So any Neapolitan in the mid 7 range would be the equivalent of a NY style scoring a 8.5 or higher. People focus too much on the big scores. Those are specific to ny and new haven spots. He’s not gonna give many wild spots higher than a mid 8. As for why he reviews just cheese - Cheese is the most basic pizza of all. If you can’t make a good cheese, you aren’t a good pizza spot. Toppings are like makeup. The cheese is the start; everything builds upon it.

at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buffet.
I live in Austin. I wanted to try that place out because it scored so high on the one bite app (the highest in Austin) but i haven’t been willing yet to shell out 26 plus tax.
I'm in the same boat, with diverticulitis to boot. Sometimes though, I just eat what I want knowing that I will suffer for it. Always worth it in the moment I'm eating. Never worth it later. I have been out of work for 2 days in a row because I ate a tiny bit of something I shouldn't have. I've wondered if it would feel better to just rip my stomach and intestines out... I've prayed to Gods I don't believe in. I've made deals with them. Anything to not have to be experiencing the trauma. Swearing, I'll stay away from those foods in the future, and never holding to it. I tell people all the time, that I don't wish this on my worst enemy. I even have a worst enemy I might wish some minor amount of ill upon. Not Chron's. Not diverticulitis. There are so many foods I 100% cannot eat, and as a lover of food, it is a fucking nightmare.

I go here all the time, have tried a bunch of high 8s and low 9s rated by Dave in the north east. Mid 8s is where this pizza lands for me relative to the others I've had. Easily the best in Austin if you're here and haven't tried it.

another good video! great to see you vibing with the locals and it's cool the chick from the food truck came out too, my man was back there in the food truck scoping the situation :) anyway my take on this, watching people who cannot handle spicy food is so got damn hilarious and even cute in a way. i put either ground chilli or ground cayenne pepper, tobasco sauce or any habenero or siracha hot sauce on pretty much every meal i eat (no i don't eat breakfast meals i eat 2 dinners every day) i cannot survive without having at least a months worth of hot spices/sauces in my pantry, just so i know i won't run out. kudos on upping the score of the pizza in the end, the pizza makers seem legit and the pizza looked like it was made with love, extra credit to them for adding the basil imho. peace!

Recently found your channel and I love it. I wish you would come to Sweden and try our pizzas out. I think we might be the best in the world on pizza. I never been in america but I been in Norway,Denmark,Spain,Greece,Holland,Italy and they have all been shit compared to Swedish pizza. Also we have pizza sallad that is served with every pizza you eat.

Every time Dave reviews a non-pizza item (tacos, donuts, fried dough, cheesesteaks etC), it is almost always an 8.5 - 9.5
That's partially because the non-pizza items he eats are what the restaurants are really for.
