Hi ian That pilot with the moth...considering the way it was rocking In the wind.... Absolutely bang on 2 point landing. Well done Cheryl good bit of filming...
Great video Ian. Lot of my favourite models were there. I have to admire the skills and of the WW1 model pilots, takes confidence to fly a scale bi-plane in blustery conditions.
Very nice guys, I bet you had loads of video to sort through as well. Sorry about nearly getting my head in the way of the Spitfire fly past, (twice!) 😀 That camera's got a pretty good zoom, I felt like I was on the flight line at times. Isn't it amazing how quickly the WW1 biplanes took to the air, I didn't notice that from my standpoint, I know they had a decent headwind but impressive none the less 👍
Thanks Cliff, yes the camera has a good zoom but I only use the optical zoom it goes further with Digital zoom but I don't like it messes the quality up!! Yes the Dawn patrol got up very quickly didn't they!! Ahh you weren't in the way and you was enjoying the Spitfire moment Lol I had a lot of footage but I didn't want to include any 3D or flights with music!! Because of the copyright!! Thanks for watching and commenting Cliff 😄👍
Hi Ian … I loved this video… I really wanted to go to Woodspring this year but conflicted with my holiday … Great video and made up for not going … Really hope to go next year .. Thanks… Michael
Some nice models at the airshow Ian. Thanks to yourself and Cheryl for filming it. His back was to the camera but I'm sure it was him, I know the builder of the Tiger Moth as lives in the same town as me, so it was nice to see that one flying 😍
That was the highlight of the show for me Carl, he flew that Tigermoth to perfection!! No flashy tricks just a wicked scale flight and an amazing landing, I filmed that one and was very pleased with the results!! Thanks for watching and commenting and I'm pleased you enjoyed it 😄👍
Great video Ian! Nice to see Cheryl and put a face to the name...charming lady you have my friend. Loved all the planes...I have a soft spot for WWI planes and loved the big 1/3 Sopwith Pup. I just test flew a 1/4 Pup for a buddy. It had a Saito 3 cyl. radial. Awesome. We will have a video on it on our channel at some point. Loved the show...great coverage and thanks for sharing it with us! What was your favorite plane there?
For me the Highlight of the show was the big Tigermoth!! I thought it was flown fantastic and looked full size, but I also love the WW1 Bi Planes, always enjoy watching them!! But of course I've got to mention the Lancaster and Spitfire, both model and full size!! They were amazing too!! I'm a scale sort of Guy, not into the 3D stuff or the Gas turbine Jets, just enjoy watching a Scale model flying like it's full size counterpart!! Those WW1 Bi Planes are as the commentator said " Museum quality and very accurate detail " I'm in awe of anyone that can build a plane like that!! Let me know when you post the video of the 1/4 scale Pup I'd love to see that!! Thanks for watching and commenting 😄👍
@@IansRCExploits I love scale flying and we plan to post a lot of that ourselves. If Tiger Moths are one of your favorites you need to look into getting yourself a Dynam Tiger Moth...I owned one years ago and they are still available. It is one of the best flying scale foamies I've ever had. The electronics are known to be cheap with Dynam but they fly really well. There is a simple gear mod that is necessary to rake the gear more forward so it doesn't nose over in grass...and it works. I flew mine off a soccer field exclusively for a year. This mod how to is covered in the RC Groups thread on the plane. I think you'd love the way it flies.
@@IansRCExploits Lol...wow. What a goof I am! I will go watch your Tiger Moth videos tonight!! Can't wait to hear what you think of it. Glad you have one!
Ian i don't know what you're opinion is, but personally, i would absolutely love to get myself one of those older style Bi-Planes!? They seem to fly so gracefully and ( I assume ) they are good for very low and slow peaceful flying!? The wing area squared relative the fuse seems to be quite substantial, so i assume they will fly at very low speeds mate ? Ian what a beautiful life you're living hey mate!? Loving loyal Wife who allows you to indulge in and indeed helps you indulge in your passion for models, flying, making videos and sharing, travelling to amazing events like this!? Life is looking good my friend!! Thanks for an awesome vid Ian! Wes, Liverpool UK.
Yes Wes I do love the WW1 planes, the Dawn patrol as they're called are I think 1/3 scale!! They are massive planes, and they fly them so well, I was impressed that they coped with such heavy winds!! Yep Cheryl is one in a million, she loves the hobby and really enjoys going to the shows!! Although I have to say we are not married Lol I was married for 24 years but separated and was treated rather badly by the X wife!! I met Cheryl after about a year of being single!! And I haven't looked back!! She is a fantastic Girlfriend and supports me in everything I do!! We will be moving in together soon, so yes as you say " life is good " Thank you for the great comment and the support of my UA-cam channel, it is much appreciated 😄👍
@@IansRCExploits oh right i understand mate. I know how hard it can be when you're being treated badly by X partners so I'm mega happy for you that you've found such a wonderful lady to share life with Ian! I'm, been single myself for 3 years after a terrible experience with a long term partner and i really hope some day i meet a good woman too mate! You're very welcome Ian! I love the channel thanks mate!! Wes.
I think it was because we got there early!! I did get quite busy by lunch time, but there weren't as many vendors this year!! Thanks for watching and commenting 😄👍
Thank you for the video but OMG why does the bloke on the mic feel the need to fill every second with drivel?...... Even when the Spitfire is flying please!!!
That was a great video Ian felt like I was their. 😊
Until, Cliff kept poking his head in shot. 😊
🤣😂 that's funny Stephen!! Glad you enjoyed Cliff's head!! Ooh I mean the video😄👍
