I'm 44 years old. From North Central WV. I started spring turkey hunting last May.
I had always had an interest in it. However, I never knew how to approach it. I bought about every call I could find and watched about 30 hrs of UA-cam. My first outing was very successful . Since that moment I've been counting the minutes to this up coming spring season of 2024.
Great instructions and story in this video. I wish you great success this season
Right on! Spring season is approaching fast and Im just as excited now as i was 30 years ago. It was nice watching you almost step into the woods when giving the mouth calling session. One of the best pieces of advise ive ever been privileged to as a turkey hunter is to be on the offensive, and become your environment. I had an older buddy that it just seemed he could walk into any woodline and walk out with a nice bird. It wasn't until i actually immersed myself in to all the little details of the woods that i became a true woodsman. A good hunter. My daughters and i now have fun calling in a lone gobbler, hen, or even a gaggle to just say we did it, and to learn just that much more about their habits. Its a beautiful art in my opinion. Ill add one more thing here..... Take anyone and everyone who has an interest. A lot of people just didnt get that chance. Its amazing what success in the woods will do for a soul. For me and a lot of others just being in God's creation is enough. Perfect therapy and a reset in reality. Luck to all of you that set out this spring in search of it!
What a video. Nate Hosie is a class act, knowledgeable and humble
Great Advice. I also enjoy all just the simple things in the Turkey woods that just happen. Hawk flying over, squirrel coming down the tree your sitting at, ole porky pine waddling by. Also you must love when the Gobbler wins.
Thanks for sharing some of your experience and advice. I've never tried a cut box. I think I'll look for one and prepare for '25's season.
Appreciate the video fellas don't go unnoticed. Good luck to you all this spring.
I thoroughly love turkey hunting more then deer hunting and you said it right its a art theres times when ill just sit in the woods just to try to call one in whether before season or something
Saturday is the day!!!
Really enjoy your content. Keep it up. I like that cut box also, very cool. My wife will truly enjoy my search for yet another turkey call.
Your right. It’s not just about the kill. Many times I felt successful just getting a bird to respond/ come in as I was learning.
