Zyklop is great. I have Dawesome Kult and was a bit overwhelmed by Myth. The synth is like a stripped down version with the essentials and one oscillator, but you can get amazing sounds out of it
@@AlexReidStudios Ditto. The Focusrite is underrrated! It's just a bit challenging to discover its use cases and get the required experience. But then, it does a fantastic job, super powerful, esp. the wide range of the EQ controls, stil lsounding clean, when cranked up, and this is also very useful when we place the EQ in the side chain. Like, sorting out some cymbal and overhead stuff, having frequency-dependent compression and even de-essing additionally.
rhodes pianos are one of the few types of instruments that actually sound better to me when they are being synthesized with physical modelling algorithms rather than as a multisampler, because then every single velocity value has its own unique sound character and they all transition to each other seamlessly, which makes it super easy to design an expressive composition even if the accuracy of the overall sound quality is limited when you can't just playback actual recordings of real rhodes pianos.
@AlexReidStudios the one in your video is sample-based. that's why i'm wondering how expressive it is. the audio example you put there layers the rhodes with some other stuff that makes it a bit hard to hear what comes from the rhodes plugin though
Dude! Your English is great - I'm guessing you are Eastern European from your accent. No, really good, and you spotted stuff no one else has seen. Kudos and keep on rockin'
I had AD2 in my cart, downloaded the demo, played around with it and almost bought it cause i love XO. And then i remembered i bave Mdrummer already, so for once i actually said no to the new plugin and just took the time to learn mdrummer.. which took me forever to get to a point where i can use it competently and i am really loving it for acoustic drums.
@AlexReidStudios AD2 sounded so good. Like I said, I think i even had the credit card info punched in and decided to learn mdrummer. If you don't already use the melda stuff or have the complete bundle tho, I can't reccomend it. Their stuff has such a steep learning curve. I spend the better part of 2-3 days learning mdrummer. Maybe I'm dumb, but it was really hard to grasp how it all worked. I also think the melda stuff doesn't have the sparkle that the new AD2 update has. But mdrummer gives you access to almost all the melda stuff as snap in plugins, think of phaseplant but its melda, that's how msoundfactory, mpowersynth, mdrummer and their version of snap heap MXXX are. So if you get the bundle it can be a powerful sound design tool. My go to drum sounds tho are - -Drumcomputer if I wanna get weird -XO if I need to find a sound or just want a quick loop -triaz if I want something in between And now mdrummer if I want acoustic drums Also since jumping into bitwig, I use alot of their stock drumming options as well, which i never did in reaper.
I only got a few fabfilter that I do want to get, so if the only do black friday sales...well it will take a while to get those I want hehe. But I will go for Triaz, I thought about live and addictive drums but live was weird and the cloud thing I don't trust to much, for drums, well don't use much of realistic drums so maybe the addictive is for next year
I want to buy only one TDR plugin. Which should I get, Kotelnikov GE or Molot? Also I cant see that 10€ deal on Molot. I think I deleted the email by accident
I just bought ArcSyn. Very nice synth on sale now on Audio Plugin Deals. About 18 bucks. Else it's 100 bucks. I am not very good at sound design. Still I made a few sounds from scratch with it. Maybe check that one out.
I've been pondering D16's emulations for a while now, but they just overlap too much with what I already have. I am interested in their drum sample pack that's also 50% off right now to throw on my SP-404, however. Oh, and speaking of Rhodes, it's interesting that they made the Cherry Audio emulation official. I use CA synths more often than Arturia, so it's nice to see them getting more attention. I also can't wait to see what they're announcing next week.
I keep trying to buy it but the layers of (very unnecessary)security make it frustrating. What else are they selling that they need so many layers of security? Yellow Cake Uranium? VX nerve gas? Little boys?
I still can't decide between V Collection and Analog Lab Pro upgrades... It's $100 difference between my deals, but I am not sure I really need or would use V to it's fullest.
As I said, if you have 4 or 5 instruments you would use regularly, then go for it, if not then Analog Lab Pro is a great option. Also think that the Collection right now is missing the Synthx and the Minibrute, and I think they are in Analog Lab
If you have just AL Pro, you can‘t tweak the sounds in much detail. If you own VC, you have AL Pro and you can open all synths and tweak them in AL Pro. For me just AL makes no sense. But the VC is so much, you will not use all. I sold mine and wait for a good deal on u-he Diva because of the better sound quality.
