Cableways new plugin Snapback can add texture to your signal (not only for drums but made for that in the first place). You can tweak the attack, release, pitch and volume of the texture (foley and fx) for a kinda preroll or a transient texture. It's very nice to try out with the many possibilities as you can drag in your own samples as a texture too!
waves curves equalizer is a really good alternative to soothe2, personally sounds smoother to me. For those who want Pro Q3, check out toneboosters equalizer pro, super cheap with same functions. Tho i think pro q3 still wins in terms of quality.
