Ronnie is probably one of, possibly the best, at portraying pain through his voice.
Ronnie absolutely killed this. This dude is so magically talented it’s ridiculous. The lyrics in this version are so much deeper. Also, at the end of the video, he’s reversing what he did at the end of Watch The World Burn. The world is literally Falling In Reverse. This song has been in repeat all day. The piano matched with Ronnie’s singing and vocals are incredible together. We need a whole album like this.
Ronnie can take these "reimaginations" really to another level... emotional... beautiful... devastating... all at the same time...

I think both the original and this version is a perfect representation of where many of us were at the time.
Young and rageful, time passes and it's as if lamenting is all that remains.

i love it that they constantly reference their other music videos, like that very last shot

this song is the modern day equivalent to Jonny Cash’s Hurt. They brought a change of emotion and each really made the song his own while still maintaining a strong connection to the original

Besides the amazing voice of Ronnie, the musical score in this video really brings the emotion of the lyrics forward. Ronnie never misses!

Ronnie will help people who are struggling with this reimagining. It's powerful, beautiful, and chilling. A new favorite from Mr. Radke.
Was surprised by it last night and honestly the way Ronnie carries the lyrics through his voice it helps amplify the way they hit you, the pure emotion and range that this man uses with these reimagined versions is unbelievable and one of the many reasons that’s his one of my favourite artists

I never really listened to the words of Papa Roach’s version. This version gives me 2 different views of the song and different ways it’s felt. I love it
Ronnie really nailed this, the lyrics are really heartbreaking and listening to papa roaches version is very hyped. Love both versions but ronnie really nailed the tone. Disturbed did that with the sound of silence, both Paul and Art praised David for his interpretation of their song. Love your in depth analysis of different songs.

But I totally agree. This song absolutely hits different in this form. Like, I grew up jamming out to this song smiling and rocking out...and now, being older, I dissect the lyrics more, and feel the struggles that the artist was feeling when he wrote it, having been through many of those same struggles myself...and it ABSOLUTELY carries a different meaning and hits different now! ♥

In Papa Roach's version there was agressiveness and probably some hate to all around. But in Ronnie's version there is tiredness and pain. So I would say there are two songs snd two moods. And they are totally different

This is the first video of yours that I have watched. Your raw emotions pulled me right in. I could see the moment where the lyrics hit you so hard. You closed your eyes and when you open them I could see you were almost ready to start crying. The song did the same thing to me the first time I heard it. Can't tell you how many times I've heard last resort, memorized and sung the lyrics. But once they're slowed down they have a complete different meaning. I felt it too

The song is about Jacobys battle with depression. The band thought it was a bit much at first until Jacoby basically said he needed this and they backed him 100%.

This is a super interesting reaction. You get almost giddy listening to his talent and then get pulled into the pain and sadness of the song.
It’s like in the very beginning, the world is upside down, and everything is falling apart around you, and you feel like everything is coming to an end, and this song was made the way it was meant to be made by Ronnie to show everybody at the very end of the song that your world is not falling apart it’s coming together incredible.
The line "contemplating suicide" reminds me CHESTER BENNINGTON 💔💔💔😭😭

Somewhere on UA-cam you will find Ronnie givng Jacobe (lead singer for Papa Roach) a first listen to the track before the release of it. He loved it and gave his blessing for it. The secret with Ronnie on these songs, he does not just sing these, he FEELS these, he puts in such raw emotion into all of his music (at least since Popular Monster). Its obvious (to me at least) that he pours his heart and soul into his music. When people started commenting on all his tatoo's he covered them all with black ink, so people would focus on the music, not the tats. This is a true Artist at work. He does not make it about him, he makes it all about the music. Gotta love this man for his passion.

This is absolutely haunting….
It feels to me similar to Disturbed Sound of Silence and Johnny Cash Hurt. These covers really allowed the lyrics to tell their heartbreaking stories how they really wanted to be heard.

I love that this song was iconic even though he talks about crying and not feeling strong. It's super 90s pop punk that it became popular even though being a man in the 90s for most people meant not showing emotion they still sing along. I was probably too young be also singing along as well but the negative lyrics weren't impacting me I didn't really think too hard about what they meant it was just a cool song. That riff is fast because it's representing a chaotic or panic and it's resembling like an elevated heart rate or brain going a mile a minute when your trying to calm down. When he talks about Loosing sight he probably is talking Loosing hope. Being in a hopeless place where you don't believe things will be okay or ever get better is a terrifying place to be. This song shows anyone who goes through that they can survive it other people other have dealt with / are dealing with this. It's manageable. People have found a way to live with this. I can do that too. If you can't believe it yourself sometimes you need that something that can bring the believe to you and maybe this knowledge that you aren't alone in the struggle people can get through this and you can be one of those stories.

Usually, the reaction format on youtube is very generic and kind of easy to make, with people that just see things and do not add any value to the content.

Both the original and this one hits me deep because I had my first suicide attempt in the 3rd grade and many more through high school
Many reactions point out the effect of the lyrics hitting home for the first time with this reimagined version. This version is really anempathetic - it's a mismatch of the music and subject matter, like in a movie where they play a happy tune when a character dies at the end. We've stepped the key up a half step and really lean into the F minor pop-like chord progression which gives us something that sounds happy and victorious but the song is all about sorrow and loss and the dissonance is highlighted really well.
I don't know if you noticed, but at the end he started repairing all the damage he did in, "Watch the World Burn." Taken from that perspective, the song is more of a triumphant ending to the story rather than a sad one.

This song has really hit me lately....I want to meet the end of my horror story before the end of the year..
The thing I love most about having this version and the original version is they hit with the two different emotions I feel when I’m struggling with my mental health.. in my mind the original lends itself to the anger and frustration when you don’t know what to do whereas this lends itself more to the sadness and desperation of feeling like the world is crumbling around you

In the ending of the video for Watch The World burn, you see the flames consume the planet at the end. Then in this song, the buildings were being put back together and the flames were receding at the end of this one! Like the world was Saved after being destroyed. The original is good, but as you said the lyrics are the focal point and hit soooo much harder!
