The sound is called a bend. Made my pulling down on the guitar string. And this one is absolutely gorgeous
Or up 🫣 but in this case, being a low string...yes pulling down.
As Nik Nocturnal calls it "a big ol' bendy boy"
@@stevenzwiesler8085 Nik is da booooy
I like real dragged out bends or "dive bombs" there's a really good example of it in the song Tremor by Currents. I am super visual when it comes to music, sounds like paint scenes for me. When I first heard the dive bombs in that song I pictured car crashes and sky scrapers on fire, buckling and collapsing under their own weight, planes dropping out of the sky, just absolute chaos end of the world type shit and boy oh boy it tickles my pickle lol 😂
@@CrazyIrishmen7 Dive bombs are made from a trem instead of just bending the string
You might have noticed, but there's no repetition, no chorus, no nothing and it still works like music should.
That is the beauty of music. If it sound good, it works.
bro's think it's like the only song that has no chorus
@@ohno8262 yes, exactly lol
Yep. the music has no genres
I only know one other band that can pull this off twenty one pilots I love when musicians push boundaries and mix genres and I love radke he’s amazing
The "dictator" scene is literally Stars Wars themed as Ronnie looks like Kylo Ren from the The New Order (the bad guys after the Empire haha). There is a scene in the movie with more or less the same flags and everything. And in the song Ronnie literally says " 'bout to go Darth, 'bout to go Disney" ;)
The First Order. Not New Order lol
@@LordVader66 Sorry, Lord Vader. My bad
@@scharsigo I'm fkin dying at this whole interaction lmao
@@scharsigo Also it's not Kylo, but General Hux. I'll go now!
@@t04sty46 haha no you are right, having the scene in mind. I am just saying Ronnie looks like Kylo.
Yes, it's a guitar. That sound is being made by bending the string BEFORE playing it, then slowly releasing the tension. The sound is more exaggerated due to the guitars being tuned down below standard tuning, which is common these days.
confirm... that was distortion sound guitar exactly ( thx Greg between musicians in fact)
It's usually a bend with a pedal based pitch shift down
Falling In Reverse are in a genre all their own. The whole band is built different and I love it. Great reaction.
Loved this! The "she wasn't ready!" meme is totally appropriate... LOL!!! Ronnie has a lot of "faces", musically. Totally awesome song! Check out his trilogy "Losing my Mind", "Losing My Life" and "Drugs" is EPIC, imo!
Haha I was about to turn off the song for being typical ego rap, wasted special effects on generic, bad lyrics. But I was not ready for that twist when it became metal. I loved it!
@@MyAmazingUsernamenothing generic about FIR
@@larrysims7235 Yeah I love every release of theirs. This was the first thing I heard.
The part where the laptops are falling on the guy is in reference to his issue with Sebastián Bach former lead singer of skid row. Ronnie had to cancel a show because their laptops that did the whole production of the show didn't show up at the venue. Sebastián said that these guys can't sing without the help of a computer and they should put on a show like bands in the old days without technology. So Ronnie and him went back and forth. So Ronnie put it in the video making fun of him. As far as the rapping Ronnie said in an interview he did this because another guy from a band at a concert said he couldn't rap. So he made this song.
Great reply :)
Ronnie has had rap in his songs since 2013…this isnt some new thing he randomly did. The album “Fashionably Late” (2013) included rap elements in every song
@Jeremy Secules yes he has been rapping for quite awhile. He said in the interview that he had been doing a show with other bands and one of the lead singers of one of the bands he didn't get along with was arguing with him and saying he couldn't rap. That was his motivation for the song
That was a guitar, the player was bending the string while the note was being played which made the distortion sound
I'd recommend looking into Ronnie's history. It's honestly tragic and explains a lot about how his music has evolved.
where to look
Does it explain why he brags about knowing about the pedos and predators in his industry but refuses to turn them in? Ronnie chose fame and fortune over helping abuse victims which makes him little more than a glorified predator protector.
Falling in Reverse will always leave you wanting more.
Hahaha your reaction was great! " We're just gonna leave it there" I was laughing my ass off !
That triple-time is insane. The transistion from a rap song to a metal song was completely unexpected if you are not familiar with Falling in Reverse. To me, the whole rap part was surprising but this song is a banger.
Please do a reaction to "Idol" by Yoasobi (they also have released an English version).
5:20 the sound you're talking about is an electric guitar with distortion, and the guitarist is bending the string to create that sound.
And not to forget that they have one of the best drummers in the world behind the kit: Luke MF Holland!
That's true, but to give Ronnie and Tyler Smyth their due credit: Luke said he learned the song right before the video shoot. So it's not him in the recording.
@@KrisThroughGlass thanks I did not know that.
There's always deep meaning in Ronnie's lyrics, this song here is a "Statement"!
Rap+EDM+Symphony+Heavy Metal/Power Metal+Melodic Death Metal
You should really check out Beast in Black. Their music could be described as a mix of power metal and the 1980s disco, and their vocalist has a HUGE range.
Just came across their song Midnight rendezvous last week actually! Captivated me right away!
If you really want to witness the range and genius of Ronnie -- I suggest the live version of this song, it completely adds a dynamic that as a singer, you would appreciate.
The live version is friggin epic
This song is incredible. Symbolizes the power struggle in the world and how we were made to be controlled by the elite and Ronnie is telling us not to believe or allow it. It's not just the music industry, it's all encompassing.
Absolutely. Literally everything thats mass consumed. Except maybe air. Lol Even the visuals in this video mean more than most would believe.
ronnie is a fucking genius musician thats all im saying
The pitch bend is a guitar. You can watch him do it in the video. He's just bending the string so it goes from low to high to low again, obviously quite low here because it's downtuned a bit.
0:32
_is this the future?_
Ronnie: _"yeah"_
Very rarely do I bother commenting on you tube videos. But. I love coming across these reactions and seeing people realize that Ronnie is a genius, lyrically, musically & generally. His music connects with me and millions of others on so many levels and watching other people find that too is so awesome to see.
That was in fact the guitar! 🤘
The sound you were questioning was a guitar. Technical technique is called a "bend"
I clicked on it thinking it was out 😭
Same lol
i agree, the lyrics are absolute fire and his voice changes amaze me every time, great reaction 👍 and that sound is made by guitar, bass and drums.
5:23 is a guitar bending of the strings....most beautiful sound music can offer.
You should check also from Falling in reverse - "Popular Monster" also "Loosing my mind" "loosing my life" and "Drugs"
*losing
5:06 that is 100% a guitar. that sound during the breakdown is a bend
This was the first song I listen to by them and I swear that is the most badass video I have ever seen in my life.
They make a ton of great videos similar to this. Keep listening!
That sound is bending the strings on a guitar. When you pull them to the side of each fret, it increases tension and slightly changes the pitch.
This is a fantastic band and despite all the controversy surrounding their front man, he is a very talented singer and I really appreciate his work!
They’re so amazing! Can’t wait to see them an Red Rocks in July! 😎🤘
Yassss I’m so excitedddd
3:23 Ronnie is not being a dictator, the setting is a star wars reference. And 4:22 he's exorcising the priest based on all the lies the church has been telling mankind for thousands of years
It's guitar. The most expressive instrument ever created
I am a huge FIR fan, that’s what brought me to you, I enjoyed your reaction! I’m going to subscribe to watch you go down the rabbit hole further
Ronnie is awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥
I watched and heard this and got goosebumps and loved it. I thought my reaction was normal, but I think hers may be the general reaction.
The "dictator" imagery is a representation of our current political climate in the US. Where our government is repeatedly trampling on citizens rights and getting closer and closer to an autocracy and further from a democratic republic. It's also playing off of the Star Wars empire theme.
🙄🙄🙄
At 5:34 you can actually see a brief snippet of him doing the bend with the guitar that you were talking about. He pulls the string down to bend the tone
This song had what I would call DYNAMICS! dam, didn't know he was going to go all Rev Jim Jones on them.
Ronnie has be bending and meshing genres for years. Awesome reaction awesome song.
I've been waiting for you to do this one and I"m so glad you did.
This song is an absolute masterpiece. I was very happy to see someone else's reaction to it. And ya, that's a natural guitar sound. No editing :)
It is a low note pitch harmonic, that is bended on the guitar to make the noise 🎉
It sounds AMAZINGG
I got to hear him live 2 weeks ago this song is a masterpiece love
Ray your reactions are the best 😂😂😂
Big fan from Brazil
That was the third Masterpiece... after the first Drug in me Reimagined & the second I'm not a vampire !!!
This Ronnie Radke is a pure genius with Falling in Reverse time after time...
Thx so much Dear & salute from France.
I saw him last month! I was right up front. It was amazing!
Thats awesome. We were near the front for Live from the Unknown, but man that mosh pit was rough.
You the first one from all the reactions I have seen to notice the 2033. It has a special meaning to Ronnie
He truly portrays our internal anger and hatred at things most of us hide daily.
Haha! I like that. After the priest is set on fire, you say “ Let’s go back for a hot second”. Fitting
When you bend the string on a guitar, in this case a 7-string guitar in a drop tuning, the note gets higher since you putting more tension into the string. In the case of the breakdown, he picks the string with the the string already in the bend so as he releases the bend, the note gets lower until it hits the note the string was tuned (at the particular fret he is holding of course).
The fact it’s the same dude from Escape the Fate all those years ago is what has my mind blown. Don’t get me wrong, they weren’t bad, and neither was he, but certainly different and, at least for me, more of a guilty pleasure. And seeing, hearing just how much range and talent the dude really has is awesome.
Watch the world burn live is a must reaction!
The round sound you hear is not electronic, in the guitar world it is known as a bend and that particular bend is *chefskiss* Im a drummer but i first heard that and my brain melted from the sheer heat of that bend.
Ive followed Ronnie since Escape the fate and the guy never disappoints.
I still don’t have the freaking idea how I found you channel. But now you have a Brazilian fan.
The deep "rowl" you hear over and over is the guitar, it's where you pick the string and pull the string down and you can do different speeds to make it sound faster or slower, and in this case, more of it being kind of slow. Also known as a "bend."
The sound you thought was electronic music is a guitar bend. The guitarist is pulling on the strings to change the pitch of the note, you can see how far he is pulling them out of position at 5:33 to 5:35
Just adding some context to the video and lyrics. Ronny’s been in the rock/metal business for a while, FIR was originally a sort of pop punk band with some heavier song in there. Things kinda flipped on its head while Ronny went to prison for a time, I don’t remember what for. Anyways when he got out he already had a couple songs written down and had steadily evolved into what we have now.
Ever since he got out though he’s been very vocal about his politics and other things regarding the industry and has gotten a LOT of enemies for it. The part where the dude in the gold hair getting smashed by computers is a nod to a feud he had prior to the song where an old boomer rock head name Sebastian Bock said he wasn’t a real metal head because he uses synths in his music. Anyways Ronny’s come a long way from before him getting locked up and I love it
This is a lot different than other songs they have made, I was never a fan of them before but I really do like this song
cant wait to see Ronnie's reaction to this
@5:00 thats called a Bend/Breakdown. Would be synth layers, and it pumps that breakdown up HARDER!
Ronnie will do that to you....throw everything I expected out the window. I absolutely love reactors faces at the end when they watch this video. Yes, he went full Brightburn.
hahah my brain did the EXACT same thing the first time i heard a guitar bend like that!
If you haven’t already, you should listen to their song “The Drug in Me is You” the original is a pop punk track, and then they re-releases it as a “reimagined” track. It would be a cool video to listen to both. The pop punk version first and the the reimagined one 😁
It is guitar.
Octave down/detune -2 1/2 steps. Full step pre-bend and release.
If you didn't know he rapped....than you need to check out more of his music.
Popular Monster
Losing my Mind
Losing my Life
Drugs
Voices in my head
lol! @6:14 Yes! That was me my first time, too.
Look up “zombified “ and popular monster. Look into his past, will explain a few things. The “dictator “ part, was inspired by one of the Star Wars movies.
It’s identical to voices in my head when you get to the priest part
As suas reações valeram apena acompanhar seu react ...
You reacted to a Falling in reverse exception. This video is the real FIR
Did you take notice of when he was skydiving out of the airplane he was falling in reverse...
I did not notice that, that is an interesting detail!
You should watch this done live it’s nuts
You have GOT to do a reaction to Dance Gavin Dance, maybe their song Inspire the Liars. The music is so unique in the instrumentals, and the singers voice and his range will blow your mind
To understand this better watch these IN ORDER:

Losing My Mind
Losing My Life

The Drug In Me Is You
The Drug in Me is You (Reimagined)
I'm Not a Vampire
I'm Not a Vampire (Revamped)

Ronnie Radke is the lead singer
Willow is Ronnie's daughter she's in two of these music videos
Remember the year 2033
Ronnie Radke's actually incorporating his story, so much like many of our own, into every detail. Every word and every detail in the video means something. He has been to the bottom and back a few times. Have fun going down the Ronnie Radke AKA the Falling In Reverse rabbit hole! It's a great journey!
Ronnie had a rap mixtape that he put out a long time ago, you were given a link to the website and allowed a free download. It can't be found anywhere now and I wish I still had my copy that I downloaded.
That's a GUITAR! Remember rage against the machine was notorious for being able to make those sounds with their guitars
Been loving your reactions you should do voices in my head by them next
Sou a única brasileira aqui????🇧🇷
Amo falling in reverse! ❤❤❤❤
im fucking amazed at how clear your glasses look hahah i could never keep my glasses clear to save my life no matter what I tried

the scared face is really funny, like what the fuck?😮😂
Definitely been enjoying your FIR reactions!! Liked and subbed!! ❤ Ronnie Radke (lead vocalist) is so very very talented!! I got to see them live last summer and they were phenomenal!!! Please check out "Popular Monster" the trilogy "Losing my Mind" "Losing my Life" and "Drugs" (you have to do those 3 in that order for the trilogy) "Zombified" and "Voices in my Head" All of those are really good...imho
Amazing reaction
Normal people: so what style of music do you perform?
Ronnie Radke: YES
😂 this was one of your best reactions ever
Your reaction is very much like one of the big fans....welcome to falling in reverse. Ronnie Radkey loves messing with our heads and topping his past work 😂❤
Awesome reaction, very enjoyable.
It is guitar what make that "Drop D" note in the 4:49 (in the music video 2:36 )
U cant guess what ronnie is gunna do next, he can do everything
"As you can see, I'm right handed..."... proceeds to hold up left hand...😂

If you want to have fun with metal, and more genre-fusing, check out 'The King Welcomes You to Avatar Country' by Avatar. Yes, there is band named Avatar from Sweden :) don't let the facepaint scare you. You will have alot of fun listening to that song in particular.
