From a Mercedes Benz reviewer, this is an incredible masterpiece. You really can’t go wrong with a G wagon, at all. High tech with all the bells and whistles. Ultimate off-road and camping 🏕 SUV.
Wonderful setup this! You must be so great full for having been give the pleasure of using it. Bring down south in africa and you’ll love the top bed 👌
What a vehicle! I love my rice but it took me awhile to learn not to burn the bottom, the method best for me is, I wash the rice real well drain, Warm the pot put a tablespoon of oil in, fry the rice till it dances than put the water or broth in, stir bring to a boil, cover turn off heat fifteen or so minutes when the rest of the meal is cooked so is the rice. I hope this helps sweet girl continue to be safe n lots of fun on your journey.
The basic G is built in my hometown Graz (Austria), but the total rig is as german as it gets. Technical nerdism and overengineering everywhere, lovely! 😍😍😍
Apart from the beautiful landscape and an incredibly capable vehicle, the narration was excellent. This style of involved story telling is often missing in professional content but thanks to alternative platforms, independent story tellers, who would not be part of organized companies are being discovered and appreciated by people world over.
Wow Tim and Rike have done an amazing job doing up this vehicle. Hot showers and fancy little glasses and.... What could be better. Would like to add that I love listening to both of your voices. Love your accent Dana and Lou has such a superb gentle voice for presenting. Much love from Switzerland.
Eu não entendo nada do que você falou , mas quando você sorri eu entendo que você está super feliz por estar em sua casa , e isso que importa , estar feliz , sentir-se feliz 🍀🍀🍀👍👍👍👏👏👏
I so much enjoy yalls dispositions🥰😘😉😊. You are so unlike so many other You Tubers whom are better seen than heard or who just should make videos with CC on them🤔😉🤣. I figured id be done with your page after yall sold the van but your smile kept me coming back😉😉😉😊😊😊. keep em coming.
If I had seen the scenery in a painting I am not sure I would of thought it was realistic. Spectacular scenery, what a grand adventure .... thanks for sharing. Loved the music and the video. Until next week stay safe.
Nicely done! I'm a millionaire and money no problem ...I went to get a $1 pizza slice the other day and I just loved it .I'm planning on buying a Pizzateria and posting it on UA-cam .
My 02 crv has been through deeper water much much deeper lol im sure this thing is much more capable than you think i also didn’t have a snorkel great video awesome van i always loved the g wagon best luxury vehicle on the planet imho
My grandfather did that with his G Wagon in the 1980's :) but just with a 72hp engine :D Now ich have a G-Wagon too and I'll prepare it for such journeys and more :)
Yes, you have to be super rich to do this, but it’s great to see people using their wealth to live, and I mean, truly live, not just go to a boring country club and be snobs. Amazing build and great video!
What a most beautiful and wonderful place, friends, you are to be congratulated, Thanks for the images and the soundtrack. I loved getting to know the place. Surely you have gained a faithful friend to be able to enjoy your corner here. In my corner you will find itineraries of trips and campsites in Brazil. What we do with a lot of affection, if you like to travel for a short trip there in my corner and I will be very pleased to receive you.
Hi there, I have been following your episodes on Iceland. Nice videos and fun to see your perspective on my country. I do overlanding as well in one of those big modified 4x4's. I am sure you saw at least one of those on your travels here. I want to correct one thing in your video. You can wildcamp in Iceland, but there are caveats. You cannot sleep in a motorised vehicle or in something that is pulled by a motorised vehicle. So it must be a tent/bivy or sleep directly under the stars. It must be on untilled land and not fenced in. There must be no visible sign from a landowner prohibiting camping. You must be a reasonable distance away from an organised campsite or human dwelling. You are only allowed to camp for one night at a time in that spot. No more than three tents are allowed in one group. If you are in a vehicle then it must be legally parked somewhere. You cant drive the car into a wildcamp site as that would be illegal offroad driving, so obviously these caveats are meant for hikers and cyclists, but if you can manage to park your car legally somewhere and bring a tent, then it is doable. Wildcamping is prohibited in South Iceland, but anywhere else it is allowed as long as you follow these rules. If you ever return to Iceland, then I recommend either coming in march and try to go for a "superjeep" on a glacier, or visit during july and august and aim for the far less trodden areas, like the North East and Westfjords.
Perfect if we were ever in a situation where we needed to socially isolate. Oh, yeah. #backtorealiaty. Beautiful build and a great walk around / tour. Thanks for sharing.
I don't even know how to drive but you make me wanna try van life so bad! Now I'm traveling as cheap as possible making videos for hostels in exchange for accommodation but maybe in the future! You guys have a unique storytelling style (:
What a nice G-Wagon. Have one myself but with the normal body. thinking of building a smaller version of the one you drive to, at first, explore norway where i live with my gf. But the extra room inside looks so cosy. Might have to rethink my plans. Have a nice time!
2.57 burned rice - buy a "Bain Marie" double saucepan, one on top of the other, fill the bottom with some water - but do NOT let it boil dry - and you will never burn rice again.
Instead of that You could buy Toyota landcruiser pickup flatbed truck It would be cheap and more reliable than G wagon And its super easy to maintain it
Hey, i hope you enjoyed my country. One thing i am going to mention, you really should have a wading stick/staff when going out in the rivers. Nice videos from you two.
Amazing setup! But I am kind of amazed they didn't install the ARB compressor somewhere to work automatically with valve and you need to take it out and connect to the engine each time
"build on a budget"? don't think so, the car itself blow most peoples budget - not to mention the the build itself. That dream machine is a luxury, not on budget...
Hi could you please let me know how much the cabin (camper) cast to create behind your G class. I like the idea and I want to make something on my toyota landcruser.
We have something similar but it's a chopped & stretched Toyota Landcruiser 200 series with a 'Trayon' on the back. We've taken it across the Simpson Desert in Australia and many other remote places. Just love it. The Trayon is a slide on camper which we can actually take off the back as a stand alone unit and use the vehicle separately. I'm not sure if you mentioned it in the video, but what does the camper on the back of yours weigh?
I laughed a lot during this video. Also, damn Tim! What a kick ass build! I’d be worried with only one battery but hell if the sun is out you’re golden! That build is beautiful! I had to sub! Loved the personality of the couple! Looking forward to more adventures
Very nice vid, people, and an awesome vehicle. I actually like Alcohol stoves used in boats in the ADV Van rather than being so electric battery dependent with complex systems. Then there is the ventilation. Cooking and range hood vent capture should be an integral design unit, in my opinion. NOT fill the living space with smells, smoke, steam. Asthma induced by smoke in a remote area is not good, cooking stains on interior of a $100k + vehicle . . . just not cool. But, that is me being picky. Oh, always need bicycle rack someplace too . . . off back maybe. So terrific overall.
Thanks for doing this video 🥰, really was looking forward to the tour after watching your previous videos. Wow this is one of the best setups I have seen. I like smaller trucks over large trucks; they are easier to travel with, easier to ship, easier to park. Very cool ❤️!
Great camper but where is the diesel heater? You do have one don't you? I have a similar setup here in Australia and the winter nights are very cold in the outback. Diesel heater has transformed the way we camp.
A tip when driving a 4WD vehicle is to keep your thumbs on the steering when, don’t wrap them as you usually do. If you hit a rut or a rock, the steering wheel can twist and break your thumbs 👍

The things money can buy... Insane
Seriously prob cost what I paid for a house (most likely more)
Levent Oerkue and they say money can’t buy happiness.
But Money can buy this and I'd say it's pretty close to happieness
soooooo....money can buy happiness. yep :)=
Ridiculous, OVERLAND without comfy sacrifices
I love the tender way your husband teaches you things like the air compressor--so wonderfully sweet!
Apart from the beautiful landscape and an incredibly capable vehicle, the narration was excellent. Love this Offroad series :) Lou's video editing has been getting better and better! Greetings from Portugal!

Lol one of the few G-Wagons that have actual off road experience.
Really awesome build!
What an incredible build! Thanks for taking us along.
I love that the van ist called "Gregor the dirty" - how fitting for his off-road adventures!
Ky
Australia s selling long wheel base g 350d ute/pick up u called. Much cheaper and capble than g 350 suv. Cuz less electronic means safe.
Indeed a much better and logical option.

Wow, what a car! German engineering at its best! Hard not to get jealous!

Y’all have such a beautiful life! Thank you for sharing these moments with us! How lovely 🌸
This build is amazing and this video presented and produced as well as the 4x4 itself! Well done!
That is Mercedes Benz and German engineering. The Best of all.
This is one of the my favorite van car i have seen on youtube. You guys did great job.
Nicely done! I'm a millionaire and money no problem ...I went to get a $1 pizza slice the other day and I just loved it .I'm planning on buying a Pizzateria and posting it on UA-cam .
Brilliant off road camper. Very clever design.
Was having a slow day, opened up youtube and I'm right on time for the video. gonna be a good day
also this van is incredible! I wish they sold it as it is now, as well, instead of having to do such an extensive and expensive renovation
My 02 crv has been through deeper water much much deeper lol im sure this thing is much more capable than you think i also didn’t have a snorkel great video awesome van i always loved the g wagon best luxury vehicle on the planet imho
I loved Ody so much but Gregor is a straight beast!!!
Step 1. Have a family member who owns a kick ass van!
My grandfather did that with his G Wagon in the 1980's :) but just with a 72hp engine :D Now ich have a G-Wagon too and I'll prepare it for such journeys and more :)
@@felix_themechanic7095 sounds awesome!

Extend the exhaust up to roof level - no more worries - great wagon.
I have no words, you are incredible! Congratulations

Definitely has a few more creature comforts than my old defender 110!

OMG, looks like you guys got this van from a movie! I love it. Every single video makes my travel bug grow big haha
This is pretty awesome. Its like a dream mobile. I am not sure I would have the balls to chop a new mercedes in half.
Yessssss ! Suddenly wanting Gregor stickers !😍 lovely video 💙💙💙
Super machine and persons ! To go everywhere......Travel light!
Nice to watch the such modification👍

Great tour of this vehicle. I am jealous. Seems like the perfect van to take anywhere and for survival too.
What a beautiful setup! Hoping my Landcruiser Troopy can do all that 🙏. Unfortunately I don’t think I have the budget Tim did. 🤔
Epic 4wd setup, really a round the world car!
Nice, simple and sincere...great video
