- Recently Audi chose the wide open spaces of Nevada to showcase the 2014 Audi RS 7 to a select group of automotive journalists. Driving a supercar through the desert is something to check off one's bucket list. The Audi RS 7 may not seem like more that an ordinary luxury sedan, but make no bones about it: the RS 7 is a supercar. The 2014 Audi RS 7 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0 liter V-8 engine that produces 560 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed tiptronic unit that sends power to all 4 wheels via Audi's world famous Quattro AWD system. The top speed is said to be 175 MPH with a 0-60 MPH time of 3.7 seconds.

Audi underrates it's performances
Car and Driver clocked the S6 with "420" horsepower at 3.7 sec from 0-60.
Motortrend the bigger and heavier S8 with "520" horsepower at 3.5 sec.
The RS6 (not in the US) and RS7 have been clocked at 3.3, although not with the same precise measurement devices, so im curious what the RS7 will actually do.
Franciscus van Meel, CEO of quattro gmbh promised the RS / will significantly better the times of the S8. No doubt that we are talking supercar performance here

Love the car, but u gotta admit the touch screen is too high and hinders forward visibility. Funny thing is if an American car company did that all u media folks be up in arms. All European car makers r doing it and mums the word. Everything is just peachy. Certainly a double standard.
