbing tab so I could get a screenshot. Maybe you could make it a point to show each tab during the video? Love your show!
This would have been a good video if you just talked about the mods, but you also told us where to get them so its 11/10 🤩 As a noob who just unlocked white night gulch it's good to know that I have already unlocked farming locations for some of the best mods in the game, and also why they are the best. 😀 Often times I find that "Equip recommended module" sets up a really bad build on my descendant and weapons and I have to manually pick the things I want to get my skill duration lower than its cooldown, get more survivability (not just def, def, def) and get my DPS up even though the weapon tooltip says my build has lower DPS than the recommended 🙄
If a card is type tagged (e.g. HP) is not influenced by its rarity, though the vast majority of purple are tagged and I believe all gold are tagged too. But you can very easily see, on your own example, a card can be blue and still have the "ATK" tag making it incompatible with any other like that.
Thanks a lot for this mod video, since ive gone through all 10 i have so much more survivability and dps as i also like to play aggressive. Mid air maneuvering & hp amplification definitely took the longest to farm.
Honestly not worth VS doing it to another slot. +5 is nothing compared to halving a module that costs 11+. Considering the scarcity of materials and the time it takes to research it's more ideal to leave that for last.

I found farming mental focus from the void fragment in Sterile Lands to be much faster than ransacked village. You can use bunny as its an electricity type thingy.
Hey moxsy, just wanted to help you out with the whole modding system information, if you use a crystallization on your sub module slot you gain a total of 85 capacity instead of 80. In case you didnt already know. Thanks for the great content and information you put out in the community.

I got like 100k shards I knew I had to upgrade a few things. But was trying to horde all my mats till hard mode.
I definitely feel the recoil at that high of a percentage on Controller with Action and Reaction but where I'm at in the game, I can even that back out with an Accuracy and Recoil module.
Man i strated playing this game just casually, i wass hook for the characters and gameplay, finished the story and was doing some hard mission. My characters are strong doing damage but weak taking bullets, i always tought the best thing was building shield and no man you are right, the best thing to do is going tanky with HP (defense also). Having said that now im planning to farm some builds. I purchase one character as a thanks for the game but honestly i can see mywself playing this game regularly.
I yolo this game every time I log in and I have so many rare mods from doing random things with no aim. I’m stuck at the last boss (pubs are hard) so I just been doing literally anything and everything I see on these videos I have just not leveled up. I literally have no clue what’s going on but it’s a fun game
Multi-maneuvering is underrated here, imo. If you time it correctly, you can actually squeeze 4 charges out of it, and in doing so you chain it together. You can climb pretty much everything, low cool down, etc. and if you have decent situational awareness you'll be able to grab onto walls, rocks, etc if you're paying attention. You can also jump once, hook to the ground, move yourself right or left and it will swing you outwards, and then you can jump again, rehook to the ground, repeat, and you will slingshot yourself around at a much faster pace than anything else. A good way to practice the mechanic is to finish an intercept mission and swing around to pick up 2-3 items at a time. It's also really helpful in quickly picking up health orbs, mp orbs, etc. and getting away from aoe on the ground. Just my two cents on the other maneuvering mod, that I personally enjoy. Edit: it's also great to pull yourself to downed teammates, have an extra charge in case you fall or need to grapple to the ground and land right next to a teammate. It saves valuable time when you have more than one downed teammate. More often than not, I'll see people just running towards downed teammates instead of using their grappling hook, which is way faster when you do it right. Twice the speed.
I just want to point something out about 3:00, this is not always true, for example the 'Technician' & 'Singular/etc Specialist' mods cannot be used together with 'Focus on Singular/etc', same goes for the blue mod 'Power Increase', doesn't work with the 'Electric/etc Master' or 'Focus on Electric/etc' mods. I haven't tested the HP/Def/Shield ones but that's quite a bit of 'Normal' tagged mods that don't work with purples.
I feel that mid-air hook is a crutch, honestly. It's easier as you don't need to keep track of nearby hook points (or use the ground) but at the cost of overall burst distance (compared to long range hook, which I prefer) and ability to get a big looping motion that rapidly procs bunny's shocks by turning your camera as you pull around. Also can cause issues grappling to boss body parts but with bosses starting to die in a few seconds that last one might not matter for long.
the skill crit rate seems to be nutty if you also get a reactor that has 30% skill crit rate on it. You can make most of your AOE attacks on bunny crits and those will oneshot elite mobs
The crit rate % mods and Crit from reactors are not flat Crit% increases. So, +30% crit on you mod or reactor is not 30% chance to crit. It increases your base chance to crit. Which depending on descendant ranges from 5-20% base crit chance on skills Bunny's base is 10%, so having +100% crit chance takes her to 20% skill crit chance.
Hince why most descendents its not worth fully investing into crit.. Typically the abilities that can tick for a lot of high base skill dmg are decent candidates for crit tho.. Trying to build crit on a single hit abilities can feel nice when you see that huge crit but the problem is cooldown/chance to crit will play a huge role in the rng/dps factor that you would of got more value from a higher non crit value in most cases.
Hey guys will try make this short. Hard infiltration>hagios region>old mystery> there is a room where you need stand on 6 beacon timers. So just dont finish mission wait till last 30 second. Because elites keeps on spawning who drops essential materials for energy activator plius you farm points for that 2x score on amorphous material. Hope this will help someone. Feel free to make a video on this
Theres a blue mod for all resistances on one, also i believe crit chance should be taken a look at in the indepth weapon/descendant stat screens, crit chance is multiplicative when ends up being a less return on investment compared if it were additive.
Key Note on Front Lines. This mod is multiplicative NOT additive. You cannot get substantially higher skill crit from any sources that I have checked. Reactor's sub stats also appear to be multiplicative (at least for crit dmg, dont have a crit rate to test on hand). So that means your only get a base 5% crit rate to work with on Freyna. The crit dmg is weird. It does not appear to be additive or multiplicative as the numbers don't add up on the stat sheet. Might be multiplicative with diminishing returns after 2x on crit dmg, but not sure. I am not sure if this is a bug or intended but skill crit doesnt seem viable in any reliable way at least for Freyna.
you can also get an extra 5 capacity on the sub slot if forma'd(which i don't see many videos mention),you are by far one of the better cc out there for videos, non-generic content but good and informative videos. keep up the good work and thank you
ye, but the cost doubles :) thats why you get more "values" 1:43 if you do some math, the amount of % you get is directly relative to the endo you spend to nicrease

I definitely feel the recoil at that high of a percentage on Controller with Action and Reaction but where I'm at in the game, I can even that back out with an Accuracy and Recoil module.
Thanks for the time you spend putting together all the great videos
Thanks never knew that about mod system very informative
I got HP Collector randomly while doing story before I even knew I had it lol. So lucky.
Great vid. Now that I've beat the game, this helped my set some goals.
i like shock punch a lot tho, especially with the mobs that carry big shields, shock punch works nicely on them
Man i strated playing this game just casually, i wass hook for the characters and gameplay, finished the story and was doing some hard mission. My characters are strong doing damage but weak taking bullets, i always tought the best thing was building shield and no man you are right, the best thing to do is going tanky with HP (defense also). Having said that now im planning to farm some builds. I purchase one character as a thanks for the game but honestly i can see mywself playing this game regularly.
love your gley build man having a lot of fun having an infinite rocket launcher just melting bosses
This was a very good and informative video. Thanks so much.
i like shock punch just for dealing with shielded enemies
Bruh this video SLAPS! Thanks!
I yolo this game every time I log in and I have so many rare mods from doing random things with no aim. I’m stuck at the last boss (pubs are hard) so I just been doing literally anything and everything I see on these videos I have just not leveled up. I literally have no clue what’s going on but it’s a fun game
Saaame!
For those who don’t have frontlines mod. Emergency measure is just as good to have. They’re practically the same
thanks dude! Nice video 😊
I don't see any problem hooking the ground? U can even jump before getting to the ground to keeping momentum
I swear since borderlands his intro 'yo guys whats up...' has gotten faster and faster lol
the skill crit rate seems to be nutty if you also get a reactor that has 30% skill crit rate on it. You can make most of your AOE attacks on bunny crits and those will oneshot elite mobs
FYI: going over 100% skill crit rate breaks it. At 100%+ skill crit rate, instead of writing all the time you'll crit at the rate over the 100%
@@AMoralManwait seriously?
The crit rate % mods and Crit from reactors are not flat Crit% increases. So, +30% crit on you mod or reactor is not 30% chance to crit. It increases your base chance to crit. Which depending on descendant ranges from 5-20% base crit chance on skills
Bunny's base is 10%, so having +100% crit chance takes her to 20% skill crit chance.
Hince why most descendents its not worth fully investing into crit.. Typically the abilities that can tick for a lot of high base skill dmg are decent candidates for crit tho.. Trying to build crit on a single hit abilities can feel nice when you see that huge crit but the problem is cooldown/chance to crit will play a huge role in the rng/dps factor that you would of got more value from a higher non crit value in most cases.
stop talking shit.
Great vid! I have all of these so I’ll be making sure to use them
This dude is such a bro I love it
Hey guys will try make this short.
Good way to end my very 'grindy' night, thanks always for great vids!
Thx mate, very informative!
I have a mod (don't remember the name) that when your shield goes to 0, your defense increases, very good mod. 👍
you can also get an extra 5 capacity on the sub slot if forma'd(which i don't see many videos mention),you are by far one of the better cc out there for videos, non-generic content but good and informative videos. keep up the good work and thank you
so will the max be 85?
@dominicadrian4790 yes so you get 15 from the module instead of 10, like if you have the spare forma it's definitely good for minmaxing
You should be using sockets on normal slots first. Reducing cost by 8 on a maxed out mandatory module is better than adding 5 capacity
@@Harmonic14 yes i agree, its low priority (therefore minmaxing)
Amazing set up.
ye, but the cost doubles :) thats why you get more "values" 1:43
if you do some math, the amount of % you get is directly relative to the endo you spend to nicrease
Welp, guess I know what my weekend is gonna be now.
I didn't have a problem with dead bride because my buddy showed up and 1 shot her for me lmao
Hmm I think they need a replay function or a pathing function. What I mean by this is I’ve played and now I’m stuck on devour. So I have to look up videos to “farm” other mods and find specific things. I think it would be nice to pick I want to find A, B and C mods materials whatever and it will transport you between a playlist so that way you don’t get stuck farming rather you can play a playlist and have fun!
Another banger video. Thank you very much.
Can get an additional 5 module points by putting a M mod in sub socket, goes from+10 to+15
If u change out mid air Maneuvering with Multi Maneuvering and use a mod on it u get 5 more module capasity
I like your vids buddy. Ty!
Great video, thank you.
for mental focus you can do the mission abandoned village in vesper it takes like 2-3 mins
I already have every one of these mods and i still have 1 whole area to unlock in the campaign 😂
Oddly, I didn't have to farm for any of them, but I just got them while playing. Setting up my builds on Gley and Ajax atm.
