Turkey Hunting Minnesota 2023 - BIRD DOWN!

- Turkey season 2023 started with a bang! Join me as I fly out to Minnesota to hunt with Alex Comstock and the @whitetaildna crew. We had some unexpected challenges due to flooding and had to use a row boat to access our hunting property. With 3 cameramen, not only did the crew lay down some of the best spring turkey hunting footage you'll ever see but we got to capture the hunt from multiple perspectives. It is not too often you get to take a turkey out by boat! Turkey hunting Minnesota definitely did not disappoint! A huge thanks goes out to Alex, Luke, and Nate for being there for my first turkey! Hope you all enjoy and make sure to check out their channel!

Awesome work on the vid, went by too quick!
Thanks brotha! Appreciate you having me out again!
That was a big turkey
Was a tasty one too!
Trinity Dairy gave a shout out to you and whitetail dna. Great channels! New subscriber.
That is awesome! Thanks for following along!
That’s one hell of a hunt! I’ve never had turkey come in like that during season. I’ve only ever taken a bird from a group of 1-3. Whoever was calling for you was also an absolute champion!
Luke is a killer with a mouth call for sure...
Very memorable hunt! At least you paddled back...since they did all the pre-scouting! Congratulations!!
Certainly did plenty of paddling throughout the week...
Great hunt and awesome footage! Looks like a hunt you will never forget!
Definitely a memorable adventure!

Alan is the man! Appreciate you checking out the channel!
Congrats on the hunt! Im just across the river from where you guys hunted! If you're ever back up here hunting hit me up and i can show you some spots. Ive hunted allans property and the surrounding properties ever since mn started a turkey season. They definitely picked the right farm to hunt in the area.
Small world! I'll definitely let you know. Certainly seems to be a lot of birds in that area which is encouraging because I've heard that wasn't always the case!
@@NextStepOutdoors his pocket has always held a good number of birds as he farms all his corn within that whole stretch. That large chunk of state land to the north/west of his place and the small isolated chunks of state land along the kettle river are good roosting grounds for birds. But as you guys seen we had flooding so they're impossible to get to. I may try and get out this year yet and try and get another with the bow. I took a 4 bearded Tom a few years back on a property just south of where you guys were hunting. Glad you guys were able to get on some birds! Didn't find any sheds?
@@unclemattsfunnyfarm6012 Hope you can get out still this year and knock one down...I'm not sure I've ever seen a 4 bearded turkey, that is too cool. We didn't find any sheds while we were out there unfortunately, but saw one shedded out buck that looked dwarfed the other deer he was with. Would be excited to see him come fall.
That's why I asked because that's probably the buck who's antlers I'm looking for! There was a really good buck cruising around this fall and I knew he survived rifle season but I wasn't sure about this winter as we got over 130" of snow this year
@@unclemattsfunnyfarm6012 Hopefully you can track down those antlers. Let me know if you do... Would love to see what kind of head gear he was sporting (if iit is the same buck).
