In the swamp walker enrage phase, if you stay right next one of his legs and shoot his weak points on the next leg, he can't actually hit you. The legs create blind spots for his weapons, he basically can't touch you if you time it right and keep moving from leg to leg while killing weakpoints. You can easily clear the whole enrage phase without taking any damage at all.
They should copy Monster Hunter system of breaking parts increases drop chance of rarer stuff they can tie specific weak points to specific drops. That can make the fights more interesting by including breaking specific parts to changing boss mechanics like unlocking stronger weapon for the boss or changing the movement speed of the boss if particular components are broken. Just add some variety to each boss fights. Maybe breaking head armor unleashes a new attack pattern or something. Just throwing ideas out.
I’ve been helping as many people I can in normal and hard mode. Knowing what the boss rage mechanic is good but investing in your mods for your weapon and your character survivability is going to make a difference.
another tip for hard mode executioner: Post frenzy/immune phase he has a HUGE defence buff (the green icon you see under his hp bar) you can remove this buff with: Eesimos 4 skill, The ultimate sniper (forget its name) and the absolute curse descendant module, it makes him an absolute cakewalk.

'Devourer is easy'. Playing through the game it was the first boss I actually struggled with. Think it took like 6 attempts after failing because of time limit, because I didnt know and the randoms MM put me didnt know in the early runs that the pylons healed him and they dont go away until he is full. I genuinely struggled with this boss until I looked up how to beat him. Been loving the videos. Keep pumping them out
Yeah for real. I had to stop doing public after I got to pyro because I was getting so frustrated. And Dead Walker was so frustrating because of the cube mechanic. Nobody knew how to do it until I finally found another Gley and we were on the same page. We carried the other two but it felt awesome to finally get that over with and help out the other two not having to worry about that again for awhile lol
Thank you! I am about to start hard mode and this was very helpful. I had turn on the in game voice chat for the hangman fight when playing with randoms to explain the mechanics. Probably need to do it for all the hard mode bosses.
Thanks for the tips, the brace is new to me for keeping the enrage bar at a standstill. Bunny rocks for bosses at least for the groups I’ve been with. Any time I had a group with 2 or 3 bunny characters, we were able to defeat the boss. The other times, randoms got too focused with spreading out and away from the boss taking potshots slowly.
People dont seem to think about bullet types. They do matter a lot, as I've noticed, especially with my dates with Dead Bride. If you bash her with Crush or even Burst ammo guns like the Tamer or gregs, you will piss her off and do next to no damage to the shields. Pierce ammo helps a lot getting those shields down. I found the Eternal Willpower to make a big difference in all boss fights so far since then. Once the shields are down, you can flop whatever you want out and go ham.
For the molten Fortress everybody, you don’t have to do his tower phase. You can completely bypass that by getting a couple Lepics gleys, and may be in Enzo. Make sure you shoot his side when they become yellow and someone hold onto him and deal damage with him with lepics ultimate because he doesn’t frenzy while you’re attached to him break the first part go to the other side wait to it turns yellow do it again and he should be dead without ever going to tower phase which is by far the most annoying mechanic. Hope this works for everybody. It definitely work for me makes it so much easier.
Couple of additions/corrections here Pyromancer: taking fire damage grants him more enrage so try your best to avoid taking damage from him, this isn’t very noticeable on normal Executioner and pyromancer: hummingbirds grant enrage, not healing Obstructed: while someone is caged not only will they die but the he gains massive amounts of enrage while they are caged Even mounting the boss doesn’t prevent any of these but the boss doesn’t attack while mounted so the pyro one is far less noticeable unless everyone is on fire before you grapple
Another little time saving trick I've found while fighting bosses: Your guns still continue to finish reloading even during the [whiteout/position change] section of a teleport>slam. So go ahead and get that magazine topped up while you're waiting to double-jump and grapple away 🤙 love the video! I really wish the boss screens at least kinda *alluded* to there being some kind of special mechanic in some of these fights to look out for. I feel like aside from DPS and tank checks- the random mechanics are what throw a lot of battles for people coming into a intercept fight for the first couple goes. I think I had to take on Hanged Man about 20 times the first time through because not a single person was aware as to why we all died 2 mins in and how to stop it.
Tip for Executioner: When you solo him or you are the target during immunity phase. Stand still when he charges his big gun, then when he fire dodge LEFT. Shortly after he shot he is still stationary for almost a second and you can actually hit the tube on his back even when he is facing you. Its also a good practice to not move too much when you have aggro from any boss during invulnerabilty because it will make it easier for teammates to hit the immunity weakpoints.

And if you don’t have the Absolute Curse module don’t break his breakable parts. Let the person who has the dispel mod do it. Makes the fight so much easier.
Pyro and bride both like to just.... walk out into the liquid and make the fight extremely frustrating and unfair, I mean it ticks for 55 dmg and it (feels like) twice per second.... this feels like awful game design and very abusive towards the player because although it seems as though they have this "need" to be X meters from the player they are targeting at the time, they don't always follow this, so i noticed this especially on pyro since you taught us to stay near him, he will literally just not turn or switch directions and just walk out into the freaking liquid and oh looky, now i cannot dodge your attacks. Side note on a more positive side, this video is probably the only reason i managed to actually take pyro down, so thank you. I wish there was more manipulation or logic behind their movement, but from what i have tried there does not seem to be any favorable outcome besides just praying to RNG they don't walk a stupid direction.

Its funny because it out-damages two of the snipers in game as well, both for DPS and Damage for a individual shot- always loved the Silly Weeper, it could be considered ultimate just the way it is lol
@@Moxsy Increase HP does not work without HP on external components. Also stacking resistance is good for players that don't swipe for Forma like there is no tomorrow. Also good for them is the % based resistance + immunity mods - DB is much easier if you are not getting stun-frozen every 5 seconds, but that mod is dang insane hard to grind (its on a VOID reactor Hard mode) - the rest of the immunity series are easy.
Bro…I know I’m late to the party, but I’ve been seeing your videos pop up and they’ve been very helpful. Want you to know the thing that got me over the line to sub was that shameless plug section just live the straight up lack of tact in the naming of the section lol.
The damage amount to weak points changes according to the weak point type (Pierce / Crush / Burst). Depending on your gun some weak points will take more damage than others. The Devourer for instance takes more damage on the shoulders from a tamer because the shoulders are weak against crush weapons like the tamer and same for its core. Now if you bring, lets say a thunder cage, you will be dealing more damage on the knees and sensors than on the shoulders and core for the same reason.
I think the only thing to add any of these. If you’re in a group, when the Collosus targets you, don’t run into your teammates. Just be the distraction so your team can fire at will.
One correction, for Hanged Man you said break the cube and then go pick up the cube. Which might be confusing for first time players, you break the TUBE in his mouth when he's firing and pick up the CUBE to start his enraged phase
Just a tip for Dead Bride boss is to try not to stand under her too often, she can stomp you to death, on top of big damage it does around her, stomp freezes you completely for like 6s. Seen a lot of pugs try to get very close to her for chest weak spot and get stomped to death
Something I think they should do is change Frost Walker's mechanic to just be is: "If one person picks up an ember, everyone gets the buff". Both so people become more aware of the buff's existence, and to prevent people getting frustrated at how it can failed by your Runner getting taken out. Some things that should probably put in for advice though is that you should get your guns upgraded with catalysts and energy activators, and/or farm for the mods that grant elemental status immunities. Those mods (Heat Release, Perfect Antivenom, Antifreeze Solution, and Insulated Conductor) help reduce damage taken by a considerable amount. Even if you're not the most tanky, becoming immune to the DoTs is very useful.
Important details for hanged man: 1. Somebody must be physically carrying the cube when u destroy his enraged weakpoint in his mouth to get the tube to drain. 2. You should try to destroy the mouth piece more than once when the cube is removed because it only drains the tubes by a portion and not fully so if you want more time to deal damage you want to empty the tubes out as much as u can. 3. When hes enraged, try to stay a bit closer because his attack gets wider the farther you stand from him and its easier to avoid if you are closer
you can use gleys with rocket to easily take out swamp walker legs. In fact, you don't even need to do the fire mechanic, u can just simply kill it berfore he gets to that phase.
Executioner buffs himself with the defense up(I think is every single time he enters the frenzy) so you want something like the mod to remove the buff when breaks the parts or piercing light to hit the weak point and the remove the buff
Finally did the pyromaniac with lvl 35 valby. Ignoring the hummingbirds and only attacking the kingfishers when he’s in frenzied mode. Kept the water damage coming. At last!
yea think im going to be stuck on ice dude for the forceable future. on a side not wonder if the Colosus decendant mod is worth useing that debuffs them when you brake weak points
It's really annoying how toxic the community is around hard void intercepts. People abandon as soon as another player grabs a fire in frostwalker. Stop, take a breath and explain the mechanics so new players actually keep playing. Get that Viessa build video out my Ult Viessa just got done crafting XD 🤣
Later this afternoon!
@@Moxsy bet 🙏
@@Moxsy Increase HP does not work without HP on external components. Also stacking resistance is good for players that don't swipe for Forma like there is no tomorrow. Also good for them is the % based resistance + immunity mods - DB is much easier if you are not getting stun-frozen every 5 seconds, but that mod is dang insane hard to grind (its on a VOID reactor Hard mode) - the rest of the immunity series are easy.
Im extremely jealous and saddened by this comment 😢😢
Bro…I know I’m late to the party, but I’ve been seeing your videos pop up and they’ve been very helpful. Want you to know the thing that got me over the line to sub was that shameless plug section just live the straight up lack of tact in the naming of the section lol.
Used the hold onto yellow piece to stall immunity phase my first fight after watching this and it was great.
Nice info i m not aware the range bar tricks thanks
Finished watching, thanks for the guide.
After being stuck on pyromaniac for hours, i ended up steamrolling swamp walker on my first try. It was like getting a breath of fresh air
you can use gleys with rocket to easily take out swamp walker legs. In fact, you don't even need to do the fire mechanic, u can just simply kill it berfore he gets to that phase.
love the walk through!
Great vid as always!
If you're having ammo issues equip a 2nd general gun and mod it for max general rounds. Swap to gun to pick up ammo then swap back.
Awesome guide thanks!
This drops right after I finish normal mod. Perfect timing
Great information thanks 😅
15:54 Im having the same lag time to time. They need to fix that. I have 4080 and ryzen 7 7800x3d. I dont think the problem is my pc...
Crazy helpful, subscribed.
40-45K DEF is where you start seeing diminishing returns. So that's the best stopping point unless you're running Ajax.
I find it funny how molten fortress is a complete pushover after frost walker
You forgot to mention that if you’re cubed in the obstructor fight it’ll increase his immune phase until the person is taken out of the cube
new players should be required to watch this, and if you dont agree i want you to attempt frost walker with randoms until you do
Executioner buffs himself with the defense up(I think is every single time he enters the frenzy) so you want something like the mod to remove the buff when breaks the parts or piercing light to hit the weak point and the remove the buff
Good stuff helped me out a lot
Been doing frostwalker for 2 days and ive only survived one wipe. Idk why people seem to just not shoot weak spots
Finally did the pyromaniac with lvl 35 valby. Ignoring the hummingbirds and only attacking the kingfishers when he’s in frenzied mode. Kept the water damage coming. At last!
Dropped dead bribe first time thanks to this video 🎉
Thanks for the great video definitely helpful for us casuals
yea think im going to be stuck on ice dude for the forceable future. on a side not wonder if the Colosus decendant mod is worth useing that debuffs them when you brake weak points
Good info. Did nit know some of this.
love it how im tanky now but deal so less dmg that the time runs out
It's really annoying how toxic the community is around hard void intercepts. People abandon as soon as another player grabs a fire in frostwalker. Stop, take a breath and explain the mechanics so new players actually keep playing. Don't flame them because up until frost walker it was pretty much just "shoot and don't get shot"
Also thanks for making a video on each boss.
Nice very informative thanks man.
Just beat pyromancer thanks to this thank you so much for making this video
this is a good overview
