    I liked a lot of TV game shows during the 1964-1979 era, of which I was a child and teen during.My brothers and I would watch these during summer or if we had the flu during school season.I always loved that man's voice who spoke each word as it appeared on screen, he sounded relaxing.I liked Password Plus, but can't recall what the plus referred to.The relaxing voice wasn't on that version.I thought Liars Club was educational, you could learn about odd items.Many of those old game shows were good...Price is Right (I remember grouchy Dennis James), original Let's Make a Deal, Newlywed Game, Hollywood Squares, What's my Line, Card Sharks, Name that tune, Gong Show, Family Feud, Truth or Consequences, Match Game, etc.Those I listed I refer to the originals, from before 1979, not the remakes.Dick Clark's 25,000 Pyramid was good, Klinger was on it several times.He was very sharp.Alot of the classic TV stars were on those original games.Alan Ludden was one of the best game hosts, as was Bert Convy, Bob Barker, and Dick Clark.What's funny but simplistically pleasant is seeing the prizes from back then.And many of the female contestants are housewives.

    I recently discovered that more episodes of Password can now be seen on You Tube, and maybe all of them that did appear on GSN long after CBS had them first now can be observed again! This is just one of over 300 existing Password shows from the CBS series--1962 to 1967. (Also existing are the few programs from ABC Password, and many of Password Plus and Super Password--after Allen Ludden's passing in 1981.)

    Career wise, this was pretty much Carol's lowest ebb. She'd become a star from the Gary Moore Show but her career was floundering at this point. In the fall of '67 (about three months after this episode) she debuted her variety show & the rest is history.

    • @jasonbeard4713
      @jasonbeard4713 2 місяці тому

      She was NOT "floundering". She loved playing Password and was keeping her visibility. In addition, she was supporting herself and preparing for her series while maintaining her popularity. If that's "floundering", then everyone should be so lucky. Password was NOT a "low ebb", it was a highly entertaining program which demanded calculated strategy and keen knowledge.

      @lynnturman8157 The TIME may have been low for her, but APPEARING on Password was never a low ebb. Pray tell WHY then did she state that her favorite game show was Password? She also appeared on PW in 1962, 1971, and I am sure many other times.

    When this episode of Password first went on the air, the Toronto Maple Leafs just won the Stanley Cup! But then that whistle blew before a team had 25 points. Nobody knew that since that moment that would seem frightening to the Maple Leafs, the team is still looking for another Stanley Cup championship meaning they haven't won it since! Yes, even the Cubs won a World Series since 1967, the year the original Password show was cancelled!
    (I was at school in Brooklyn on that day and missed the show--I believe!)
