To be honest, I have watched both of these pilots over the last 2 years on UA-cam, what a Master class Fiona gets from the caption - well deserved and amazing pilots. wishing you a very happy and safe career!
never ceases to amaze me - what fine professionals these folks are and the skills they attain to do this job - thank you to air & ground personnel that get us up and to our destination and then bring us down and back home again - safely
Both Captain Fitzgibbon & First Officer Boink are brilliant working together. Watching this is like a well oiled well choreographed west end show. Each know their specific tasks and well it’s a pleasure to watch
Top notch video. Just flew to Ireland a few weeks ago on a similar plane. The crew were top class and went to extremes to make us comfortable. Thank you Aer Lingus
I flew on Aer Lingus to Ireland and back in December 2007. I remember on the DUB-ORD leg looking out the window while eating dinner and seeing icebergs as we approached the southern tip of Greenland. I remember thinking how surreal the whole experience was. Loved flying Aer Lingus and remember the great service on both legs.
Wonderful, and a privilege to share the cockpit with this highly skilled crew. I've now found a new way to relax and chill out for a while.... cup of tea or coffee and pretend I'm sitting in the spare seat watching all going on before me. A magical experience. Many many thanks @justplanes
Loved the re-shot of the landing from the ground with the GPWS call outs - always interesting to see how high the aircraft actually is by sight during those call outs.
Wow .... Pilots don't make enough money . Looks like a dream job for the right kind of person but not me , wouldn't have one nerve left . I bet bringing one of those huge planes down and landing it must be intense . I have much respect for these people .
This crew is THE best and most informative to follow. They are real professionals at what they do. By the way, I remember returning from Korea once and we were due to land on this or the right runway and banks of fog were rolling in and the pilot had to make 2 go arounds before we finally landed. The pilots in the video had much better weather do deal with on this day.
This video is absolutely amazing....another wonderful video from JustPlanes. I am so impressed with the cockpit crew. First Officer Fiona is amazing. Wonderful communication in the cockpit.
At 17:59 you can see a United 747, which were retired in November 2017. Aer Lingus started flying to SF in October 2017, so this must have been one of the first DUB -> SFO flights
Hard to believe, but true. In 1969 I flew “deadhead” from LA to SFO alone with just three stewardesses and a grand piano on a double decker jet with a spiral staircase - for about $30. Best flight / deal ever.
Boy, does this bring back memories. Way back in 1967 i drove across the Golden Gate Bridge as a young hippie. A golden time. Was with a golden girl called Tania. Parties, orgies, music, yes a golden time.

What the fuck does that have to do with this video
Amazing. Thumbs up.I’ve always watched airplanes all my life since I was 8 years old in Dorval. From DC-8’s to the Tristars, to dhc-3. Dc9-727’s, it’s always fascinating and breathtaking to watch all the airline videos. Wardair-CP-air,nordair,etc. Shamrock is definitely on my list. 100 years of aviation is just the tip of the iceberg.
I like the view of the city, I work in SF in a lot of the big buildings and get to see the planes come into SFO. I realize that working up so high in those buildings that most people will never get to see San Francisco from 60+ floors high. Pilots get the best views ever! Takes only a few minutes to go over the city and all the way to Palo Alto and back. Fiona and the crew are amazing at what they do. So professional at all times. And Fiona is so pretty! Love her and her accent ❤️
Can I see more of your flights together, you guys are perfect together.....I would be on your plane any time.....you are calm and on top in the cockpit...simply great.....
You both are so smooth and great together......I can't wait to fly on your plane to Ireland....I know it would be a great flight.....Congrats to you both.....keep on flying....

Hi JustPlanes, I've stopped buying your DVDs for years, But I've retruned and I bought 3 of them recently, and this because of these longer unedited clips you feature on UA-cam. It just pushed me to buy again !! ;-)
@@OliDeu Thats nice to hear, thank you very much FlyA350 and I think it was indeed a good idea to extend these videos to 15-20mins and we will continue that. Thanks again :)
I can really do nothing else but echo the views of my fellow commentators concerning the competence and professionalism of these two pilots and by extension all those who have undergone the same rigorous selection and training process.. It would be my pleasure to fly with this cockpit team anywhere and anytime. I have flown with Aer Lingus and apart from a bit of a rough landing in Malaga due, no doubt to severe cross wind conditions, my flights have been extremely enjoyable. It is my understanding that this airline is suffering financial difficulties and I think that the aviation world would be all the worse if it lost this member of the airline family.
The simultaneous visuals into SFO are interesting. The aircraft are staggered very close together landing on the parallels. You can literally see the pilots in the aircraft next to you and wave hi. 😜
I loved coming in SFO for years Once the pilot came on and said I feel that I am too close to the plane ahead of us and am going to the back of the line for safety. Loved that feeling of the plane pulling out of line
Is this an old-ish video? much different San Francisco skyline, no Salesforce Tower, minimal south of Market tower boom. Great video nonetheless! Absolutely love videos from my home airport, especially routes I've been on like this one.

Thank you. We have invited Air Portugal every year now and nothing... but we've filmed Portugalia... We've filmed EuroAtlantic.... We've filmed HiFly... so basically every other airline in Portugal :)
Aircraft that are above a certain weight add Heavy to their call sign... and the A380 adds super... a way for ATC and the aircraft behind to know its a big airplane... you can google this to get the exact weights if you want more information
Anything bigger than an A320 or B 737 is classed as heavy due to the wake the leave on take of and landing so for example if an A330 lands a smaller plane has to wait a couple of mins to land behind it as ir would make for a very bumpy landing
logsar brown any aircraft above a max take off mass of 136,000kg is classed as heavy. It is an identifier a of the amount of turbulence the plane will create!

She is a captain now! Great airline
We pay professional people for what know not what they do
Fiona is fantastic and a very beautiful lady. Great poilet it's great to watch her.
To be honest why does Fiona have fake eyelashes, looks unprofessional, but vanity is one of the seven deadly sins.
The copilot’s appearance is of absolutely no relevance.
