Ronnie Radke, the vocalist, struggled with addiction and did some things that landed him in prison for a few years. While in prison, he wrote the entire first album, which invited the original song (this is a remake). From what I understand, he wrote this song as if he were looking in the mirror at himself. The struggle between the addict inside him and the person he wants to be. Listen to it again, but close your eyes and picture him standing in front of a mirror singing to himself. It might give you a different perspective and feeling. If you decide to check out the other remake, listen to the original first, just for context. The original is I'm Not a Vampire, and the remake is the "Revamped" version.
Absolutely right. My wife are fighting against adictions, and she's assisting an a prevention center. I shared these lyrics to her group and... Well, i just will say that all of them was on tears.
I actually didn't know this but when everything starts to burn at the end I guess it's symbolic of the "dead wood" he had to burn in order to turn his life around.

@@itskaptainmikey4399 Thanks! and things always work out. sometimes you just trip and fall, gotta get back up. But the thing is. your perspective is just as valid. Why I li8ke the rule, everyone you meet knows something you dont, and that could simply be a perspective one is blind, or simply unaware of. I cant say youre wrong about your perspective, youre not. And I like this one too. But music is weird like that, its hard to articulate ones meaning of music, anyway,
My perception of it is what I said above. Mixed with those pained screams. and it is true. When youre in the throes of addiction. everything takes a back seat to the torture youre going through. When it feels like your muscles are being ripped off of your bones, nothing else comes into your mind except desperation. Cant tell you many times I was balled up in a corner, begging god to make it stop, but it didnt. Suboxone was the worse. My internal monologue split. instead of it being me. It was me fighting my intrinsic evil and intrinsic good in my mind. the evil one, saying things like, grab your gun, you can make it stop. stop crying to god, you can make it stop now. the good one. crying out to hold on. and to tell my dad to collect my firearms, because I clearly was losing it.
once that withdraw stopped, it went back to normal. but hind sight. its bizarrely fascinating.
It was symbolic of how one is willing to burn everything around them. And the sudden introduction of this setting also symbolizes how fast and how quickly a relapse can happen and burn the addict, not just those around them.
the last scream fadeing out was saying to me, no they cant see. no matter how much you scream, its like screaming under water.
Now, I do everything to help people get clean if they ask. I dont care if they fail 100 times,. I will always be there to help them up again. just dont give up. and that goes for everything, not just drugs.

Love this song...very unique first look at this band as it sounds very different from their usual sound. It's actually a remake of a song of theirs like 9 years after the original emo/scene version of the song came out. Have to see the original to really appreciate the full genius of this remake. They also did this with their songs "I'm not a Vampire" and "I'm Not a Vampire Revamped" The Revamped version is one of the most epic music videos of all time. If you want to hear their more usual contemporary sound, you should really start with "Popular Monster" and then "Zombified", "Voices in My Head," and "Watch the World Burn"
I dislike most of their other songs, but this one (and Carry One) get to me. I also think that this vocal and musical style is much more complex and interesting than their "normal" style + brings their music to a new level and support the lyrics better.
These are just bangers! I have listened to their older stuff too and found some very interesting songs too, where different music genres were mixed. Fx Alone.
Agree that I'm not a vampire revamped is up there as one of the best music videos. From vocals, music, visuals and the double meaning story telling it is a masterpiece in all areas. Sure, music is subjective, but few videos have you remember them for years. Videos I compare to it for likely longevity would be Thriller and I'd do anything for Love (but I won't do that) as examples.
I love this “rendition”. By far my favorite song of Falling in reverse. I’m so glad you understand the depths of emotion and I hope you do more of this band in particular. Ronnie will never copyright strike or try to take down the reaction. He is a 100% genuine person who understands the industry and loves when people give him feedback and honest criticism. Your gonna go far kid.

Been listening to this one non-stop lately
The first thought that crossed my mind when I first heard this song was... this belongs in a stage musical. I have no idea why, but I can see this as a solo song on Broadway.
This is gonna sound super weird, but I served in the military and this song reminds me of the high I got from serving. The drug in me is you reminds me of the adrenaline rush of going to war. I was pararescue so think life flight but for the Air Force. When the Navy SEAL’s needed a pick me up, they called us. This song reminds me so much of serving and my time in the military.
Pausing: Pausing a lot is not a problem, as long as you're not pausing in the middle of a 'phrase'(for the lack of a better term), you can go nuts. It only gets annoying when pausing actually interrupts, rather than waiting a few seconds for a fitting point to do so(most songs has plenty of moments where one can easily pause, without actually interrupting anything).
That said, loving the reactions thus far, especially liking that unlike a lot of reactors, you don't seem to be sticking to a single genre of music(thus far).
Truth be told...you can never appreciate music if you pause it every few seconds

SUGGESTIONS… I came here for the Falling In Reverse reactions and you may just have become my favorite reactor. Pretty much all the others end up pretending to react as they think that's what their audience wants but neglect to realise audiences just want genuine reactions.

I think the meaning for the singer with the "Can't you see" line addressed to the girl/drug/mental illness metaphor is trying to get acknowledgment that she/it is killing him and he's in "hell" because of her/it.

Any of his reimagined/revamped songs, he has done a version almost a decade ago when his band was more of a emo punk rock genre. I would suggest watching his original versions before seeing the reimagined. Gives you another whole aspect of how well these reimagined songs were put together by Ronnie radke. Besides the last resort one. That one was originally done by papa roach.
Def suggest doing his trio, watch them in order. Losing my mind, losing my life, and drugs. Make sure you watch those videos until the end. Losing my life and drugs have a extra part after the song ends. Anyways, much love and enjoy your reactions. You got a new sub!

When you watch the original version of this song pay attention to the guitar solo, and then remember back to this version when he plays the same solo on a friggin piano!

If you love this you'll go insane for "I'm Not A Vampire (Revamped). It's literally like watching a movie the production and cinematography is phenomenal. Also you should check the originals of that one and this video. It's hard to believe they're the same songs.
I'd love seeing you react to Pain Remains I, II and III from Lorna Shore. But keep the lyrics ready to understand everything. And some tissues. Will be interesting, if you see beauty in these songs as well.

If you have any interest in more videos from this band, imo the trifecta is Zombified, popular monster and of course what should be song of the year in 2023, watch the world burn. Ronnie has so much depth to his ability to sing he's able to cross genre's easily and I think Watch the world burn is a truly unique sound and song. There may be others who tried and/or did this but I don't know of them. IMO watch the world burn is as genre changing as Smells like teen spirit was for Nirvana. Should be song of the year, but won't because it gets limited play.

This is DEFINITELY not their typical sound. They remade two of their songs, this and I am not a vampire (revamped). They are a rock/punk band. But Ronnie (the singer) is CRAZY talented.

Being a singer, you really have to check out PLUSH - Left Behind. The Singer, Moriah Formica is one of the best singers out right now in any genre. She is a combination of Ann Wilson, Amy Lee and Lzzy Hale with a touch of Sebastian Bach.

Gotta admit, Im a little bit disappointed you didnt see the fangs when theyre on full display in the second verse.
I kinda giggled to myself when you first said you got Dracula vibes and then said "I dont think he had pointed teeth but the look in general".
The whole look *does* give vampire vibes but Im pretty sure that your brain registered vampire teeth even if you didnt consciously see them.
Its a very specific thing to NOT have, the reason that particular sentence poped into yout mind was probably cuz your subconscious was thinking it.
This tends to give funny reactions when the person in question notice what happened. 🤣

Re the Dracula vibe. In fact, he's not a vampire. He wrote a song about it, called I'm Not A Vampire. There are two versions - the original and the revamped version. If you want to check them out, I suggest doing it in chronological order.
