Yoooo
This Captain is a brilliant host, diligent and detailed. Very accommodating, it’s a busy process, too, initial power up!
Can't get enough of this clip. I see nothing but professional, courteous, patient, exceptional piloting from Aer Lingus! Well done
The flybywire team for MSFS have got the start up sounds spot on, brilliant video thankyou
They really have done such a a good job with it
Hey, I'm the guy that actually makes sounds for them, it's really awesome to hear such kind words from you guys :)
@@hotshot4512 Thanks for your contribution, Sounds make a huge difference to the level of immersion
@@hotshot4512 Keep up the great work!

Little wonder why Just Planes enjoys such a tremendous following. This is truly a beautiful channel that should serve as an inspiration to millions. Great photography, excellent information, beautiful, bright, professional people...Just Planes is a number one channel in my aviation list. Well done.
Thank you very much Peter for those kind words. Glad you enjoy our channel!
Wow that pilot captain was very friendly and respectful . What a professional. 👏🙏
I love how he takes off the jacket before he sits on the cockpit!
What a nice captain. This is great PR for the airline
Same two great pilots, same amazing aircraft, and same great airline. I enjoy watching and listening to these pilots. This is the first time seeing this one, but I sure do love it. I love how the Captain allowed you on the plane while it had no power. How he explained everything while the plane was turning on was very detailed. Then again, he was very detailed about everything. Love hearing the pilot's speech to the passengers. I think it's great that you can fly to Dublin, go through US Customs there, and then fly domestic to the US. I love seeing other planes while taxing. Awesome take-off that sounds amazing. Amazing different camera positions as well. Beautiful view outside these windows. Awesome video, I love it.
Thank you Shannon. Glad you enjoyed watching this video and those 2 pilots. Cheers
Aer lingus have a fantastic safety record
Could you do another series from the cabin crew’s perspective, perhaps a video featuring both the pilots and flight attendants on the one flight, showing their interactions between each other, preparing the cabin, boarding, take off prep etc?
Extremely professional, efficient communication between the crew. I flew with Lingus to JFK back in 1988 and a few times since. Lovely people, friendly airline. Thank you for the clip 🥳👍
Very nice! Aer Lingus.... ☘️☘️ Beautiful cockpit views above the clouds! Makes me want to book a flight to Ireland!
Excellent video. Great shots through the cockpit with the sun above the clouds. Crew were excellent. Really professional and very instructive for the viewer. Really enjoyed that. Thank you.
Thank you very much Gerry!
My favourite airline! I always fly Aer Lingus to Chicago.
What a great video ! I join many others in saying how friendly and reliable this Capt is ! Well done !
Always love those cockpit shots of breaking through the tops of the clouds. :)
Your videos just get better and better so interesting to watch and understand especially when I'm afraid of flying good job 👏👍
Thank you very much mark. Hopefully they help calm your fear!
Love your cold start!!
Great shots and coverage. Also seeing the start up from cold. Did not know has an on board generator, so not reliant on a ground feed prior to main engines start.
Thank you!
It's crazy how organised the ATC has to be. Seriously impressive.
Great video! Ive got to get back to Ireland! Thanks JP for posting
BE A U TI FUL ! nothing other words. Would love now to see this flight landing :) Thanks for your work
I have the full program, great crew there, very good teamwork.
What a nice Captain !
Being Irish and living in Manchester U.K. 21 years myself, Aer Lingus is the flag carrier for my native Ireland and makes me so proud to be Irish - since 9/11 it’s such a pity that I can’t ride jumpseat with the Captain and First Officer the next time I’m coming home into Dublin, even though I’m originally from Dunshaughlin Co Meath in Rural Ireland 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪❤️
Ah my home airport and airline. Its been 11 months, I really missing flying and travelling :-(
I would legitimately find a way to get myself to Dublin just so I could have the chance of coming across a pilot such as him. Courteous, professional, patient, welcoming, kind, friendly.. what an outstanding job done by the people at Aer Lingus
Very much enjoyed watching this video on my big screen TV 👍😊
JP Hello again! Great vid.....love the conversation from the pilots!
Very relaxing flight......really appreciate your filming JP! Thanks

He was my pilot on my last trip to lanzarote fantastic pilot
Fabulous 😊
Amazing, and these pilots are great, and is confident in their plane. They did not grab the thrust after take off, and let the plane do its own job, which is the correct standard procedure. I see so many pilots, even captains, just grab the thrust for 5 to 10 ,imputes after take off, which is not necessary as the plane is on auto thrust. Grabbing the auto thrust too tight will even disengage the auto thrust, increasing their work load.
Now, both pilot have both hands free to maneuver the plane, and workload decreased. Well done.
This is what we call cold and dark😁
Respect. 👍🏽
*Informative. thank*
Thank you
Anyone else ever notice all Airbus's have that distinct Airbus humming noise from the engines?
Because most use the same CFMI engines.
@@Jack3md CFM engines introduced in '87 as well. Much louder than modern designs.
Great
Thanks
10:45 He's like a miniature Terry Wogan 😂
I just hear the Irish speak and I feel like drinking a Guinness😂.
very lovely and beautiful
Glad you enjoyed it

5:16 and Captain Stephen is very handsome too 😍😍😍😍
That first officer has gorgeous eyes
Bye bye my commander 🧑✈️👩✈️🛫

Amazing pilot team, alert and confident

Lovely video. It is sobering to see a dead aircraft
🤩
wow
There should be an option for pilots to turn on a do not disturb function so things like checklists or briefings aren't interrupted as noted at 13:25
❤️✈️
Enjoy the video!👨✈️✈️

Full departure out of Dublin, aer lingus A330-200 - captain Owen, first officer Fiona pls
This guy must love the camera, he's piloting a fight to Lisbon in another video.
It’s the same video. They did two sectors and went to Nice and Lisbon in the same episode in the same day
Cheers.
Yes they're both part of the same A320 film which features 4 flights.
@@justplanes 👍
Good thing coming he said bet he's not saying it now lol
Are there any friendly flight crews then Aer Lingus Pilots?? It must be the Lucky Charms.
Fun fact lucky charms don't sell in ireland
@@conorcannon5046 too bad.
@@On-Our-Radar-24News yeah
Quite the rocket takeoff. Never heard a 320's engines pushed so hard.
And that's only flex thrust
Wait until you see a TOGA takeoff
@@aviationfan2637 every airline ceo would have an aneurism at the thought of that kind of fuel burn
Hello i from cambodia
Cann we have another video with first officer Fiona?
Perhaps when she moves up to Captain we could ask Aer Lingus...
Ta se dathuil!
Do they have sun visors on the A320 :)
I think those can be magnetically attachable like the polarized screens 🙄🙄
@@manukalias no. They’re swivelled into position from above the windscreen at the front and rolled up it down from the trim in the side windows. No magnets needed on airbus.
By any chance with technology as we have it. Has anyone ever given the thought to place a cockpit cam in the cockpit and make the preflight check a regular event for all passengers to watch if they desire? If showing the preflight check and procedures would be safe and would not be unsafe to do so.
1 it can be a security threat. and 2, it can be a bit of invasion of privacy sort to speak.
What about for any plane with IFE, you could install a device that monitors the same ATC frequency as the cockpit itself. That way, pax would be able to know what the aircraft has been told to do as well as know what's happening in an emergency
@@aviationfan2637 Again no. Reason being that 1, the threat can be inside the aircraft itself. Anyone who wants data, can just book a flight, and gather intel.
2, for psychological reasons. Not everything has to be relayed to the passengers, to minimize chaos.
3, all this info is too technical. A normal non aviation passenger won't be able to understand or maybe interpret a wrong information. It has happened that passengers have complained about their aircraft not being lined up towards the runway, when in reality they were doing a crosswind landing. Or complained that the pilots didn't land smoothly, when in reality they had to land on a short wet runway where you have to avoid a smooth landing etc
they should redo the after take off checklist as they've been interrupted by atc half way the list
Thank you for your comment. For more be sure to visit www.justplanes.com
Why does she only have two bars for a first officer?
This is why air lingus are a far better airline
Good
Enjoy the video!👨✈️✈️
@@justplanes thank you and good luck
wait.... What OS are they using on the PC around 1:00 ?
Aren't both pilots supposed to be strapped in when they are seated?
Is it a hair transplant scar at 4:56?
Think it's just from his hat
0.31 secs he says..we have a “fit aircraft...no defects”😳😳 id like to bloody think so 😂 tell me you dont fly with un-fit aircrafts and defects?
No, they dont, but if it isnt air worthy they need a new aircraft!
He just said it for the sake of saying it, like saying “ten fingers, ten toes” and “good to go” 😆
12:00 After "AP1" it's getting paid for merely enjoying the view, all the way to Nice.
I mean not really…
No. Not at all
For my opinion there are too many buttons which have to be pressed during machine startup.
how? for the machine startup you press batteries, then apu. thats it
What happened to the rest of the flight? 2/3 of the way through the video you went back to the takeoff. Bummer
They landed😁😁

Why does FO only have two bars instead of three?
Could be a second officer... But normally you will find them on longhaul oparations.
@@jf3052 thanks. Don’t remember seeing that much in US carriers.
It’s a common practice in Irish and British airlines for FO’s under 1500hrs Total time or in the company (company dependent)
@@anostalgic3402 ah, thanks. Sort of like the Restricted ATP Rating in US these days. Back when I was flying there were so many military pilots that the two stripe types were Flight Engineers, mostly or flew shot hop prop planes.
@@artnickel7624 My pleasure! Didn't know restricted ATP ratings in the US were flying with two stripes. But yes its an easy way for the skipper to distinguish if the FO is possibly restricted under certain conditions.
