This is what I feel we're missing today: THE GRACIOUSNESS. Everyone is so gracious with each other. And I'm not that old, so I don't remember people even being this way. I was 3 when this show was on the air. But there's no "Hey, s'up?" "yea, you?" "cool." There is just so much poise and graciousness that's all I can think of to say. I wish we could bring that back in our daily conversation.
I agree Elizabeth, the language has gone down the drain with those so called cool abreviations. It really shows a persons pedigree when those examples you described are used. It's as though you're listening to a half witted moron.
@@Oceangirl_505 I think he was difficult to be married to. Kathlyn Gifford went through it- but now she’s has found love again- hopefully an easier and joy filled, non dramatic romance!
Frank Gifford was NOT just a "pretty face." I really liked the way he was thoughtful and cautious, taking the game seriously. I bet he was a truly good guy to know.
The June 15 episode is nonexistent which is why it has always been skipped. The next skipped episode is the August 17 show as that one is also nonexistent.
RIP Betty White! What an amazing person! I am curious, can anyone tell what Frank G said to the lady in the blue about 2:12 minutes into the video? Her facial expressions is what caught my attention. She looked shocked… 🤔
I think he fumbled his words slightly. It sounds like he said 'It wasn't interesting the way you played it,' but he probably meant, 'It was interesting the way you played it.'
I was surprised Frank Gifford would play on this game.He just doesn't seem like the type who'd want to do that.Betty looks good but odd with dark brown hair...I'm so used to her blondish hair from ever since the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

I heard it as "cloak'n', but that technically would've been two words. And who ever heard of a cloak'n'suitor anyhow? Insane clue. Why not just "wooer"?
Yeah this was a weird one. There's a pretty old-school term, "clock and suiter," which meant someone in the garment industry (and usually implying a Jewish person). Often it was semi-pejorative when used to insult someone w/new money, implying they were just jumped-up peddler/tailors. But for the life of me I can't think why the clue wouldn't have been buzzed for being two words--even if he was trying to get away with "cloak'n'____." Strange. Plus why not use wooer or courter? Guess it's easy for me to judge. You never know what the mind comes up with under pressure.
Shirley Bates was my mother. So proud of her! I remember watching her on TV that day.
she did fantastic. I see your sister was on here too.
Shirley Bates was my Mom. She is not with us any longer but my Sibs and I love watching this! We like the Betty White high fives
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my mom when I was 7 in 1970. It's nice you can have this. Your mom was very pretty , classy and a great player.
Wow, how wonderful that you have this clip to remember your mom by!❤
Bev, your mom was among the best at Password that I've seen.
Your mom was an amazing password player. So happy you have this episode as a sweet memory.
I love Betty's pastel pattern dress. It's so 60s!
What a gentleman Allen Ludden was! This man had wonderful values and Betty is a national treasure. Great couple. I wish they had more years together.

@@Skip-sy2th Exactly. We have definitely slid down on the intelligence and grace level. It’s sad.
Totally agree!!
And not one cuss word !!!
I totally agree. And the way they dress is so elegant!
Shirley was an absolute ace. What an amazing player.
Summer of love was rolling, but America still had its wonderful culture, as witnessed on this show 👏🙏🇺🇸
Like that Frank stood to greet each contestant.
Frank was soooo good looking, could play football, was on Monday Night Football as a commenter and was a great dad!
Right?!
Frank’s demeanor shows he’s such a gentleman !!!
And, he ran around on both of his wives.

People dressed so much nicer back then, even the audience members.
They expected it of each other. No one expects anything of anyone anymore. Just a check from the government.
How adorable is Betty white though !! ❤️ her laugh is just adorable 🥰
She’s gorgeous
Love Betty's clothes!
I loved her top
Lilly Pullitzer colors

I saw him later on. He was a smart and handsome guy. And Betty White was hot! Great dimples👏
Johnny Carson didn't like him. His wife had a SHRINE in her bedroom to Frank Gifford.
I was impressed with Frank too. Legitimate contender to play with Betty.

Allen Ludden was a class act. R.I.P. Hope he and Betty White are together again.
I love Betty’s dress here!
I love Betty's giggle before they turned the lights on
Betty and Frank played a good game together. Both good players. You had to measure up to Betty.
I'm loving this also Binging Password

I like Betty smile
Her dimples are so cute
The previous episode is missing, darn it! I wanted to see who played the lightning round.
20:40 The old man wanted to be the first one to the exit. 😄
Shirley Bates, just wow. The Jimi Hendrix of Password contestants.
Why can TV shows be like this anymore?
Crystal Nibarger Because they are primarily about cussing, sex, and crassness and are hardly predicated around family viewing.
Betty looks so youg and beautiful and smart.

Back when people had class. Allen was a gentleman.
Betty ❤️❤️❤️
Is this the same Betty White from Golden girls ?
the one & only :)
And the very best Password player ever! And she married the host!!!!
there were also jokes in the golden girls about her character, Rose, not having her natural hair color
Yes, the incomparable Betty White, who met Allen Ludden on Password in 1961, and married him two years later. ❤️
She sounds so much the same too.
Definitely doesn't seem like a smoker!

Does anybody know who's the announcer that's whispering the passwords
Jack Clark, he also announced “Wheel of Fortune” for a few years! 😄 Hope that helped you!

They did t have the option to pass. I guess that came with Password Plus.
How did Frank get away with saying "Hair" as a clue for "Haircut"?!?
Wishing someone would say pursuer.
You can't use the word "hair" for haircut.
Thought the same. Clearly should have tossed out.
how did kathy gifford ever land hot frank??
She was gorgeous when she was young!
She got quite slim and beautiful and was a lot younger than him. He felt lucky to be with her I am sure…
